Hey lovelies! What is your fav Zelink? The art in this thumbnail I used in an old video a couple years ago. Jumping Crowd gave me permission for using it back then, thought it worked well for this idea too. Here’s their page on Zelda Amino! aminoapps.com/c/zelda/page/user/jumpingcrowd/g0vc_xf4DVr81rmGEmMJrgbx6vYXJVU3
Edible Incredible hey um the ending of twilight princess suggest that he fell in love with Zelda and just stayed friends with ilia. And when hero of time called Link his child I don’t think that was literally and smash actually suggests their love to be a pattern. Link and Zelda are almost as if all in one in the game. There is a picture of Zelda and Link watching the first scene as if it’s a movie and a pic of both Link and Zelda holding the sword together and the ending of Zelda 2 really suggests a love interest.
The Japanese actually makes it more clear on Link’s feelings for Zelda. His diary entries specifically state how Link wants to see Zelda smile again and thinks she beautiful and he even mentions that he “accepts” Zelda’s feelings when he discovered she loves him. So I’d say that Botw Zelink is canon.
I like Link with Zelda in Breath of the Wild most. Link already confided in her the reason as to why he is so quiet and clammed up. That would also explain why he doesn't show his outward feelings. I'm fairly certain he's fallen for her too, just he feels he can't show that emotion.
Maybe Link'd be more traumatized by the Great Calamity if he still showed his feelin's more. He had the genuine remorse fer not bein' able ta save his pals from their deaths. They both felt regret 'cuz Calamity Ganon murdered almost everybody they ever loved (so they'd win 100 years later without the arrogance). She said that it was all her fault 'cuz the entire kingdom was bein' ravaged by the destruction that the Calamity caused (with the same technology she was researchin'). The Master Sword got the nicks, the crack, an' the rust 'cuz Link received life-threatenin' injuries from the energy beams ('cuz it was an extension of 'imself). When he was badly wounded with them life-threatenin' injuries, the Master Sword got nicked, cracked, an' rusted 'cuz he was dyin' from the shots. They was sharin' each other's pain AND power. Her power was unlocked by the power of love when she protected Link. Turns out, the real love was the trigger that led to the awakenin'. The peasant who became the Captain of the Princess's Guard was the boy she fell in love with. It wasn't just his life bein' saved by her that day. Other Hylian survivors got saved by Hylia's power with the Guardians bein' disabled (AND purified by the light). He collapsed. She was scared o' losin' him. Fi let the light glow. It was her way of lettin' Zelda know that he could still be saved from death. When he was kept alive in the Shrine of Resurrection fer 100 years, the sacred sword was fully healed. He needed 13 real Heart Containers 'cuz he failed the sacred sword AND his destiny the first time. Fi wanted ta make sure Link had the real strength (seein' through the false bravado). By not lettin' him just get the sword back without 13 hearts, she's makin' sure that he's strong enough ta really survive the "Test of Strength". She's also makin' sure that he's ready to adapt to the new limits AND improvise when it's outta power (with other weapons). She made sure that she was givin' it time ta really recharge with every 10 minutes she got, an' that's showin' us that she ain't done recoverin' yet. It's still completely unbreakable in the game (it don't break like most of the other weapons), just with the limited power ta really teach Link (AND the players) to be smarter with how many times it's bein' used. The game could crash if the Master Sword's uses was infinite. The developers limited its uses by keepin' the power limited so Link wouldn't be too reckless with it like 100 years ago. It was also a mechanism that was put in so that players wouldn't use it all the time without switchin' to the other weapons. The Hylian Shield breaks, just like every other shield 'cuz the heroic power that made it completely indestructible was made weaker by more than 10,000 years. Collectin' the other weapons keeps it varied. Rethinkin' yer strategies was what they was goin' fer.
exxor9108 I agree, actually Mipha also asked Link why he became silent, but Link didn’t answer her. When Zelda asked him, he answered. Probably because he know that they share the similar fate and same level of stress on their shoulder
It's really wholesome but sad. They both feel they must conform to fit their roles with Link being honorable to the king and being the appointed knight to the royal family and Zelda commonly belittled by her father who chose to be king first, father second. I'm really hoping in the sequel it shows how the two must fare alone in Hyrule without managment. Zelink for the win
Skyward Sword is hella canon and I feel like we don’t talk enough about how if every Zelda thereafter is a descendent of the original, they are also likely descendants of the first hero. If any Zelink got married and had children, it was absolutely them.
Skyward Sword Link was the second hero named Link. The Link in the Goddess Era came first. The guy with the green outfit, the red cape, AND the golden pauldrons. Think that he was with Hylia before he was locked up (imprisoned) fer 4 years. After them 4 years, they reunited, an' they was together again. In the game, he's called the Chosen Hero at the beginnin'. "My dear Hylia, even when folks change, this land's beauty ain't changin' yet. If ya need me, I'll be defendin' you's till my last day". He could be callin' her "dear Hylia" 'cuz he still cared, even with the resentment against his imprisonment (fer a crime he didn't commit). He was still the hero, just humbled by the dungeon. He admitted that he was impure (mixed with the good AND the bad, even when he wasn't amoral). "I was locked up fer 4 years. My honor's kinda ruined. I'm impure, an' I ain't sure if I could touch the holy sword". He didn't choose revenge. He chose humanity's safety, 'cuz THAT'S the heroic cause he was fightin' fer. When he shattered the Master Sword that was the broadsword, he melted it down. He remade it into a blade with the hexagonal cross-section. When he led the battle, he was savin' humanity from extinction, even when many of 'em died. At the war's end, he faced the Demon King called Demise. Maybe he'd be like, "I ain't scared to die. But before I do, I'll beat ya!" He was badly wounded in the left side by Demise's claws. He rode on the red loftwing's back. The Master Sword's full potential was unlocked fer the first time with the Triforce symbol bein' put on the blade by three dragons, Eldin (the dragon in the fiery mountain with Din in his name), Lanayru (the dragon in the desert with Nayru in his name), and Faron (the dragon in the forest with most of the letters fer Farore in her name). Hylia an' Link used the Master Sword ta separate his home from the ground (with the survivors goin' sky high to be protected), an' then he said his last words while acceptin' that he was needed on the ground. He could say, "I hope that y'all live with happiness, you guys. I really wanted ta go up with y'all. My body ain't movin'. Dammit! Heya, loftwing. Sorry I couldn't keep ridin' on yer back. Y'gonna make my last wish into a reality? It don't hurt no more. My spirit's always gonna be with all y'all". He died after he had his last words. When Demise was sealed fer many years, Hylia was shocked that Link was dead. She was both scared AND sad. The guy she loved was dead in her arms. She admitted that his imprisonment was so he could remake an' use the Master Sword. She admitted that she felt his pain. She promised that they'd be reunited. Then Skyward Sword happened. His promise as "Knight of the Goddess" was kept. Now the other Links could be the heroes 'cuz he made that promise outta love. Then Skyward Sword Link took over as the next hero. He wasn't the first Link. 'Cuz Skyward Sword Zelda said that there was the Link who was Hylia's Chosen Hero. Link was his name. He was just called the chosen hero ta really differentiate 'im from the Link born on Skyloft, the sleepyhead who became his first successor. Then Link an' Zelda founded Hyrule. Maybe they got married, had kids, an' led to the fams with the "Blood of the Goddess" and the "Spirit of the Hero". Their descendants started the monarchy AND the fam with the commoners havin' the heroic spirit.
True Lion of Hylia That’s true as far as there being a hero before Link, so I suppose my original comment above should be modified to say “likely descendants of the first Zelda and Link.” My understanding was that Hylia’s Chosen Hero in the manga isn’t explicitly canon, so we don’t really know what the name of the original Hero was as far as the games speak. We just know that Link is his reincarnation.
@@truelionofhylia8437 Nah dude that comic was said to not be canon. It wouldn't make sense for the timeline and the set up Skyward Sword was supposed to give
lets not forget that, although every incarnation of zelda its descendent from the previous one, link's incarnations ARE NOT connected by blood. the only ones that are indeed from the same family are OOT/MM and TP link
@@truelionofhylia8437 as much as that was a cool comic, it’s not canon at all, and the game makes it pretty clear that skyward sword link is the OG link.
Skyward sword to this point is the most obvious canon zelink but I think botw was leading to a deeper relationship in the sequel. I'd honestly be really frustrated if they just drop that in the sequel. It is obvious nintendo always planned to make a sequel to botw so for them to just drop that element would be a really ridiculous move imo.
I am really hoping to see it develop more in the sequel. But I don't expect them to show us a full romance. That's not the way Nintendo likes to write the relationship between Link and Zelda. Nintendo has always showed us the fledgling stages of Zelink, even in Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild. I am completely certain that those two pairings are in love, but I doubt we'll ever see it when the real romance develops.
@@warrioroflight6872 *achem* That's not how MIYAMOTO likes to write the relationship between Link and Zelda. lmao the writing staff always try to put as much intimacy between the two as they can, but Miyamoto is always limiting how far it goes. He just doesn't like stories in his games to take center stage, and for some reason he really doesn't like romance.
I don't think they'll drop their relationship completely, but in terms of actually getting together I doubt it. I think the most we could get would be implied romance, like, at the end of the game they hold hands or something. then again, botw has broken out of the traditional norm of the Zelda franchises so who's to say that won't be the case in terms of Zelda and Link's relationship. They clearly put effort in to them having a believable relationship (Romanic or not) and I feel like they left too many hints for it just to be ship baiting 1. Paya's journal entry "I wonder If Master Link is in love with Princess Zelda" 2. Kass's song in the DLC "She only had eyes for her own appointed knight" 3. Secret ending with the petal's falling, representing eternal love 4. Zelda only awakens her power when she saves Link 5. (This is AOC, but it's in the same Generation of botw, just a alternate universe, so I feel like it counts) Link reaches out to zelda when the malice created champions try to kill her, then later a version of Zelda awakening her power happens again, once again, to save Link 6. the name of the rare flower that representing eternal love: Silent princess. and I'm sure they're more, but these were just off the top of my head. Why go through all this effort just to drop the ship that literally every Zelda fan wants to see happen? I don't think so.
Two things to add for botw zelink 1: after completing all of kass’s songs, if you return to rito village and talk to him, he will tell you about how his teacher was in love with Zelda but then how his teacher got jealous because “the princess only had eyes for her escort, her own knight attendant” 2: after you complete the “from the ground up” side quest, if you go back to hateno village and talk to bolson, he will tell you that the infinite falling petals thrown at the end of the wedding represent endless love. Then later in the secret ending of the game you see link and Zelda standing with eachother while falling petals of the flower are in the air, which are said the represent endless love
Link and Zelda will always love each other, whether it is in a relationship or not. It is destiny that keeps pulling them back together, and that love will blossom for the better of Hyrule.
In Breath of the Wild, she wasn’t mad cuz her dad picked a weirdo, she was mad because having a knight protecting her was evidence that she wasn’t strong enough to take care of herself and cuz of that, she saw him as her own failures. once she realised that having him around but not interfering with her individual striving was kind, (in her journal it states that) she asked him why he doesn’t talk, and it’s because he silently bear’s any burden placed onto him, no matter how great. She sees that he’s not so different from her and finally realised he’s not weird, he’s just hiding his burdens a different way to Zelda. But the fact that the weight of burdens carried on Link’s shoulders is so heavy, yet he stills lays down everything to protect her, she develops a care to Link, which is why she asked if he remembers her, so he would still be there for her and she could still care for him the same way, or possibly more.. If only video games were an essay topic
he said something about wanting to see her smile again which ends up happening in the true ending. like... i get that they wanted to keep Link a blank slate for whatever reason, but it's so annoying to find out that NoA is cutting little things like these when in the OG HQ they don't care. really hoping if they go the "adventure log" route again they scrape the whole third person thing.
One thing that i found while searching in internet is that someone says tha even the creators of botw ship Zelda and Link together. I'm so glad I searched T﹏T
@@jas9102 i remember reading it from other channel comment, if im not wrong from nintendoblackcrisis? is just that the director of botw also the one who direct SS and spirit track(?) (the one where zelda is spirit form and follow link around). so obviously the director shipping ZeLink from his late game, also journal and evidence from botw is canon. so i just hope that nintendo doesn't drop any relationship between the two of them in the upcoming games and Nintendo of America won't censorship/omission anything related their relationship like they did in botw english version. because japanese version is hella shipping them and i consider the jp is canon one
They should double down on Zelink in Botw 2 I feel like they could do something very interesting with their romance if they made it a centerpiece of the next game
Actually, we do know what BotW Link thinks of Zelda thanks to his journal entries in the Japanese version: I remembered all the things we've been through. Even just a little bit sooner, I wish to see her smiles again with my own eyes
You forgot to mention how Zelda always smiles at link and he smiles back in skyward sword, and the fact that right before getting sucked into the black tornado, she says that there's something she wants to tell him (which is usually before either admitting a mistake or confessing), which by her expression and voice clip is the latter.
Link and Zelda's dynamic is easily my favourite part of Spirit Tracks. Not only is Zelda the most useful companion Link has ever had in gameplay, but the two of them are just adorable.
Aw I quite enjoyed this! Perhaps not my all time fav ZeLink, but I feel like spirit tracks is worth an honorable mention for me. The relationship between that Link and Zelda is actually super close since Zelda is a playable companion throughout the entirety of the game. (Plus they hold hands at the end cutscene hehe)
We know from Zelda's journal that she loves him.if you go into the tower and read carefully through her journal it mentions how overtime she begins to understand and care for link realizing things about him and it enjoying his company. She mentions things like how he's a glutton and loves to eat, why he's always quiet, and other such things. However apparently in the Japanese version of the game or such you can find Links journal, it reveals that he only wishes to see Zelda smile again and thinks that she's incredibly beautiful. so that major hint here seems to be that there is a mutual attraction, something I'm hoping will be further explored in the second game. However one of the most interesting pieces of evidence comes from one of Kass's songs, it's super hard to get meaning it was hidden for good reason. He sings about a song discussing the relationship between the princess and her knight, in the song it reveals that Zelda had feelings for her knight falling for him, well as the player we know that the knight is Link.
After Miyamoto has no say and Aonuma relinquishes so much control over the series, Fujibayashi will seal the deal and make them a couple. He's the one that's the Zelink shipper at Nintendo and thank goodness he's getting more and more influence of the series as director.
Skyward Sword Zelink is probably the most likely to be canon. Just looking at Zelda and Links interactions throughout the story show there’s something going on. When Link finally catches up to Zelda in the sealing temple, and Zelda starts to be encased in the orange crystal, Link’s reaction really shows how much he cares for her. He rushes to Zelda, trying to break the crystal to no avail, and we can tell he’s hurt when she’s frozen for good. And he silently makes a promise to wake her up after the job is done
In skyward sword it is more canon than the end of super Mario galaxy, in fact it would be the only logical reason in how he initiated the royal family in hyle, in addition Zelda says that she always wants to be by Link's side forever and in her diary she wanted only Link to do the ceremony with her, I mean I do not think that there would be left with a ramdon on the surface would be too forced in my opinion.
I don’t ship Link with Paya or Mipha, I would WAY rather Zelink. I hope that they end up being together in BOTW 2. Like Nintendo needs to make them together, especially if this’ll be the last Zelda game.
There's a memory in botw under a tree, next to a korok seed. The memory itself is not anything very romantic, but the korok I mentioned was holding a branch of mistletoe when I found him.
I think it will most likely be a silent cutscene on his part where they kiss or something. If there's any dialog coming from him it will most likely come as a text option for you to choose like all other dialog that comes from Link in the game.
Well you gotta remember that when u get the ending with all the memories in botw it ends with a bunch of petals flowing in the air, and in the sane game an npc says that never ending petals or something like that means eternal love.
When you think about it, all of them are actually canon, since Skyward sword establishes that every incarnation of Link and Zelda are reincarnations of the Goddess Hylia and the Spirit of the Hero, also, you left out the handheld games. Which would have basically forced you to include Minish Cap, Four Swords, and Spirit Tracks for sure.
“In a majority of games, it’s not a thing” Zelda 2: They hugged. I know it’s not much but keep in mind it’s the 1980s Oracle games: Zelda kisses Link on the cheek at the end of the game Minish Cap: Link and Zelda are very good friends that have something more underneath. Especially when Zelda gives Link her shield. Links Awakening: One very subtle yet notable-thing would be towards the start of the game when Marin first finds link would be that he mistakes her for Zelda. Meaning he still thinks about her. Wind Waker: Its obvious that Link has feelings for Tetra and vice versa. Beetle even teases link about it once you are able to buy bombs from him Phantom Hourglass: Since it’s the same link and tetra from wind waker, the feelings are still the same. Spirit Tracks: Legit the whole game builds a friendship between the two, where they hold hands after they defeat Malladus and even wave to each other before the ending credits. Also Link blushes when he first meets Zelda. Hell Zelda even hugs link once she gets her body back. Skyward Sword: this one is way more than obvious. So obvious in fact that Nintendo made a ROMANCE TRAILER for them. BOTW: Diary entries and how they grow closer and closer to each other before the calamity. To be fair, I still feel the two had something in TP and OOT though I can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe in OOT when Zelda placed her hand over Link’s before she sent him back to his childhood? And in Twilight Princess, the way the two not only look at each other, but also hold hands when Zelda asks Link to fight by her side after getting the Light Arrows. Hell even in Hyrule Warriors when the two first lock eyes while Link is doing Knight training, there is chemistry I’m still trying to remember anything from Four Swords, ALTTP, and ALBW (If you guys know any more feel free to comment) In conclusion: THERE IS SOME DAMN CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THESE TWO and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
In Four Swords, the manga, they're really good friends like in the Minish Cap. And in the ending, they walk off together, plus, all four of the Links are extremely determined to save Zelda. Even Shadow Link is swayed to help Vio, Red, Blue, and Green by Zelda's advice. I really like the mangas, because of the story and how it supports the romance. Thanks Himekawa Sensi
Also, the relationship between Link and Zelda in Twilight Princess is a lot more professional than in other Zelda games. I’m certain the Hero of Twilight ends up with Ilia. As for Link and Midna, I see it as something along the lines of Link and Navi from Ocarina of Time, except Link doesn’t go on a hopeless quest into a doomed world to find her.
Missing out on Spirit Tracks was a mistake for looking at Zelink ships, its got a really strong zelda link relationship from the near beginning, even if shes a ghost, its playable Zelda.
Oh but the sheikah logs that were translated away. If everyone had originally played botw with the Japanese version of the logs translated correctly, I’m 90% sure the fandom would have taken in Zelink as just as obvious as it is in Skyward sword. Link says A LOT in there that alludes to a romantic relationship between the two. That’s why you see so much more Zelink fanart coming from japan. And, say what you want, but the Japanese version is the original and most canon version.
I think you mean "Say what you want... but if you say otherwise you're dead wrong." Japanese version IS DEFINITELY the most canon version, as the English translation gets so many things wrong... from the Zora sending notes down the river side quest, to Revali's _entire_ characterization, to straight up saying the _opposite_ of the intended meaning when Zelda says ganon gave up reincarnation to become beast ganon.
I have a weird like/dislike relationship with this ship, but despite this, my fav version has to be Skyward Sword and probably the best one. There didn't have to be some royal thing involved to prevent them from being together and the story didn't bound them separate like being sent back in time or some different destiny. Their friendship was already established and proven to be existent. In Twilight Princess, Link leaves Ordon, but I like to believe he became a knight and may come back to visit Ilia once in a while.
In TP I think Link just went off to travel the land and explore. There's some who say he went off to try to find another mirror of twilight or some other way to reopen a gate to the twilight realm to visit Midna similarly to how OoT link went off to search for his companion Navi after OoT ended.
Yes, he goes with Illia in the game, seeing how that's set up. On the other hand, in the manga, Midna is the perfect choice. The last entry in it comes out soon (v10). There's a lot of Midna and Link scenes there (- such as how Midna welcomes Link after she left). It's kind of the theme and Illia comes off as being in love with Link, waiting for him to return, yet he does and doesn't stay longer than an hour without a goodbye. Link's feelings go to Midna instead. He's more concerned about Midna in the long run than anyone else. And Midna acts as a tsundere and Link is sort of the desperate boy who ends up liking her. Okay I'll stop spoiling, just please read it.
Skyward Sword Link & Zelda, most certainly. The first hero and the goddess reborn ARE the progenitors of the Royal Family of Hyrule’s divine bloodline. Too bad there’s no sequel to build upon their life together after Skyward Sword. (Then again, it is unlikely that evil will return so soon after the double death of Demise.)
I just wanted to mention that although MalonxLink is very populair now because of Twilight Princess, Oot Zelink still holds it ground. MM Link thought about Zelda when he was in his final hour, before his death. He basically thought about his final goodbye to her and her teaching him the song of time again as a reminder of them. It confirms canon that they spend time together and for them to have a bond again. There's also the remake promo Oot manga from 2011 which was commissioned by Nintendo and is heavily Zelink. Speaking of the Oot manga it was Nintendo's first commission and Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma both expressed that the mangas fill up the gaps they couldn't with the games (like Link having a personality) and that Miyamoto personally thanked the mangakas for expanding the world of Zelda. Miyamoto also mentioned that the story of Oot (Link trying to search for Zelda) is a little bit romantic and if Zelda was Link's girlfriend, he would find it great. There can be hundreds of theories why Oot Link went with Malon but none of the creators ever mentioned her or gave Akira Himekawa the task to make Oot Zelink less romantic in the manga or in the remake manga. Malon also reappeared in the Oracles, TMC, Fourswords. But those games never imply any romance between her and Link either. Zelda on the other hand kissed Link in the Oracles and had a close bond with Link in TMC.
I agree with you. OOT Zelink has always been one of my favorites because of the subtlety and the story. That scene they have in the "sky" in the end has flat-out romantic undertones, I think that's undeniable. And if that weren't enough, the manga is pretty clear with the Zelink. My pet theory was always that they couldn't be together because of their difference in station and had a denied, tragic love because of it. But it always was weird to me that they made TP Link a direct descendant of OOT Link... the Link reincarnations pass through spirit, not blood.
@@cheetahinireland18 I agree! There's also the interview of Miyamoto mentioning he would find it great if Zelda was Link's girlfriend but that Navi is jealous of Zelda. He also mentioned the story of Oot is a little romantic (at the time it came out it was the most romantic Zelda game). People also forget Link hid to Ruto (his fiancee) that he was searching for Zelda. I know this one is farfetched but I think it's Bolson from Botw that mentions the falling petals represents endless love, which is seen in the ending with Botw Link & Zelda. I always took that as a nod to all their reincarnations before them since the game itself is very symbolic.
Apparently, the reason there are so many girls potentially interested in Link in Ocarina of Time is that, early in development, the game was going to have some minor dating sim elements, but the plot made it impossible.
@@cheetahinireland18 OOT Link was the Hero's Shade...he mentioned stuff....like something very well may have happened to Zelda that could continue into their tragic romance if that were the case in the timeline. Also the fact TP Link's the only Hylian in the village....what exactly happened that got him there? Was he sent there for protection. With TP Zelda being the heir to the throne. TP LInk's hair is also a different shade of blond...it reminds me of Zelda's....if it were Malon...I think it would a higher chance of red hair...of course it depends on how distantly TP Link is a descendant of OOT Link. Also TP Link and Zelda in some way feel more they have more similarities to them. Like they could be related. It's a theory. It's fun to think about.
Also Zelda gave Link a cheek kiss in the OOT manga in the child timeline. I also felt they were nearly about to kiss before they were interrupted in the adult timeline due to being in the Spirit Temple. OOT manga was so heavily Zelink it was painful and I loved it. You forgot to mention a side chapter where Malon seems to develop a crush on Link in the adult timeline....and wonders if Link is her prince charming....but Link shows no interest in her....as his heart is set on Zelda. Also TP manga does address how Link ended up on the ranch...he traveled there because of the twilight taken over his hometown...he wasn't born in the town...so how could he be related to Malon....and TP Link and Zelda look similar to me. TP Link is confirmed to be the direct descendant of OOT/MM Link. It may not mean anything but he has the same blond hair and blue eyes to me as TP Zelda. So perhaps they could be related. Who knows?
Skyward Sword Zelink is 100% cannon. They were the first incarnation and the ones who started the Hyrule Royal family together on the surface world (later called Hyrule aka land ruled by Hylia). They didn't hesitate to make it very obvious too. This is also the first time we see both characters be humanized rather than be the plot devices for the story arc.
Aw this video was so cute! I love focusing on the romantic possibilities, and not just the stories. Nice to think about the other probabilities after Links done saving things hehe.
Its funny, while its hasn't been consistent throughout each game (nor has the overarching story between all games) somehow I've always been a ZeLink shipper. Maybe it was because Link was always so loyal but he always seemed attentive to Zelda despite the obvious princess-guard connection. I'll die for this ship, honestly.
There are signs in BOTW that link also has feelings for Zelda. Like how he opens up to her, as documented in Zelda's diary. And the original Japanese Link diary logs, where he is more open about his feelings.
In the Japanese version of Breath of the Wild, the quest log is written as Link's personal journal. For the final quest to save Zelda, he finishes with "I want to see her smile again." So I think it's a pretty good chance he's in love with her.
@Sofia Benites hit the plus button and then the Rz/Lz buttons to cycle through menus until you get the one that lists active and complete quests. It'll show descriptions for each one, that even change based on progress or completion, and let you set one as active so that it appears on your map. The descriptions are what I was originally talking about.
Have you read the Japanese translations of the Adventure Log on the Sheikah Slate in BotW? They're written in first person rather than the detached third person we got in the English release of the game, meaning the Japanese Adventure Log is basically Link's journal. He speaks about Zelda several times along with his desire to save her (and see her smile again with his own eyes) and how he hopes that she's proud of his progress. It's all compiled in a Tumblr post if you Google it. I'd post a link to it but UA-cam doesn't allow that in comments so 🤷. But look it up! It's really interesting.
If you translate the Japanese text for the adventure log in Breath of the Wild (which happens to be written in first person; Link’s point of view), specifically “Captured Memories” [Spoiler Alert] Link writes down that he wants to save Zelda as soon as possible so he could see her smile again with his own eyes. In the true ending, Zelda gives him the smile he always wanted to see. Also, did you see the silent princess petals blowing in the wind? Bolson says that petals blowing in the wind represent endless love; for Hudson and Rhondson’s wedding, we see pink petals doing the same thing.
It was never written in first person that's purely fanon, every language except for Russian writes the journal in second person. Hell there is only 2 entries with jibun where you could say link is talking, and even then it's a stretch as Jibun can mean a couple of different things.
Even if ZeLink becomes canon in BotW 2, which is unlikely knowing Nintendo's romantic boundaries, my favorite will ALWAYS be Skyward Sword. You are so much determination, desperation, and worry in Link as he travels trying to find Zelda. Not to mention the RAGE in his eyes when Ghirahim finally captures hey right at the end. I'll also partial to LinkxIlia for Twilight Princess. He and Zelda only know each other for like...an hour tops?
TOTK hints that Zelda and Link moved in together. If you go to Link's house in Hateno village, Zelda's journal is there. There is also a hidden room in the well behind the house that has Zelda's diary (which says she made Link a gift and hid it in the throne room for him) and Link's hairband from BOTW.
Actually if you collect all of the 13 pictures and regain your lost memories in BOTW the end shows Zelda and Link on the mountain and the camera zooms out showing the Silent Princesses are letting go of their pedals which indicates Zelda’s and Link’s internal love
I think the best ZeLink is botw because Zelda builds up a relationship with Link and cried when he was killed. And in one memory, it looks like she is stroking his hair. It is definitely breath of the wild.
The only thing that i hate about English translation of BOTW is that how they changed Link's journal into third person instead of using his and it totally ruined the experience. I hope they won't make the same mistake in BOTW sequel.
I've always felt like the Link/Zelda relationship transcended romance. Whether they end up as friends, rivals, subject and master, lovers, or some combination of those, they're always drawn to each other in every incarnation. They're soul-mates even when they're not lovers. Romantic love is not love's highest form; it's just one facet of love. I think letting them experience lots of different kinds of relationships with each other gives their connection a depth and richness that isn't possible in one lifetime. It's bigger than romance, friendship, devotion, loyalty, and respect; it encompasses and incorporates all of those in a way that one romance (even one spanning lifetimes) couldn't compare to. I'm very much a romantic, myself, but I'm happy to never have a romance be made explicit between them because it's not necessary. Romance tends to be thought of as the main focus when it's made explicit, but when it's only implied then it's clearly just a piece of a much more wholesome relationship. The rest of the relationship is at LEAST as important as the romance, and arguably much more important.
BotW Zelink is definitely my favorite for numerous reasons. And I can't imagine that Link didn't fall in love with Zelda considering the subtle hints to it that other UA-camrs have pointed out. Besides, she's absolutely beautiful and we all know how that would affect a man like Link. I hope and think that their relationship will develop further in the sequel, but not fully in-game because Nintendo loves to tease us with this topic. I'm certain that Link and Zelda will eventually build a true relationship, but we will probably never see it at its climax. That will happen after the BotW storyline.
One thing to keep in mind is that BOTW actually has a timeline split that affects Zelink. In one branch Link gets all his memories back and thus loves Zelda and joins her in her quest of rebuilding Hyrule (which then sets things up for BOTW 2). In the other branch, Link did not bother to get all his memories and just saved Zelda and Hyrule because he felt the duty to do so after the king tells him what happened (this would be what happens if you take the straight to Ganon approach or if you just never do the memories quest). Thus, after he saves her he has no recollection of her existence and she is like a stranger to him. As a result, he does not recall the love he felt for her. You could say that he later on he might get his memories back and love her again but that is not guaranteed.
If you read Zelda's Diary and listen to Kass's final song, you learn that Zelda had love for Link. In the Japanese version of the game, quests were displayed in first person rather than second person. In the quest "captured memories" after collecting all the memories, Link writes an entry stating the he wants to see Zelda smile again. Zelink BOTW is the most cannon because of this.
Plus... in one of the memories Mipha tries to explain to Zelda how she uses her power, saying that "it helps to think about..." then she hesitates, looking directly at Link. Implying she was going to say "it helps to think about the one I love" or something along those lines (she never gets to finish the sentence though, as Calamity Ganon returns right at that moment). Zelda later only awakens her power trying to save Link from Guardians, and in Age of Calamity (which is an alternate timeline but still canon I think) Zelda awakens her power like before, by trying to save and protect Link from harm.
in BOTW it's stated that Link doesn't show emotions because he wants to focus on fighting and defending Zelda, but there are hints that he does love Zelda. Either that or he is just doing his duty in order to fulfill his duties as her knight. Nintendo needs to stop playing with us Zelink fans and just give us what we want. Link kissing Zelda. XD
Skyward sword makes sense because that was the first incarnation. Botw/totk is pretty much confirmed now since they live together, diary entries, and the cutscenes
Good news, TotK confirms Link and Zelda lived together at his house. Doesn't necessarily mean anything romantic, but the vibes are strong. I think Nintendo is wise to keep fans guessing, IMO. We can fill in the blanks ourselves and have fun with it.
@@meisrerboot I know it's an old comment, but you're totally right She's a princess, she can surely get everything done, why choose to share a bed instead of building a new one in that case? surely she preferred sharing
Hey so Totk is finally out and going to links house now there is Zelda’s diary on the desk and only one bed😏. It’s possible link gave his house to Zelda and he lives somewhere else but my personal head canon is that they live together in Hatano.
For skyward sword, for the majority of the game up until the end of it, it was obvious that the two REALLY loved each other very much especially when Zelda outright jump off the ledge and into Links arms after he wins flight championship thing
I believe in Hyrule Historia it's confirmed that Skyward Sword Zelink are the origin of the Hylian royal family, so there really isn't any speculation for that one. 😊
And I feel Breath of the Wild Zelink is restarting the Hylian Royal Family once again eventually. As Zelda only has eyes for him. The Great Deku Tree had stopped her from basically her love confession message. This for sure is leading to Zelda telling Link her feelings for him. Maybe offscreen or in the sequel. The Japanese verison makes romantic undertones that were removed from the English verison that Link appeared to return her feelings. Also the true ending of the game has Link and Zelda surrounded by petals like at Hudson's wedding. Showing the endless love the two will share.
Once I saw a video where someone got an interesting point: when Hudson marries Rhondson, there’s a shower of petals, meaning the marriage. And at the end of the game, qhen Zelda tells Link they will rebuild Hyrule, it starts raining the same petals. Maybe they engage? I hope so.
Ima extend on botw link with tears of the kingdom now that its out **SPOILER WARNING** If you go to links house in Hateno Village then there is proof that Zelda has been living there with Link because of her diary in the well that is near Link’s house, how long its been since Zelda moved in is not 100% clear but we’ll say that they have been living there for 3 years due to the characters link used to know’s dialogue (yunobo, riju, sidon, teba, etc…) This is possibly the new most canon Zelink relationship as of now in my opinion as they were only depicted as friends in skyward sword.
TotK spoilers bellow: Zelink is canon. TOTK Link and Zelda live together and share a small bed, Zelda often makes sweet remarks about him, “awwws” when someone talk about him, deeply cares for him, the way she fought from the past from him and even waited over 1000 of years for him as a dragon which reforged the master sword and saved him many times and even fought alongside link against Ganondorf, and even her voice actress said that they are a couple. In the other hand, even if Link cannot speak, we can see that he truly cares for her from all their dragon tears memories, his dedication to save her and bring her back as her human self, the way he jumps from the sky to shield her with his own body from the fall impact, the way he bridal carries her just to knee before her while they both look at each other in the end like a couple in love … seems like he was even going to propose.
Though it's the manga which has some aspects but different from the game for Ocarina of Time. Some implications from the games are there. It's more an alternate counterpart for OOT. It's fun to read. OOT Manga Link shows implied feelings for Zelda...to the point that other characters comment on it. Such as a side chapter has Malon show romantic feelings for Link...and wondering if he's her 'prince' only for Link to start talking Zelda. That Malon to brush off any sort of feelings she has for him. In fact, a lot of motivation is he wants to find her after seven years....it's so sweet. I am a Zelink shipper so I can't help it. It's more like an alternate timeline to OOT to me. As there's a lot of Zelink on OOT Manga...right from Zelda disguising herself and meeting Link at the market when their children...showing her more tomboyish personality (like it's hinted at)....and Link (being he speaks in the manga)...shows a liking to her from the moment they met...and surprised to learn later on she was the princess. Even in Majora's Mask...the one scene with Zelda is a memory to relearn the Song of Time...he ends up in a daze when thinking about her... The manga does give more information in which would make more sense if you want to count it. Like Ganondorf ends up trying to grab the Ocarina of Time from Link when Zelda gives it to him...and the reason the Fairy Ocarina disappears because he ended up taken it instead so he crush it in frustration when he realized it was the wrong one. The one thing that bothered me in the Manga was that Shadow Temple was completely skipped over. And even Link find Navi to be annoying like we fans do in the manga adaptation...LOL.
Skyward sword is for me although I would love to see a Zelink moment in Botw 2. Even if its a bonus scene! Or maybe in the trailer we got they were already together? Because Link has heard the song from Kass? Ok but a quick thing! In note Take a close look at the very beginning of the memory you find near death mountain,... Zeldas hand is on Links face while the cuts are on his arm!! So why was her hand on his face??? And Link didnt mind at all....
In botw, if you get all the memories then complete the game, it will give you a extra cutscene after which soon says along the lines of repopulate with each other
honestly even as someone who usually ships zelink in twilight princess i always assumed he started of with a crush on ilia but grew to love midna during their adventure, and interpreted the end as bittersweet because its ilia watching as link leaves his life in the village behind.
You said that Link and Tetra are in the top three for most developed their relationship has been depicted but if you have played spirit tracks you'd know that game's version of Link and Zelda blow Tetra and Link out of the water. It's easily in the top three for the closest they've ever been. It's pretty overt.
I see some relationship in spirit tracks too. That game is completely underrated. • After the battle with Staven (or Byrne), Zelda tells Link that as long as they both work together, there’s nothing they can’t do. They both proceed to stare into each other’s eyes with a huge grin, and a romanticised version of Zelda’s lullaby. • When Zelda reclaims her body, Link catches her when she falls from the air. Zelda pulled Link into a very tight hug. • At the end of the game, Link and Zelda can be seen holding hands with each other. • Throughout the entire game, Zelda seems to really favour him. She’s constantly enthusiastic about his little achievements and will go to great lengths to help him. Spirit tracks is probably my favourite legend of Zelda game that I believe has a canon relationship between Link and Zelda.
After Tears of The Kingdom I think it's safe to say alluding to it is the best were EVER gonna get from Nintendo on this. (I haven't played it yet but apparently you can sleep in Zelda's bed and noone else's, interpret that as you will.)
I think most canon is botw because in the memory when zelda was going to return the master sword she said to the deku tree. "Tell him that I...". Then the deku tree cuts her off. It is not proven of what she going to say,but I think that she was going to say that she loves him. Also right before the calamity Mipha was going to say "When I think about..."then the calamity starts she was going to say when she thinks about link. You know what happens in the memory Zeldas Awakening when link is about to die her powers are revealed, proba ly because when Mipha thinks about link when healing it helps her and I am guessing the same happens with zelda
Hey lovelies! What is your fav Zelink? The art in this thumbnail I used in an old video a couple years ago. Jumping Crowd gave me permission for using it back then, thought it worked well for this idea too. Here’s their page on Zelda Amino!

Hey Its Preston, Great video keep up the great work
Edible Incredible hey um the ending of twilight princess suggest that he fell in love with Zelda and just stayed friends with ilia.
@Edible Incredible Botw is best Zelink. Botw 2 will hopefully expand on it
BOTW and Skyward Sword
skyward
The Japanese actually makes it more clear on Link’s feelings for Zelda. His diary entries specifically state how Link wants to see Zelda smile again and thinks she beautiful and he even mentions that he “accepts” Zelda’s feelings when he discovered she loves him. So I’d say that Botw Zelink is canon.
Yeah, same in Russian translation. Its a pity so few people know about this. Even those who play in the right language rarely read diary entries.
HOW?? WHERE?? TELL MEE!!

In Skyward Sword Link literally wins a romantic night with Zelda when he wins the race.
My parents at 22: let's buy a house
Me at 22: aw Zelda and Link so cute
True Lion of Hylia I read the whole entire thing, I like all the detail you put into your paragraph. Thanks
The secret ending is simply epic

i agree! was gonna comment that too lol

It has to be canon!
It should be Canon
They're making a second one?!
@@warrioroflight6872 I'm fine with that as long as they dont drop it completely.
I’ll be fine just with some cute moments between them every now and then, like it has been in most games
They clearly put effort in to them having a believable relationship (Romanic or not) and I feel like they left too many hints for it just to be ship baiting
1. Paya's journal entry "I wonder If Master Link is in love with Princess Zelda"
2. Kass's song in the DLC "She only had eyes for her own appointed knight"
3. Secret ending with the petal's falling, representing eternal love
4. Zelda only awakens her power when she saves Link
5. (This is AOC, but it's in the same Generation of botw, just a alternate universe, so I feel like it counts) Link reaches out to zelda when the malice created champions try to kill her, then later a version of Zelda awakening her power happens again, once again, to save Link
6. the name of the rare flower that representing eternal love: Silent princess.
and I'm sure they're more, but these were just off the top of my head. Why go through all this effort just to drop the ship that literally every Zelda fan wants to see happen? I don't think so.
Skyward Sword Zelink is definitely canon. This is the first time when Zelda shows up and "Zelda's Lullaby" was replaced with a song title "Romance".
@Sofia Benites The former definitely appears, but in different spots.
Two things to add for botw zelink
1: after completing all of kass’s songs, if you return to rito village and talk to him, he will tell you about how his teacher was in love with Zelda but then how his teacher got jealous because “the princess only had eyes for her escort, her own knight attendant”
2: after you complete the “from the ground up” side quest, if you go back to hateno village and talk to bolson, he will tell you that the infinite falling petals thrown at the end of the wedding represent endless love. Then later in the secret ending of the game you see link and Zelda standing with eachother while falling petals of the flower are in the air, which are said the represent endless love
Was about to comment on this!

Oooohhhhh I forgot about the petals...
POGGGGG
Link and Zelda will always love each other, whether it is in a relationship or not. It is destiny that keeps pulling them back together, and that love will blossom for the better of Hyrule.
Better said than anyone else!
Doesn’t Link confirm his feelings for Zelda in his journals in botw? It’s more clear in the Japanese version, I think
he said something about wanting to see her smile again which ends up happening in the true ending. like... i get that they wanted to keep Link a blank slate for whatever reason, but it's so annoying to find out that NoA is cutting little things like these when in the OG HQ they don't care. really hoping if they go the "adventure log" route again they scrape the whole third person thing.

You forgot to mention how Zelda always smiles at link and he smiles back in skyward sword, and the fact that right before getting sucked into the black tornado, she says that there's something she wants to tell him (which is usually before either admitting a mistake or confessing), which by her expression and voice clip is the latter.

yeah, spirit tracks deserves recognition! Literally has one of the best versions of Zelda and Zelink!
Link and Zelda's dynamic is easily my favourite part of Spirit Tracks. Not only is Zelda the most useful companion Link has ever had in gameplay, but the two of them are just adorable.
You even play as Zelda, how cool is that
Aw I quite enjoyed this!
Link's "journal" in the Japanese version is the quest log which is written in 1st person in that version and not 2nd person like in english
After Miyamoto has no say and Aonuma relinquishes so much control over the series, Fujibayashi will seal the deal and make them a couple. He's the one that's the Zelink shipper at Nintendo and thank goodness he's getting more and more influence of the series as director.
What about spirit tracks. They hold hands together in the end
Zachary Erickson oh yeah i remember now!
Oooooo how cute
@Zachary Erickson And they hold hands.
And then he sees her for the first time he reacts like he just saw the most beautiful person in existence 😳🥺
@Sofia Benites EXACTLY
Skyward Sword is fairly obvious but Breath of the Wild HEAVILY implies it
No matter which game Zelink is canon in, I still think they would make a great couple regardless, otp let's goooooo ☺️🤩
OTP!!!!
OTP! OTP! The best canon ship in the game!
Yeah, regardless of ZeLink being canon in every game or not, I will still always ship just them and them alone
The last? What gives you that idea?
Hahahah... no my friend, this is definitely NOT the last Zelda game. Nintendo would never be willing to give up such a huge fan favorite money maker.
Don't be dumb. Nintendo can't give up the cash grab. There will be another 1293489123 Zelda games
There's a memory in botw under a tree, next to a korok seed. The memory itself is not anything very romantic, but the korok I mentioned was holding a branch of mistletoe when I found him.
that "and dont include Sidon" whisper at the end made my day
same lmao
Fun fact if this happens in botw 2 then we might actually hear link speak to her
I think it will most likely be a silent cutscene on his part where they kiss or something. If there's any dialog coming from him it will most likely come as a text option for you to choose like all other dialog that comes from Link in the game.
If that happens, I'd freaking scream.
@@diyarts9378 yeah but he CAN speak so he could do that if he wanted to
@@coaldrivr I know he can speak; I'm only saying it would be strange but cool to hear someone voice act for him.
@@audodd8954 I'm not sure about it
Well you gotta remember that when u get the ending with all the memories in botw it ends with a bunch of petals flowing in the air, and in the sane game an npc says that never ending petals or something like that means eternal love.
I've noticed loads of small details about link and zeldas relationship. They genuningly care about eachother, it's so sweet 😂💕
“In a majority of games, it’s not a thing”
Zelda 2: They hugged. I know it’s not much but keep in mind it’s the 1980s
Oracle games: Zelda kisses Link on the cheek at the end of the game
Minish Cap: Link and Zelda are very good friends that have something more underneath.
Beetle even teases link about it once you are able to buy bombs from him
Phantom Hourglass: Since it’s the same link and tetra from wind waker, the feelings are still the same.
Hell even in Hyrule Warriors when the two first lock eyes while Link is doing Knight training, there is chemistry
I’m still trying to remember anything from Four Swords, ALTTP, and ALBW
(If you guys know any more feel free to comment)
In conclusion: THERE IS SOME DAMN CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THESE TWO
and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
My favorite comment.
I thought Marin was Zelda too lol
In Four Swords, the manga, they're really good friends like in the Minish Cap. And in the ending, they walk off together, plus, all four of the Links are extremely determined to save Zelda. Even Shadow Link is swayed to help Vio, Red, Blue, and Green by Zelda's advice.
I really like the mangas, because of the story and how it supports the romance. Thanks Himekawa Sensi
i dont think they only just hugged, the curtains would be useless
@@fromraiun Too bad the manga isn't canon... its an artistic interpretation -but Nintendo licenses them soooo...-
Also, the relationship between Link and Zelda in Twilight Princess is a lot more professional than in other Zelda games.
Facts. It’s a shame we didn’t get to see that in the English version.. maybe they’re saving a “romantic moment reveal” for Link in BotW 2
I think you mean "Say what you want... but if you say otherwise you're dead wrong."
Japanese version IS DEFINITELY the most canon version, as the English translation gets so many things wrong... from the Zora sending notes down the river side quest, to Revali's _entire_ characterization, to straight up saying the _opposite_ of the intended meaning when Zelda says ganon gave up reincarnation to become beast ganon.
Shout out to the minish cap for being the other zelda game where link and zelda have a pre-established friendship
Don't forget Four Swords Adventures
They clearly went on a date in the beginning of minish cap
Skyward Sword Link & Zelda, most certainly. The first hero and the goddess reborn ARE the progenitors of the Royal Family of Hyrule’s divine bloodline. Too bad there’s no sequel to build upon their life together after Skyward Sword. (Then again, it is unlikely that evil will return so soon after the double death of Demise.)
Zelda: “Do you really remember me?”
Link: *”NO”*
“5:20: at least they hug later on, I guess..”
-show how Zelda litterally falls on her
I just wanted to mention that although MalonxLink is very populair now because of Twilight Princess, Oot Zelink still holds it ground.
That scene they have in the "sky" in the end
has flat-out romantic undertones, I think that's undeniable.
I think we could possibly hear Links voice for the first time in BOTW 2.
I can feel it.
What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be at the spirit world
Thunderblight Ganon
I am. Internet isn’t great.
Did you ever get to meet Zuko again?
Incorrect
5:48 More like starting the royal line cause they are the ones who founded Hyrule to begin with.
Technically the only kiss between Zelda and link in cannon is in The Adventure Of Link
Linked ending of the Oracle games says hi.
@Sofia Benites Still a kiss, and it made Link swoon.
Personally I'm dead inside and I ship all Zelink relationships to an extent. Mostly Skyward Sword and BotW but like,, idk it just makes sense for me
Even if ZeLink becomes canon in BotW 2, which is unlikely knowing Nintendo's romantic boundaries, my favorite will ALWAYS be Skyward Sword.
I just want to see my man Link be happy. After all the shit my man’s been through, he deserves to get some.
I think the best ZeLink is botw because Zelda builds
up a relationship with Link and cried when he was killed.
And in one memory, it looks like she is stroking his hair.
It is definitely breath of the wild.
This man has the softest voice so its really nice listening to this at night ....... makes me sleepy
Haha! Thanks for the kind words
Zelink is my fav ship in botw and skyward sword but in twilight princess I ship link x midna
6:34 quite literally a shoulder to cry on. Lol 😂
Who is here in 2023 after Zelda moved in with link in totk
“Ms. Zelda” is probably my favorite part of Tears
If you read the Japanese BOTW journal entries, ZELINK is confirmed in BOTW
My favorite Zelink is botw bc it actually shows that Zelda has feelings for Link and not just having love songs in the backround.
Zelda later only awakens her power trying to save Link from Guardians, and in Age of Calamity (which is an alternate timeline but still canon I think) Zelda awakens her power like before, by trying to save and protect Link from harm.
in totk Zelda moved in with link, the house you buy in botw, and they only have one bed. Zelda also stores Link's hairband in her study
in BOTW it's stated that Link doesn't show emotions because he wants to focus on fighting and defending Zelda, but there are hints that he does love Zelda.
Even though it's the least canon, I ship TP Zelink. Probably because those two were in smash brawl and smash 4, and I shipped them then
I'd argue the most cannon Zelink is the Hero of Hyrule from Zelda 1 & 2 since they have an implied kiss behind the curtain at the end of Zelda 2
Zelda: Do you, really remember me?
Link: *smooth brain*
Can we talk about how incredeble the use of music in this video is?
Ah man, that means a lot!! That’s a stage of making a video that I really love/take seriously 🥹
Good news, TotK confirms Link and Zelda lived together at his house. Doesn't necessarily mean anything romantic, but the vibes are strong.
I think Nintendo is wise to keep fans guessing, IMO. We can fill in the blanks ourselves and have fun with it.
Then again, they share a bed. Not definitive proof, but it is kinda weird to share a bed with someone like that in a platonic way
@@meisrerboot I know it's an old comment, but you're totally right
She's a princess, she can surely get everything done, why choose to share a bed instead of building a new one in that case? surely she preferred sharing
Zelda definitely loves link but just can never show it. They truly belong together
Hey so Totk is finally out and going to links house now there is Zelda’s diary on the desk and only one bed😏. It’s possible link gave his house to Zelda and he lives somewhere else but my personal head canon is that they live together in Hatano.
TOTK basically confirms they live together
They hold hands in spirit tracks at the end
And three years later
TOTK spoilers: TOTK confirms that Zelda has feelings for Link :)
And it does in Botw to but Yk obviously
In botw true ending Zelda and link are on a hill with pedals falling which represents endless love
@Sofia Benites yeah
I hope so.
"In TOTK" oh wait, LINK AND ZELDA LIVE TOGETHER????
I love the way this dude just explained each game of zelda's and link's realationship
Ima extend on botw link with tears of the kingdom now that its out
**SPOILER WARNING**
If you go to links house in Hateno Village then there is proof that Zelda has been living there with Link because of her diary in the well that is near Link’s house, how long its been since Zelda moved in is not 100% clear but we’ll say that they have been living there for 3 years due to the characters link used to know’s dialogue (yunobo, riju, sidon, teba, etc…) This is possibly the new most canon Zelink relationship as of now in my opinion as they were only depicted as friends in skyward sword.
i have no problems in saying that i wish there were more videos like this so i can feel validated. (great video btw!!!)
If I understood well, she waited as a dragon more like 10 000 years, that makes it even more touching (correct me if I'm wrong)
In botw, if you get all the memories then complete the game, it will give you a extra cutscene after which soon says along the lines of repopulate with each other
YAY, a vidéo! Was playing smash in a important battle for a spirit I realy wan't but the video notif...😃
honestly even as someone who usually ships zelink in twilight princess i always assumed he started of with a crush on ilia but grew to love midna during their adventure, and interpreted the end as bittersweet because its ilia watching as link leaves his life in the village behind.
