Thanks again Ryan for the airtime on the channel, it's great to share the ownership experience with your subscribers. Feel free to ask me any questions about the Model Y, Ranger etc. Thanks Everyone.
Best of both worlds I have a lifted jeep wrangler. Its noisy, feel all the bumps drinks fuel like its going out of fashion.
But i still love it 😅
Appreciate your assessments Mike! Completely understand that you need the 4WD for multiple use cases. It’s so obvious now that Australia needs options for folk like u (and so many others) in terms of rugged 4WD EV pickups/utes. Thanks for sharing your experiences with your Ranger and also your Tesla Mike!
Thanks! Yep it's a juggle, I had to throw a few bikes in the back at the last minte today. Load time on the ranger was 30 seconds.
Great talk fellas. Thank you both
Thanks 👌
Great real world discussion Ryan and Mike 👍. Hilux and Ranger remain Australia's most popular new vehicle and family car. It will be interesting to see if the popularity of these Utes continues now that the ATO instant-asset write-off has ended and years long wait-list catches up with demand. Ryan appeared to be enjoying himself in the passenger seat of the Ranger as they rolled-coal through the Aussie bush at 8x the price of the Tesla 😅
Nice work Ryan.
Thanks mate
We need the Rivian.
Yes we do!
I reckon if Rivian came to Australia they’d make a killing
Great video Ryan! Very informative! Rivian would be an amazing secondary option! If only! Having said they do need to sort out some bugs.
Yep agree, definitely mixed feedback on the Rivian.
@@mikeboudrie6585 Thanks for the reply! I have heard the later models are getting more repairable, and lots of those issues being fixed, hopefully they release some more models soon 👍
Thanks Ryan , great video. Really interesting for me as i am about to be in the same boat. Will have a Tesla as our main daily and shorter trips, but our other car is a diesel SUV (Jeep GC) which we will use for longer trips as we often tow a small caravan. This seems like a good balance for us at the moment until something more capable comes along on the EV front.
As a Tesla and Ranger owner, I can relate. Except the Tesla now does nearly 25000km a year and the Ranger lucky to do 7000km. Both very good cars in their classes. We have the 2l Biturbo engine which gets low 7s on the highway. Nothing on the Model 3 for performance, technology and running costs.
Can relate to the indictors!
Yep... I have to do a mental reset each time I jump between cars. 7L is not too bad for the size. The 3.2 eats it up.
Interesting. Good Video bro
Great video as always Ryan! Loving the slight podcast type videos. Very insightful And interesting. You should see if you can find somone with like a range rover and find out why they don't have a tesla or any electric car.
Good idea
Check out the video I did with Ryan a few months back when I first had the Model Y. We switch from and Audi Q7
@@mikeboudrie6585 already seen and commented. Loved it!!
I am a Ranger, not a Ranger owner but am a model 3 owner. Another great video.
i just had a seizure reading that
Brilliant discussion, thanks fellas. So clearly Australia needs some rock solid, high clearance, long range utes/pickup truck EVs. Cybertruck. Rivian. Bring it 💥🚀🏔️🙏
Agree !! Can't wait to see the likes of Rivian and CT on our roads one day (hopefully!)
@@RyanCowan Bloody oath, cobber!! Thanks for all you do Ryan - honestly superb mate, always superb 🙏👏🌟🚙
Yep sure does. I think if we saw some of those hit the market it would be a game changer, pushing a better charging infrastructure also
I thought LDV brought out electric Ute?
Ryan,Tell me I am not going mad but I think I have already viewed this many months ago
Haha Mike was on the channel a few months ago, different video though, but set in the same spot
Hahaha, yep this is video number 2 I have done with Ryan.
I have a tesla, and I still own a petrol 7 seater. Model Y just doesn’t do everything let’s be honest
Yep, spot on. I suppose it's about getting one car that will do as much as possible.
The only problem is that Tesla has gone too minimalistic in its one screen and no buttons, and it is sooo ugly. I really do want to go electric but unless the ranges go up more and the prices go down it is difficult for a large number of people to even consider an EV. I think Tesla has the best computer systems for their cars, but they don’t cater for loads of people with poor towing capacity, and as I said the huge lack of buttons and a driver or heads up screen. I think everything in one screen is dangerous.
There's quite a few people with this view and I completely understand it as it was something I had a level of concern about also when we got the Model Y, however it's just a learning curve getting used to the interface. Once you're familiar it's actually completely fine. And as for looks I suppose that's completely subjective, my bet is that they will still look good in 10 years and most other cars will look dated.
Cybertruck...................Australia............🤣
lol yeah I know, probs never going to happen 😂
@@RyanCowan.."probs" the operative word here. All the vehicle from Tesla of my interest are not sold in RHD markets. If the future is steer by wire then the tooling cost will be greatly reduced. Tesla, your desire lives in hope.
@@_Sensei__8 Great, second refund from that company. Glad they are still in business. This may be - the charm! /s
@@_Sensei__8 Ja, ja, me paying $70k deposit on the Roadster. Hoping cancellation will mount to free Supercharging for........a decade. 💔
