Excellent review Greg of what looks like the MUST-HAVE vehicle for 2024. I really appreciate you taking the time to take vehicles apart, especially the Optic so we could see how the cage comes off. Keep up the great work!
Yours is the most complete first look I've seen about this cool new buggy. I appreciate that you took the time to pull the frame off the lower chassis so we can see all the bits on the inside and how we can go about maintaining/upgrading the Optic. Many thanks!
Actually the top of the large rock face you see in some shots is where I wanted to go. But some kids trashed that area. So I made the best of this spot.
Some sand paddles, lowered, new power plant, sway bars, and boom beast hill climber. I got one ordered but not sure what direction I’m going with it yet. Sorta limited going too fast offroad if you speed it up much more with no open diff options. I’ll enjoy it either way.
Some of the comments on these review videos are strange. yes $500 is expensive, but for all the engineering and forethought built into this for adding Dig, 4 wheel steer, and winches and whatever else you want to do, That's the price you pay in RC nowadays. Hell, there is a discontinued Bomber at my local hobby shop that's open box, been sitting there for months, and they still have it marked at $545. Will I ever own one... Probably not, but Do I want one, Heck yes. maybe one day if I find some extra scratch, but this seems like a solid offering... On to the next review vid to "dream" some more...then I guess I better get back to work so I can make some money.
Wow! Very unique buggy. You always do such a professional job and deliver so much great content and information. I really should watch your channel more. Thanks for sharing this super cool RC.
I love my capra 1.9. Its dialed im for axialfest ever year. Lets see vanquish non-c-channel frame. Im anxious to grab this new rig . Own 4 vanquish rigs no complaints here . Go vanquish!!!
Overall, a nice-looking buggy that will surely give Vanquish a lot of new customers. Perhaps would have been nice to have a bit more speed although I appreciate that it is designed primarily as a crawler. My only other reservation is the clip and pin that hold the panel in place to access the battery. It looks a little bit fiddly with the clip and it will be interesting to see how it works when it is dusty and dirty as pins like this tend to grind and lock with just a few grains of sand. I had a similar arrangement on a buggy a long time ago and when it got dusty, the pin always jammed in place.
Thanks!! Yeah, Back in the 80’s I remember my Dad getting me a Yokomo buggy kit for $600. No electronics. RC isn’t cheap. You can find ways to do it cheap. But people expecting it applies to everything because it’s just their hobby isn’t realistic.
Sorry Greg, that’s a nice RC… but I really need your help. I don’t know why but I bought a TP 4070 CM motor and it’s 2900kv on 6s… I can’t find an esc brother… do you know of an esc or some way to pull it off?
hehe, I had to chuckle when you said, "watch this buggy rip up the hill" LOL I watched, no ripping occured. I love some crawlers myself but that sucker is a great crawler it has zero speed.
This is why I wish more rollers were available. I have an SCX10.3 with a castle sensored 2850kv and ESC. Super smooth crawling and top speed of 15mph in high gear which is way more than most RTR crawlers and makes it fast enough for fun trail running. I can even run 4S for closer to 20mph but the truck doesn't handle well at that speed.
So we're just gonna ignore the fact that the capra for only $50 extra has portal axles, 4ws, transmission with dig option already installed, a full set of lights, and some pretty nice scale details and to add to this list heaps of aftermarket support. Yeah, imma still say that $500 for something like this is ridiculous.
Nice review but coil overs, linked suspension, brushed power, single speed, no dig or lockable diffs, loads of plastic -- looks like a ordinary "made in China" RTR. Nothing here justifies the cost. Vanquish is the most overrated brand in RC. It's your money, waste it any way you wish.
Guess u never owned a quilty RC and looked at market today always find it funny when people hate on something that most don't even now about pricey yeah but own 40 cars of all manufacturers and cost more but also don't have future thing unless aftermarket make something for it and having now owned one vanquish vehicle it's took the most abuse and still going and saved to buy with saving can on side so funny when people complain about things
@@shaynejenkins446 Fair enough but this is why I rarely buy RTR'S. I "build" mostly to weed out deficiencies and have used some Vanquish parts but I can beat that price and have a superior rig. If you can't, and are satisfied with what you get RTR, then more power to you.
It looks a bit complicated, I think the RC4WD option is better, I think Vanquish deviates a bit from its other models, to try to rival the models in this segment but I think it didn't hit the nail on the head.
If u owned a rc4wd u might think different and it's don't take long break every friend I have that bought one has sold it because of braking yeah it might look cooler but after owning never own one again plus having 40 + cars yeah there more expensive but it outlast all the other manufacturers I've own for things breaking
I own the rc4wd buggy and I'm a bug fan of both rc4wd and vanquish and the rc4wd buggy is a hunk of garbage broke every time it was brought out on trail runs all on dirt and gravel so now it's a shelf queen looks great but performs like a pig
@@just-in-time6069 I own the RC4WD MMRR and Vanquish vehicles and have not had the issues your buddies have had. Plus, I can fix all my rigs to my liking.

Keep up great work and funny how people judge because of price lack of today's market and the r and d that this has is awesome and sure wasn't cheap

Nice review 👌
Two videos in two hours!!
I’ve been busy. 😄
Is it cool? Yes.
Do I want one? Also yes.
Keen to see how this Vanquish Capra compares to the Axial Capra
Innovation? The bomber still king.
My bomber rocks but i still need this
Ive been wanting a 4WS capra for some time now but keep buying everything beside it. I wonder if this buggy can scratch the capra itch.
Oh heck yeah
Id like the ram steering set up for my LMT
i want to make all the panels in metal. i bet send cut send can do it pretty slick
Must have! 😮🤤 Love it!
Pretty slick right?!
Awesome ❤

I'd like a kit version so I don't have to spend another $100 replacing the electronics. That reminds me.. .I haven't finished my VRD Carbon.
$100 for electronics? For just the servo replacement maybe lol. I’m betting it’s gonna be awhile if they even do release a kit at all.

How much voltage does that motor withstand?
3s
I forgot to ask you are you going to post your giveaway on the channel?
1/24 axial, h10 vanquish, hmmmm what's the 3rd one gonna be 🤔
Looks awesome! Definitely tempted 🤘 this would be a great rig for U4 perhaps. Do you have any rock racing near you?
Unfortunately no rock racing around me. 😕
I do prefer the capra 🤷🏼♂️
This Vanquish Capra or the Axial Capra? Haha
😅 👌🏼

I wasnt sure about it by the first look at it, but after your video its pretty cool....Great video!!!! cost? 🤔
$500

IT IS NOT A CRAWLER...damned!!😖
They need to figure out how to lower prices, there is no way this thing is worth $500
