For those seeking to just flatten land by layers in any place without special commands before fill an EXAMPLE of it is : /fill ~5 ~1 ~5 ~-5 ~-1 ~-5 minecraft:air this is RANGE not a coordinate thing, so be careful on how to set it or you might end up losing a huge chunk

It’s either I’m stupid and can’t understand anything or there’s a bug with my game/I’m not using it correctly. Cause I did it and then tried to use it it didn’t work. All I got was a message saying something like “filled whatever number blocks” yet nothing changed. But when I go back to the command blocks to check if the commands were right, it deletes one.
odd, if you're gonna go back near the command block, you should remove the tag first, as it stops the commands and therefore won't break the command blocks if you're still having issues, let me know, and i'll try help!
Love this command. The fact you didnt tell us to turn it off combined with the less than stellar answers on Google have pretty much fucked my world of just under a year, simply because I wanted to delete a portion of an island. Now all the land to bedrock has been deleted, and in my attempt to destroy the command block because there's apparently no way to remove the tag, there's huge chunks of land missing. Really good tutorial 0/10

😮 ok my question (since there's actually NO discord link below 🤨) FLAT WORLD, Can I use these commands in the air and have it create a new layer of blocks, ONE SQUARE HIGH? (BASICALLY, I want to create a series of 'levels' a large flat floor and a large flat ceiling, at least 6 blocks above it.
When I try to change this to 63-62 it clears the land out, but doesn’t turn 62 into the block I want. It just clears the 63 layer. And I’ve done it multiple times. What am I doing wrong? My area had to be 63 and not 64. If it was 64 I wouldn’t need to change anything.
Fixed it, by copying my old block and just changing things in it. I have no idea what was wrong with the new block as it was typed out exactly the same.
I did exactly what the video shows but it's not working right. It only deletes blocks and it's where I am at height don't matter it takes blocks from higher and lower than the height I put base on my location and it won't place grass
I got it to do 30 by changing the code to this: /execute as @a[tag=clearland] at @s run /fill ~30 64 ~30 ~ ~ ~ air I played with 50 and 100 but those were no gos. Maybe someone else had better luck.

One of the most frustrating and awfully put together videos I have ever had the displeasure of trying to follow. You don't elaborate, you didn't paste the commands in the description so I was tediously trying to copy what was briefly on the screen, you're talking like you've got five minutes left on earth. All this video has done is annoy me.

What if you want the grass being placed to go several blocks down so there isn't just a top level sheet of grass?

on java, you'll need to tweak it slightly
but yeah, should work pretty similar.
