Ive had the 936ST for about 5 months . What a picture , and my sipplier has released the 4k software just yet. But i made adjustments and did a custom resolution. But my goodness , what an improvement already. 4k is the way the industry is heading , so get er done
The Optoma is about 6.5' back as it's a shorter throw ratio(.49) and the BenQ is about 9' back as it's not as short of a throw ratio. They're both about 1' above the top of the screen.
idk man i got the Optoma GT2100HDR Compact Short Throw Laser Home Theater and Gaming Projector, 1080p HD with 4K HDR Input, Bright 4,200 Lumens for Day and Night Viewing and if you turn up the saturation when you press L it looks really good feels like a big price difference to jus see a few little thigns
I can tell you for sure it makes a big visual difference in person. Every time I test a new projector that's 1080P I am always anxious to get back to 4K as quickly as possible. But, for the price difference, yes most people will be more than happy without it!
Great video idea I cant speak for everyone but i would assume everyone wonders the way I do how much of an upgrade it would be I have the LU935ST and kinda kick myself for not springing for the 4k version. Also quick question where did you get the clock? Love that with the case around it
@@PixelGolf nice job on the clock. Of course the 936 will be noticeable it’s just hard to put a price on how noticeable the lu935st is $4000 and the 936 is around $5000 it’s really more a matter of trying to justify it in my mind than anything. I had the 700sti before this on which is 4k but was not a good reference point considering how much lower the lumens are it was always a bit washed out unfortunately. Anyway thanks for your time I do appreciate it. Maybe one day I’ll take the plunge….. again lol
Yeah, it’s near 5k and the other is about 2k. But, there’s a lot of people building sims that don’t understand what they get for the extra money. A Honda civic is a great car that gets the job done and is reliable. My point of the video is to speak on the comparisons and showcase that they’re both great projectors and give the information to help people decide what direction they want to head in.
Agreed, 4K will not improve your golf skills and is a luxury option. However, it’s not wasted money… We use our sim for Movies as well and it makes a huge difference and the extra details it makes to sim play are worth it to us. But, I’ll never be the guy telling people to break the bank for the upgrade, that money can be spent on a better launch monitor. It really comes down to what works for you and your budget in the end.

What height is this mounted above the hitting surface? What distance from the screen?

What ceiling mount are you using for the 936st my current one does not stretch far enough to hit all 4 holes
I actually took some extra legs I had from another mount and linked them together to reach the holes.
Hey what unit would you recommend for a garage
Very low lighting 10x7.7 screen
Distance 6-8ft away
With that distance I would look at the Optoma, alnk.to/faBylKU It has a .49 throw ratio that should land you in between 6-8 feet.

I haven’t tried the LU935ST, but 4K is obviously going to be a noticeable upgrade. The clock I made myself.

Thanks for the video. About to build my own, debating on a 1080p or a 4K.
Let us know if you need any additional help!
@@PixelGolf Remember that you'll need a much more powerful graphics card to run smoothly in 4k
Nice video, where did you get the Rolex clock from sweet addition to your room
Thank you, I made it myself.
O ok I figured that been looking for it since I seen your video and couldn’t find it nowhere. Where did you get the gold clock from? Looks good buddy
I think one should consider investing in a Laser projector instead of focusing on 1080 vs 4k
Well in this case, these are both laser. But yes, laser is definitely a big plus for sims.
ummm but isn’t that projector like $5,000? Is this comparing a Honda Civic to a Ferrari?

Honestly, 4k can not improve your golf skills, or make you practice better, the 1080p is good enough, so the extra $3000 monkey is wasted.
