As a Singaporean, we usually just use the same side of the chopsticks to grab and cook the raw food, then "sanitise" it by dipping it into the hot soup, before using the same pair to eat. It was hilarious seeing you use the other side of your chopsticks! The prata place was really value for money too (:

I noticed food can be really cheap in all parts of Asia. This is comforting to know. It would be nice if there is a seafood buffet. Like all you can eat lobsters, crabs, turtles, and salmon.

They do have seafood buffet and of course at a higher price and usually serve at hotels. The food in Asia is at low price but also there wages is low too.

$5 usd is about $8 nzd. So that is still worth it and the buffet is really value for money. Most meals in New Zealand cost around $12 nzd to $18 nzd. Buffet could cost over $20 nzd for a person. The cost of living is just higher here in New Zealand.

Thanks for all the compliments for the paratha also known as 'roti canai". I think you got the spelling of " paratha" slightly mistaken. It's not "prada" but "paratha". Paratha was invented in South India. And brought over to Msia and Spore by the merchant and labour class of South India and possibly others.
