Then, one day, I discovered groups like The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Teddy Huffam & The Gems, the different Mass Choirs...and all of them are real good, mighty good! I'm now 57 and now have another valve that's leaking (mitral valve) and may require open heart surgery. Pray for me. I'm believing God for healing that I won't need surgery. If I do, he will heal me and bless me through the second surgery.

5 months ago I was in the ICU, and I told everyone that Jesus is my doctor! I lost 9 units of blood and had to have a hysterectomy after giving birth and today I'm fully healed and healthy. My fast recovery was unexpected by doctors! But not unexpected from my doctor, hes a healing God and his name is JESUS! Thank you lord! I'm here!

I'm not religious but I am African American and there is just something about these older gospel songs that speak to my core. From my class and time in school I know what it took for them to sing like this and it moves me. I can't imagine the overt racism, discriminations, sexism, and violence the people before us had to not olny survive, but thrive through. It's amazing, and it makes me extremely proud to come from this stock.

I've been singing this song since Monday and I had a issues come up, a problem that I knew my future was dependent on it. I went in my closet got on my knees looked up and told God to, "come on in my room". You dont have to be sick to call on the Lord. Its Thursday and my situation is taken care of; The Most High assured me that what's for me was for me and no DEVIL has ever been able to abort the plan of God. I'm telling my story because you guys God is real, Jesus is here. He gave me my medicine to cure my worry, anxiety so I can stop worrying and sure enough he gave me my medicine in my room. Keep faith everyone, keep believing, just go in your room close the door and Jesus will meet you and the Holy Ghost will greet you, theres Joy unspeakable joy in that room. Amen

My mom had less than 48 hours to live her preacher and his wife came to out house to pray her home. I had a feeling and wanted to go back there. I watched my mom reach out and say Im Coming With You Jesus In Her Room Moral of my Story Believe in Jesus He coming for you Dont be afraid to go In the Room She is in Heaven Now. And im not sad cause there was Joy Peace and Healing in that Room

One day my 83 year old grandmother decided that she wasn't going to wait for someone to hang her curtains. She climbed up on step stool and lost her balance and fell. When we got upstairs we tried to convince her to go to the emergency room. She would not go. She would not go to her doctor's office either because he told her he was going to be on vacation for two weeks. She turned to us and said Jesus is my doctor! She got an old sheet and put some type of ointment on it and tied it around her waist that was hurting her. Went in her bedroom got down on her knees and pray . 2 weeks later when her doctor got back in town and she told him. He sent to her to the emergency room anyway to get X-rays. A couple hours later he called and told her she had broke 4 ribs but they had already started healing back and were looking good! She got off the phone looked at me and said again... Jesus is my doctor he writes out all my scriptions and gives me all my medicine... In the room! Shaking my head

My mother always tells us that Jesus is our Doctor. Even when going to the Doctor she prays that Jesus hands go over the Doctor hands. My uncle was sick with Covid and his survival was 20%, but we prayed and God sent us a miracle and brought our uncle back. Keep the faith.

When I hear this, I can’t help but think of how STRONG WE ARE! Our ancestors were some warriors! Kidnapped from their homes, tied/chained up for months on a hot smelly ship with very little water and even less food! Many died from starvation, beatings, sickness and even suicide by jumping overboard! Then they finally arrive to this weird country where they know NO ONE! Don’t know the land, don’t know the people, don’t know the customs, don’t know the language, climate, animals, etc...you get the picture! AS IF THAT wasn’t horrific enough, now they are forced to perform hard labor sun up to sun down every day. They were stronger than strong and got creative with anything they could, including creating music like this! I couldn’t survive on the streets of MY own city, with electricity, dumpsters full of food and etc let alone go through what they did! I’m proud of my ancestors and proud that my people never felt the need to kidnap a whole race and force that race to fulfill their needs, wants and sick fetishes! The Pastor is Preaching and adding Praise/Worship Music to his message. After listening to The Song "COME IN MY ROOM" it touched my heart and made happy. My sadness turned into Joy. From my class and time in school I know what it took for them to sing like this and it moves me. I can't imagine the overt racism, discriminations, sexism, and violence the people before us had to not olny survive, but thrive through. I'm telling my story because you guys God is real, Jesus is here. He gave me my medicine to cure my worry, anxiety so I can stop worrying and sure enough he gave me my medicine in my room. Keep faith everyone, keep believing, just go in your room close the door and Jesus will meet you and the Holy Ghost will greet you, theres Joy unspeakable joy in that room. Amen

One day my 83 year old grandmother decided that she wasn't going to wait for someone to hang her curtains. She climbed up on step stool and lost her balance and fell. When we got upstairs we tried to convince her to go to the emergency room. She would not go. She would not go to her doctor's office either because he told her he was going to be on vacation for two weeks. She turned to us and said Jesus is my doctor! She got an old sheet and put some type of ointment on it and tied it around her waist that was hurting her. Went in her bedroom got down on her knees and pray . 2 weeks later when her doctor got back in town and she told him. He sent to her to the emergency room anyway to get X-rays. A couple hours later he called and told her she had broke 4 ribs but they had already started healing back and were looking good! She got off the phone looked at me and said again... Jesus is my doctor he writes out all my scriptions and gives me all my medicine... In the room! Shaking my head

My mother always tells us that Jesus is our Doctor. Even when going to the Doctor she prays that Jesus hands go over the Doctor hands. My uncle was sick with Covid and his survival was 20%, but we prayed and God sent us a miracle and brought our uncle back. Keep the faith.
In her singing, her faith in God is obviously unshakable, in her face, her joy is absolutely blinding; she is 100% sure that Jesus has the power to save and the power to keep her saved. This is the kind of singing that, in my opinion, NONE of the "newer" songs can compare to. I'm not questioning anyone's heart, but these old songs strike something deep, deep down in the soul that lifts you above your circumstances. I praise God for the old mothers of the Church...!

When I hear this, I can’t help but think of how STRONG WE ARE! Our ancestors were some warriors! Kidnapped from their homes, tied/chained up for months on a hot smelly ship with very little water and even less food! Many died from starvation, beatings, sickness and even suicide by jumping overboard!
Then they finally arrive to this weird country where they know NO ONE! Don’t know the land, don’t know the people, don’t know the customs, don’t know the language, climate, animals, etc...you get the picture!
AS IF THAT wasn’t horrific enough, now they are forced to perform hard labor sun up to sun down every day. They were stronger than strong and got creative with anything they could, including creating music like this!
I couldn’t survive on the streets of MY own city, with electricity, dumpsters full of food and etc let alone go through what they did!
I’m proud of my ancestors and proud that my people never felt the need to kidnap a whole race and force that race to fulfill their needs, wants and sick fetishes! Shoutout to y’all humane enough to understand that ‘Their ancestors’ were mentally ill cave men and don’t condone the bs

Wow Amazing Holy Spirit Filling Music I go to a Spanish speaking church and all of our hymns are in this language. I came across this African American old school Vid. The Pastor is Preaching and adding Praise/Worship Music to his message. After listening to The Song "COME IN MY ROOM" it touched my heart and made happy. My sadness turned into Joy. "there was Joy in my Room" I felt Gods Wonderful Holy presence. JESUS IS MY DOCTOR AND HEALED MY SOUL.
