I hope you all enjoyed learning how to use commands to easily fill, destroy, or replace mass amounts of blocks in Minecraft Bedrock edition! For anyone trying to clear an area with air like in the video with the block state change the command is /fill 82 62 85 72 72 74 air [] destroy using your coords of course. Hopefully this helps someone bc I struggled for like 30 mins 😅😅
@@TheOdyssei yes! I’ve been using it bc I wanted to flatten an island but am honestly too lazy to dig it lmao but I want the materials so I’ve been using this command to collect it all.
1.) If anyone watches this now just remove the 0 for removing blocks and it works 2.) OMG THANKS SO MUCH, YOU LITERALLY JUST SAVED LIKE 2 WEEKS OF MY LIFE
For anyone trying destroy command, just leave out the zero and only type air destroy or just type air if you don’t want the blocks, hope this helps, may change in future updates but as of 10/18/23 good to go New players ONLY tip: don’t too many layers at once because your game WILL crash, I don’t know the limit before crashing but make sure you put your items away cause too many items on the ground is where the crash comes from, enjoy
FINALLY. I'm hopelessly awful at logic but I know how helpful commands can be. Surprised it took this long for a good tutorial! Would love to see more of this!
You can also hit tab twice to fill in your coordinates then hit enter. Go to your second spot, type slash, hit the up arrow (repeat last command), then double tab 3 times then your desired block or "air". It's a bit easier in Java as it works on the targeted block rather than the block you're standing on.
i play bedrock on pc with controller and use my keyboard to do commands and the tab twice thingy, very useful video it’s increased my building performance in all aspects lol
Tulsa’s are also really helpful if you want to make something in a certain direction. Say, I want to make a 50 block long wall. I just need to figure out which direction the wall will be going (+/-x or +/-z). (This example will be towards positive x) Then type the command /fill ~~~ 50~ 10~ ~ stone This will create a wall 50 blocks towards positive x and 10 blocks up If you wanna do a different direction just change which tilda you put the numbers by. From left to right it’s XYZ. If you wanted a wall towards negative z /fill ~~~ ~ 10~ -50~ stone Note - it will make this relative to where you are, instead of any specific coordinates
This helped a lot especially because I was doing build battles with my friends soon and needed to know commands all some of the commands like /fill ~~~ (0 which I never used) replace
For example : /fill 305 0 699 ~~~ double_wooden_slab After the block just add a 0 Hollow It will be like this: /fill 305 0 699 ~~~ double_wooden_slab 0 hollow
*OTHER USEFUL TIPS* If you type /fill ~~~ ~+16 ~+16 ~+16 stone, that will fill a 16 by 16 by 16 area of stone going in the positive direction for all dimensions. Vice versa with ~-16. This could be useful if you want to create a fill structure around you, say, a cube centred around you. /fill ~-16 ~ ~-16 ~+16 ~+16 ~+16 stone You could use the fill command to find diamonds on a seed so that you can mine them on your real survival world without having to X-ray. The same applies for ancient debris. As follows: go to Y level 6 on creative (for diamonds). Then type: /fill ~-16 ~ ~-16 ~+16 ~+16 ~+16 air 1 replace stone This removes only the stone in the area, making almost all diamonds visible for you to note down the coordinates of them for later use. For ancient debris, instead of stone, do netherrack. You may also want to remove lava to clearly see the debris. Finally, the data number in front of the block type is important if you want to get a specific colour of wool/concrete/terracotta, etc. There is no yellow_concrete block, there is only concrete, which you can change the colour of by typing ‘concrete 2’, ‘concrete 3’, ‘concrete 4’, etc. If you can’t find a block in the fill command menu, this data number might be the culprit, so be wary. Thanks for the tutorial JC. Please like or pin so other people can see this (not to beg 🤭)
I've seen a few of these videos when I was learning how to do this and I've watched quite a few where they talk about tilda's and I tried putting them in but I could never understand what it meant. You clearly stated how to use them correctly and a lot of people don't explain that it also this is easily the best video I've seen on this, good job!
