Im not sure if you know but; if you use the middle mouse button "quick menu" and first select rerail and then right after that the logging tool in the same quick menu you can fly while logging. Same also works for the demolish tool. This only works with the quick access menu, the normal G menu worked in the past but has been "fixed"
I'm actually loving the new free mode when placing track. It follows the ground and leads to rolling track like a real RR.

I would like to stop day and night cycle while laying track. It’s so annoying to try and lay track in the dark.
To stop the day night cycle, go to the options and set the day duration to inf
yup i went back to pine valley also .a layout that i have had for awhile and i had to detree some of my rail lines thay were over grown with trees lol
