I just saw a post that said you can refill these with a regular butane lighter canister. They showed a video. I've always saved mine and here I could be refilling all this time.
My wife and I used one of these for backpacking for 20 odd years, until we could not get the canisters anymore here in the US. We still use the pot though. A small iso canister fits perfectly inside, and still room for our mini Snowpeak stove. I kept the Rando stove just because I love the design. Trying to find a way to refill the empty CV360 canisters. Thanks for posting this.
supposedly the cv360 cartridges being produced today do contain an 80/20 butane/propane mix, as do the c206 piercable cartridges for the old bluet stoves which are also still being produced. interesting that the cv360 has a different valve than the other cv 270/300/470 cartridges, i had assumed they were all the same.
Hi sorry these stoves stopped being made way back in the late 80s i believe and the gas can size is now only used for soldering irons. I brought this at a car boot as i use to own one in the early 90s! From time to time the turn up on ebay but are very rare to find
Was looking at one of these but I’m glad I watched this video as the performance seems poor. I great design and a nice stove for a collector, it reminds me of the SOTO ST 310 which uses the ubiquitous A4 gas cartridge.

I see you have both hands in use. Well done.
I'm still cocking on it while mountaineering 😊
Usel to have one in the early 90s. Worked fine, one canister used to last 30 minutes or so ;)
Have you tried refilling them, I do it

Hi @leicesterdrones I've just dug my old one out. Forgot I had it and now have alternatives. Would you like to buy mine?

The gas is used in a French fire lighter and is available in most large supermarkets
