I didn't have any problem with it during my gaming sessions and I played only in performance mode not custom mode so I think you should go and buy it and just use performance mode

There is a lot of price difference in these two laptop but is LOQ worth the extra money?

For the same price an loq with and r7 7840hs and 4060 vs dell g15 5530 with 13650hx and 4060, which one to pick?
I think Lenovo has better build quality when it comes to LOQ and Legion line up, but haven't personally tried dell yet.
let me tell you this. Dell locked the laptop to avoid the CPU from Undervolting so keep that in mind. if you can get your hands on the laptop in the video with the same CPU it will be much better since loq is nice with cooling thus they did not lock the same CPU version in LOQ.
if I had to choose I will tell you to go for the loq but its up to you. do you prioritize cooling? battery? go for the loq paired with ryzen CPU.
You need more cores, threads don't care much about battery dropping to 0 few hours in than go with dell. but if you want outright gaming only then lenovo is the winner. that's my personal opinion.
Any idea when the i7-14700HX variant will be available in Canada (and for what price)?
I currently can only see the i7-13650HX variant, however it is pretty cheap at $1155.19 CAD (w/o tax) with my ID me discount.

The 13650HX is totally fine but the 14700HX model will be priceier if you're fine with spending more money you can get the 14700HX model and what's the GPU variant you're looking for?

I'm going to buy it for Software Engineering and some gaming coupled with Unity+Unreal Engine coupled with compiling and coding..
this is the best laptop I found so far for all of the above with my current budget 1100USD. Maybe the only downfall that I can think of is the battery but even that can be upgraded if you really need the off charger light use. It's a gaming laptop after all so dont expect much especially paired with that HX intel cpu A powerful CPU with powerful dranning capacities lol

I recommend you to upgrade it in the repair store you can also find the instructions on UA-cam if you want to do it by yourself

@@heetkhunt5277 then why acer offering budget gaming laptop with atleast 1 thunderbolt port intel and 1 USB4 for AMD example is Nitro 16, more cheaper than LOQ16. i dont know why lenovo still ditching these future proofing ports on budget gaming laptops.

I just bought mine. I5 13500H with a 4050 and 1TB SSD with 8Gb ram for 770 on Amazon. Which i also went ahead and purchased 2x16 of DDR5 for an extra hundred.

How is the thermals and like what's the room temperature?
It was under control it didn't suffer from overheat and everything was ok it was tested in normal room temp around 23C
Between i7-13650hx and i7-14700hx, how much difference do they give? Is it worth upgrading?
Just look how many cores,hertz and treads they have and do simple math.and yea they have a big diffrents

14th gen is better if you are going to play cpu heavy games or you will do video editing but if no and you are on a budget then dont upgrade
It depends on the price if it's a lot more expensive you should go for 13650HX
@BinoshaTech At the end, it looks like the 14700hx variance isn't available in my country(at least for now) so I got the 13650hx version instead 🥲

How to know if the laptop is full? I set it to sleep but don’t know how to identify if already full or not lol. (I got this yesterday. And upgraded to 32gb ram)
