Lpmgato1 I don't think it relates to a railway, this should be a private singer and not government funded. This song is also pretty old, most railroad are built in the recent years. Maybe because you cannot read Chinese, but I feel this song is talking about the beautiful mountainous terrain of Tibet and the unity of all Chinese races

It's very beautiful song and she is an excellent singer. She reminds me of the memory of Li-Xianglan ( Toshiko Yamaguchi ). Li Xianglan was a Japananese, but sang many beautiful songs in Chinese. Li Xianglan could speak Mandarin well. I am not sure whether Gongyue can speak Tibetan well or not.

I can almost guarantee that those who express bitter hostility have not studied anything relating to the people of Tibet or China. Not because they would otherwise agree with the song and enjoy it but because through study they would have learnt conduct for their dealings with their fellow brothers and sisters.
