It is such a blast to drive, but the fun part is making them even better. Don't like the brakes? upgrade them? Better tires, better shocks, better seats, It's so analog. I have a 2015 (bought new in 2014) that has an LS3, 4 wheel kit, big brakes, adjustable dampers, etc. Will never get rid of it because of the experience it brings. Not for everyone for sure, but dont knock it til you try it - it's about the experience which you will find nowwhere else in a street legal road car.
I bought my 2023R new in April 2024. I started accessorizing just like I've done on all of my motorcycles. Good thing you got the manual as they are so much more fun. I wouldn't have bought the Auto but I did test-drive a couple of them. I put a top on it, Klockwerks windshield, the an even taller windshield for cooler weather and a bunch of other accessories. My wife had stopped riding with me on motorcycles and this gives us something we can ride together. She loves it and it really is a blast. Funny, I get a lot of waves from motorcycles, which always takes me by surprise as I never look to wave at them, but of course will wave back. You're right about people talking to you. I cannot stop for fuel without someone asking questions. Some people love them, some people hate them, some people don't just get it and say some asinine comment like "why didn't you get a Miata?". Because #1, I wanted one vs a Miata and #2, I've owned a Miata. This is quicker and so much more fun to drive. This is one of the better reviews I've seen from someone who get's it.
The top speed is actually around 130 and cant hit anywhere near 220 but Polaris does that on their rangers also so i think its just a fun thing that Polaris does
Love my 2024. people complain that its not a motorcycle but I've had my bikes. Loved my last R1 but it sucks the life out of you with the wife on back. I can have fun now with the SS with the wife and without all of the safety gear. who wears a helmet in these things? Nah F-that that's the whole point throw a ball cap on and some shades, shorts and flip flops. These are for people who are bored of convertibles and don't want another bike. Super fun machine. I went with the SL with the R tune and options because god damn do the 2024R colors suck. Wasted some money but what boring colors they have in the 2024 line up. Hopefully they fix that in 2025.

You are 100% correct on all points. I have a 2023R and love it. No need to gear up, just jump in and drive.
