I asked for the demo and you did it certainly it will save lot of time but there is one problem we cannot steam big pieces which is only possible in commercial steamers
    Am I right
Thanks for the video you are the best honest teacher😊

Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 You are absolutely right; microwave steaming is ideal for small to medium-sized pieces due to space limitations. For larger items like full-sized dupattas or sarees, commercial steamers are indeed the better option. However, for quick projects or smaller pieces, the microwave method is a great time-saver.
To be honest, I used silk paints for this process and have never used silk dyes because they are not readily available in Pakistan. I recommend that if you are using dyes, try painting a small piece first and then test this steaming method. The microwave method is based entirely on my personal knowledge and experience with silk-painted items. The process is truly helpful, so I encourage you to give it a try on a small piece

Which process you do out of these three techniques since you do commercially dupattas and scarfs?

For larger projects like dupattas and sarees, I recommend trying the first method - steaming with a large pot. It works effectively like a professional steamer for beginners and small-scale work.
If you are doing silk painting commercially on a daily basis, investing in a proper steamer is ideal. At least 3 to 4 large pieces can be steamed at once, saving time and effort. I also have one more idea for a steamer that allows you to steam multiple large pieces easily. I will share more about it in a few days.
For smaller experimental pieces, the microwave method is a quick and efficient option. I encourage you to try it and see how it works for you

Wa Alaikum Salam and Jumma Mubarak! 🌸 Thank you for your suggestion. Explaining the texture and shine of different silks can be tricky, as there are so many varieties like China silk and local options. I’ll try to share quick tips on selecting the best silk for painting in a future post. Stay tuned

Can we do this with jacquard red label dyes.

You can definitely give it a try! Paint a small piece of silk with Jacquard Red Label dyes, then steam it in the microwave using the method shown in the video. I’ve personally tried this method with silk paints and Marabu gutta, and it worked well. Testing a small piece first will help you see how the dyes react and what the final result looks like. Best of luck, and feel free to share your experience

what happens to gutta that is applied before microwaving? I estimate it would melt and may damage the fabric

The gutta doesn't melt or damage the fabric during microwaving, as long as it’s properly applied and the fabric is carefully wrapped before steaming. I've tested this process with gutta extensively, and it holds up well. Just make sure to follow the wrapping and steaming instructions for the best results
