Jesus was likely born sometime in the summer which would correlate with the unusually bright star patterns that were noted by astrologers. However, the decision was made to move the celebration date to December 25 to replace the original pagan holiday. Interestingly, the original Puritans banned celebration of Christmas for that purpose. But I believe it's perfectly fine for Christians to celebrate Christmas as long as Christ is still in the center and it has nothing to do with any of the original pagan holidays.

Why do preachers feel the need to be a “show man” on stage? What happened to standing still at the pulpit at teaching Gods word?
As long as it's not distracting and it helps the people to grasp the message, then it should be fine.
