Wtf my father is alawite and he had problems with the government same like many other Syrians, alawites live in same poverty that the rest of people in Syria and were same oppressed with the system and cenzorship, the only beneficients in the country were the baath party members and they were of various religious backround, being an alawite didnt benefit you in any way, if it would be like that my relatives would have better jobs and not live in extreme poverty.
