  • Recumbent Trike magnetism, picking up stragglers
Also, this video will show how we’re on a ride back on a 22-mile ride and we’re just coming past a place called pool Road which is an entry on the Neuse River Trail and there’s this guy that looks like he was resting and then just as we were approaching him it appears as though he jumped back on the trail and started riding with us. What’s interesting about this situation is I can give you countless examples where this has happened, maybe one day I’ll put a video together of every time that something like what happened in this video was you riding along and then you look behind you and you’ve got other riders riding behind you. I think people that are on upright bikes are curious when I see someone that’s on a recumbent trike. Anyway, enjoy the video.
This was a 20-mile ride with my cousin Jim and myself, and I thought this was just another example of how people light up and want to be around people that ride trikes. I think when you see someone on a recumbent trike it’s a novelty, an anomaly, and it’s unique, and people that ride trikes are some of the most unique people that I’ve ever met. Now that’s just my personal opinion.
Check out this video, and this video I depict how people respond to a recumbent trike. • How Riders Respond to ...

I agree with what you’re saying. I’m not a cycler however, when I was walking on a trail several weeks ago I passed 2 people on recumbents, and it’s like the bug just jumped out on top of me! They looked so happy and having such fun. As of now,
I have a Catrike 559 on order and expected to be here in January.
    I cannot wait!
Love your videos. Very scenic and with helpful information for my new venture. 😃

I think it's because of the first rule of recumbents, always smile. I love my recumbent, even more now that I had a NuVinci installed. I absolutely love riding my expedition. I'm jealous of all these trails, we don't have anything like that around here. We've been slowing shifting (no pun intended) to internally geared hubs. We have a Priority Apollo Gravel with a Alfine hub and my NuVinci N380.

@@themotivatedrider3840 It's Texas, it's a widely held belief that Texas really dislikes cyclists. I'm originally from Minnesota where we have one trail that spans most of the state. So I know how awesome trails are.

Beautiful ride and great video with audio perfectly blended in. I’m glad your weather is holding up nicely. Been riding here in very cold New England but driving south to Florida the weekend after next. Do you live adjacent to I-95? I will be riding all the way down on 95 and if you are near an exit I’d love to stop in and say hi and meet up. Have a great holiday season. Best wishes. Stay well. Mark

Mark, I am and I would love that. Any idea when you will be coming through? I’m near exit 81 in benson, NC off 95, I could definitely meet you.

@@themotivatedrider3840 I intend to leave Cape Cod on Saturday december 12 and historically I try to do the 1550 mile drive in two days/one night, generally stopping in NC for that night. Of course it is all weather and traffic dependent. Should I get delayed along the way then it becomes 3 days /two nights. My direct email is teeball525@aol.com . Drop me an email and I will exchange cell numbers with you and we can communicate en route. Looking forward to it. Best wishes. Mark

I've spoken to countless curious people. They're intrigued until they hear the cost, then look at me like I'm insane. 😂

Save the tripe about saving $8/month on a movie channel. Promoting free channels has NOTHING to do with recumbent trikes. I have ADD and can still stay on topic better. 🙄

NOBODY, and by that I mean no living cyclist, wants to be passed by a trike! That makes it more fun 💀

Correct. I love to yell out “ old man on a trike passing on the left”! The looks I get are amazing when I zip by them at 18-22 mph! Have to love it!

I often say, "See you soon," and inevitably the "serious" cyclists eventually catch up and blow past me (but at least they usually wave).
