I've had that Kebtec for about 6 months now, and use them every other day - fruit trees, clearing shrubs from fence lines, and even finer floral snipping work. They have not disappointed me in any way.
Good morning, Tim, I purchased a "generic" brand from the Australia Post shop for my partner as she loves pruning. Anyway, it has been a winner for the money paid. And the idea was to use and prove that we needed a set. If they died and needed replacement, the plan was to buy a "better" set. But so far it has not let us down. Thanks for making the comparisons, as I have Ryobi battery gear in the shed, so I would have leaned toward the brand, not now. Cheers.
I have a ton of Ryobi stuff. However because of you I bought a DeWalt pruner because it has the safety on the trigger (no delay). Thank you! I would have lost my mind with that Ryobi safety feature.
Great video! I have a lot of Ryobi One+ stuff and have been impressed with a mate's Ryobi secateurs but based on your review, if I was pruning all day, everday, I would go for the Kebtec. Until I saw this video, I didn't even know it existed. Cheers.
@@FarmLearningTim Yep! And I've had a couple of those "misses". The thing about the Ryobi stuff is that you tend to get locked in once you start accumulating them because of the price of batteries. That said, because of their reasonable prices and long warranty periods, I'm generally happy. If I were a tradie, I would probably go for higher end stuff. I did notice that the Ryobi shears in your video looked very well used. Thanks for your videos, Tim. They save a lot of time doing research on products and reveal products a lot of us mere mortals didn't even know about.
The Ryobi in this video is the lower end model I got the higher end 1 two weeks ago it's great much faster stronger and bigger cutting diameter blades.
Nice review! Kebtech now has distributor in the US, Texas I think. I'm definitely leaning that way great bang for the buck. Just wish they had a second width setting but that cycle time kind of makes up for that.
About a week ago, I got the ryobi p2505 hp model brushless with a hp 4ah battery 🔋 and it's a beast think your opinion of the ryobi hp model would differ greatly. Cheers. Update, although heavy in weight with the 12ah hi output 🔋 anything that fits into the jaw and slightly bigger stock with a couple cuts is no problem
I've noticed a lot of reviews always pick the brushed version of the Ryobi tool to compare it's very odd. I've seen a 5+ drill review where all tools were brushless except the Ryobi.
The Ryobi you have in this video is the lower end model i ended buying the hight model its much faster and stronger add a little bit bigger cutting diameter. Its great i did accidentally find on Amazon they sell battery adapter so you can use other brands in Ryobi. I did end up buying 1 the lets you use Makita batterys in Ryobi. I did try it in a hedge clipper it worked just fine like it was supposed to
My mother in Spain bought a model very similar to the Mobishear, but it has a problem with a safety feature that detects a too large branch size. It stops even before the blades close. I'd go for the Kebtech all day long since, for most work, medium small branches is all that is needed. I have heard of cheaper kebtech copycat models, that don't have the large branch kickback and push into the branch no matter what. They are also cheaper.
Mate...you're using an old version of the Ryobis...current model is EASILY as fast as the others. Wake-up is quicker too but still has the 30 second shutdown.
Funny, bunnies still have the same ones on their shelves. Mind you if Ryobi wants to send me an update I’ll be happy to use them. I’m not forking out for another set anytime soon
@@FarmLearningTim Sure, I get that. I bought mine a month or two ago and I swear they're faster. Have used them on goat's hooves too...straight blades would be better but easier than manual shears...gotta be careful though, both with the hooves and your fingers.
I live in the US and it appears the Ryobi model here is different than the one used in the video. Mine doesn’t “go to sleep” like that and is ready to go with every click. I have a dozen or more Ryobi 18V tools and this one is by far the one I use most. The only problem I have with it is I use it extensively for which the blade loses its sharpness. Seems like there should be a replacement available but according to Ryobi, there is not. So I guess I need to figure out if sharpening the blade (which wouldn’t seem like an easy task) works or just replace it.

Had the new ryobi ones since January this year, even tho ive babied them, and been well under the cutting diameter, seems as tho the gearss are make a clicking noise thats surfaced, but still cutting, sending them back, lets see what they say. great reviews.
I have the ryobi but a different model . I also have the Kebtek the larger one 25 volt . The ryobi works very good . The Kebtek cuts a larger branch . They both work very good . And I have a few ryobi tools so i already have the batteries . And the ryobi tool only cost me $72.00 that’s with the tax .
Well the mobishear is priced very high . And the ryobi shear you picked there cheapest model ? Guess you really want the mobishear to stick out . Most people will not pay that ridiculous price for the mobishear
Deceptive presentation on the cutting power. Everyone knows or should know that you place the thick or bottom side of the blade against the branch to be cut and let the thin top blade do the cutting. You didn’t do that with the Ryobi or Kebtek…❗️
You are heavily biased against the cheap Ryobi model you used with constant emphasize about it going to sleep. The Ryobi brushless model is as good or better than the other two models you used and represents very good value
Thanks for a comprehensive review on power cordless secatours

I’m impressed with a lot of the Ryobi gear too. Especially for a small property, but there are some misses……

Would like to know if you can shear sheep hooves with them. Was hoping you would have tried.
Yes I’ve done that. Video a couple years back
@@FarmLearningTim Hi Tim - went looking for this vid. Do you have the name or link please? Wasnt obvious. Thanks again for your vids
I avoid Amazon so how can I buy the kemtec
Do a review on the millif pruner that use dewalt 20v battery
A MILF pruner? I think you are on the wrong channel….. 😂 seriously though mate, I’m happy to review stuff but it depends who reaches out.

Kebtec seems the way to go they have a professional version as well which is 25v and $400

Can you get the sheep trimming blades for kebtec ? I looked but could not find any
No mate. Specially made by Mobishear for Mobishear.
Thanks , shame though. I'll give the grinder a go. I can't spend 1600 on cutters@@FarmLearningTim

I reckon I can keep my fingers out of the way, Might go get a Kebtec. But, I'd like a Mobishear all the same, can't be too careful.

I have the Kebtek 40mm 25v batteries…..when my batteries get down to about 60 %……..they DIE…..
Hello friends, sorry to heard that problem you met.Don't worry. Kebtek offer two years warranty, please feel free to contact us.
But why are the Roybis so well used then...
Because I used them first?

The Ryobi is what I had. The only model that my local hardware sells. The video was a fair representation of what I tested.
Us Imperialist agree the one in the middle price range is a go.
