I agree.. and this is why Eddy Reynoso and Canelo have such a great relationship. Canelo never forgot who picked him up and made him who he is in the sport. If you making millions you should not be greedy and you should pour out success on your coach as well. Imagine the moment you get millions, you don't wanna share the wealth with the one dude who got you there. It is a trashy move bro. If I was Spence I'd be paying DJ his due diligence. Never forget where you came from and who was there with you when you were down low.

@@papaaddo6270 if the contract involved a % of the FULL AMOUNT SPENCE GETS then yes he should pay up. If you take care of your own specifically, the team that took you to the top, you shouldn't have a problem with that. I think once spence started getting that payday in the last fights.. he stopped taking the % of the full amounthe gets and just paying a % of the fight deal..

Looking at Spence, he looks fine and recovered from his injuries. He just can't take anymore punishment for a year or so from fighters like Crawford. Errol Spence is top 10 talent in boxing, he just needs to move up in weight so he isn't killing himself. Fighters can recover if done properly and are resilient, and Spence have the type of genetics that recovers fast.
If Spence didn’t pay his coach the right amount on money that means he knows his career is almost over meaning he no longer believes in himself as a fighter. It doesn’t make it right but if that’s what’s going on it’s over for Spence’s career.
Do you really believe that Errol didn't pay Derrick..? Do you think Errol can do that. Keep in mind that his fighter is still with Derick James

his only source of income was errol spence. spence doesn't fight every month. it made sense to train other fighters during spence off Season.

He is right. Trainers are part of a fighter's glory. They also sacrifice a lot of their time and should be rewarded. But I also think if a fighter can improve his skills with getting a second trainer in his team or getting a new trainer. He or she should have the right to also because at the end of the day their the one getting into the ring to battle.

Agreed. If you come up together then you should eat together. Especially if that trainer was working with you and compromising their pay to see you succeed.
But Robert Trainers can get busy with multiple other fighters and slack to the extreme with that great fighter as Spence! The great fighter will notice and if the slack on trainer get bad it could cost the fighter by them losing! There’s always another Quantum probability! Q&A

Very disappointed with Spence. From the drinking that lead to the accident to the partying, the lack of focus, the lack of activity, the way he looked against Crawford, now this! Where I'm from when you grow you take care of the people who takes care of you. Derrick shouldn't have to ask for anything. He was there when Spence had nothing and was getting in trouble in the streets. Now Spence gets a big payday and Derrick had to ask? He'll naw,i don'tleave your people that helped you make it in tge mud! Derrick eants the best for you and was clearly hurt when you lost. Same thing happened with Tyson when he didn't stick with Kevin Rooney.
Spence did this with Blu-ray also and was never the same. Spence is done in my opinion.

Yeah I disagree. A good team sticks together when things aren't going their way. One knockdown and their whole game plan fell apart. One loss and their team fell apart. They are both talented at what they do but they were never a good team.

Errol Spence Jr is not a natural born fighter,not a god gifted talent.He was built,a really good fighter,really good.But if this rumor is true, It's the end road for EJ,no one can prepare him like Derrick James,it would take years to get to know EJ and that style to prep him for a real fight,with a real opponent

I was routing for Erroll but against TC but he looked like absolute dogshit ( yes he stayed in the ring for 9 rounds but anymore and he’d be brain dead) and while that fight made him alot of $ he lost 90% of his respect .Before the fight he was saying he was gonna break Bud mentally and physically and “spiritually” but ironically that’s what he did to himself . The problem is you not your coach , just retire cause another fight like that and the 10% respect left will be gone .

If they are indeed splitting, good on Spence to leave Derrick's camp. He needs a trainer that can teach him defense, Derrick isn't good at setting his guys up for that kind of technique, probably would be better with a trainer like Floyd Sr or Calvin Ford
