Tilt Brackets are an optional Accessory for the MinnKota Talon
Hey Doug, great video. I was looking at adding a power pole or talon to my 17 ft aluminum bass tracker to use in the lakes (sinclair, oconee, tobosofkee) and the local river (occmulgee). I was wondering how strong the talon is in a rivers current? I have my reservations that the channel of the second stage may bind when a fair amount of pressure was put on it from a decent river current. Any opinions? BTW I just picked up a hummingbird 999 si from bass pro and all your hummingbird videos have been super helpful. keep up the good work and rip some lips!
Talons are Tough! Been very impressed and put them in some very tough conditions and they work just fine. Current should be no problem for them. Check out the Torture Videos from MinnKota www.talontorturechamber.com/
Does the tilt bracket come with the black rest?
I am wondering what size boat will this work on? I saw Al Linder fishing in a small john type boat with a talon on the official Minn Kota You Tube channel. If I get one, I only need an 8 foot talon for helping me launch my boat and for crappies during the spawn. Everything else I'll just use spot lock. I'm probably going to buy a boat during the boat show coming up in January here in Minnesota.
I have seen them on smaller 16' Aluminum Boats, 24'+ Pontoon Boats, Bass Boats and more. They virtually can work on about any size boat .
I know this is old but do you think one of the new 15s would hold my 17ft Lund deep v aluminum? Can't afford 2
