Come to Jesus it's in the AME hymn . I play it every so often for discipleship
The altar call story was a bit misleading. One, Jesus doesn’t need to ask Satan for anything. He can do what He wants and Satan will always be Satan. In Genesis, as soon as Adam and Eve bit apple we are told when God cursed them that Christ was going to die for our sins. No disrespect to this reverand, but he is not sharing the true gospel to bring people to Christ.
Don't feel the the story is misleading. It’s like a parable or similar to the book pilgrims progress. It’s true God needs NOTHING from us. Not from man, satan, etc. The story represents what the Bible says about Gods love. John 3:16 says for God so loved the world, that He gave us his begotten son. This songs represent in a story form of Gods love. Nothing more, nothing less. This is a gospel song and it’s only Job is to point those to Christ.
Deuteronomy chap 22;6-7 dont take the mother bird Moses said to Israel, as you walk along the road you might see a birds nest in a tree or on the ground, if the mother is in the nest with either her eggs or her babies bird, you are allowed to take the baby birds or the eggs , but let the mother go, I studies gods word with all my heart and soul , and I engulf my self reading the word of god, soul out to god with all my heart,i love god with all my heart and all my soul ,
