this is exactly the types of VR experiences I look for. I like exploring virtual worlds, more so than solving puzzles or fighting off mega bosses. Of to check out the demo!
played the Demo back in Early April the scenery, sounds and effects especially the water are amazing, so hyped for tis game 28th June cant come quick enough now
Because of the epidemic, most people have not traveled far for a long time. Through this game, I have re-experienced the fun of travel, and this perspective is very similar to the flying horizon of Disneyland, which is very good.
This game continues to amaze me. Even if it's just for relaxing kayak experience in VR. I totally am ready for this. I got to play the early access level last year and was blown away by the details and immersion. Excited for the launch, hopefully soon.

Can somebody explain how VR works? I am completely confused about getting into VR. So there are the devices. But my question is that I have no idea about application options and possibilities for use online. Games, social/VW, etc. As far as I understand, there's VR options available from Valve and Facebook. But what about other options? Thank you.

Side loading was a pain in my ass for me especially since I’m on a chrome book so I had to do a whole bunch of command prompt stuff to even open side quest 😂 so worth it tho pavlov is the coolest game I’ve ever played for sure. Play it every day lol and it’s free 😁

As someone relatively new to vr who owns a quest 2 and has games both native to it and air links my steam games too it ive noticed the 2 biggest things people actually care about for VR. 1. Immersion 2. Fun. I have yet to meet one person who truly wants more "realistic graphics" if I wanted realistic looking I wouldn't be playing videogames to begin with.
Yup, you're definitely new to VR then. Because there are a ton of people who would like more realistic VR graphics. I own a Quest 2 and still only buy my games through Steam for that very reason.
Something I think would be cool, is if you had a heart rate monitor on the corner while you play these games, You can tell some of these scenes like the storm could freak some people out
You don't need a 3090 to get these visuals, I get risk performance on a 3080 with so much more head room for better graphics. Also have 32Gb 3600 DDR4 and 12 cores/24 threads.! I've seen much better graphics on regular games.
This looks like an amazing experience! Also, I guess it'll be nice to have this as a reference material for my grandkids to see after we've ruined the ice caps in a couple more deccades time.

I just tried the demo and I am quite surprised how well it looks with just a 2070 Super Laptop and my Oculus Quest 2, wow!

Darn, I wish this was on Quest. I have absolutely no luck with side loading or using the wifi. My internet blows chunks...
There is something similar called Phantom: Covert Ops. Graphics obviously wont be as good though.

Meta is releasing a dongle to pair your quest with your PC so your wifi shouldn't be a bottleneck soon
just plug your quest in to the PC and you can play it too!
