  • @thefool2007
    @thefool2007 Місяць тому +1

    Wow that is impressive. Features and functionality make sense and sound high-quality. I wonder if they would make a Katana 800 (400 W / 8 ohms) as that may be more practical for gigging with a drummer at a venue or outdoors (versus inside on stage). The opening bass line was so thick, fat, and juicy it grabbed my attention. That bass guitar is super sweet and Kai is a killer bassist- super demo. Price on Reverb for pre-order is $799 shipped which seems great considering what you are getting (makes it tempting).

    Thank you as always for the great reviews and demos! A couple questions, you mentioned about how good the DI out is, does it have a dedicated transformer or something else so it pushes all of the whole signal and transients? Also, is it all digital or are there any analog components? Thank you so much 😊

    Is the power amp here the same as the boss bass katana 110/210?

  • @Metalbass1979
    @Metalbass1979 Місяць тому +4

    I'd totally want one but it doesn't have international power switching. That is literally the ONLY thing they didn't throw in. Flying from Africa, across Europe, then across the USA doesn't work very well if I have to carry a transformer when I want to travel light.
    Edit: Hey, BOSS! Please make this thing with universal power! Please. Seriously. It has everything I'd ever want and need, but that. I've watched this video a few times, plus a few more. This amp wants me.... I can feel it.

  • @jreid641

    Pretty interesting. I saw someone talking about this somewhere. They were thinking there was no reason for this amp since it's all in the 2x10 combo. Personally, I would prefer the head so I could use it on whatever cabinet I want.

    • @han_mono
      @han_mono Місяць тому +3

      The Amp has much more options compared to the combo, that said while the features were impressive, the sound samples weren’t my cup of tea.

    • @GrantFunkyFrabe
      @GrantFunkyFrabe Місяць тому +1

      Beyond being able to the the head in whatever cab, (hartke for me personally) this head is a little more powerful than the one that comes in the combo. Plus some features the combo doesn't have.
      In my opinion, the speaker is the weakest part of the Boss Bass Katana. I'd love to hear the head through my Hartke Stack

    • @Ibnfunk
      @Ibnfunk Місяць тому +2

      @abouc yeah I get you. I prefer self-reliant hardware too. But the price of these compared to the price of a quality valve amp, let alone the price of range amps to cover the different settings this has, makes me glad we have a thriving industry for both

    • @Bassman1999
      @Bassman1999 Місяць тому

      @@aboucThe thing is your amp will have broken 2-3 times in that timeframe. Roland /Boss is notoriously reliable so there is a good chance their kit will be working perfectly in 30 years. I have a 20 year old Roland bass amp and it has literally 100’s of hours of use home rehearsing and even small gigs. It has never missed a beat. The best piece of music kit I have ever purchased.
