- What does it mean to be remembered by God? Throughout Scripture, we see how God looks upon the suffering, hears their cries and silent prayers...and remembers them. When He remembers, He takes action!
Exodus 2:23b-24 (AMP) says, "...And the children of Israel groaned and sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out. And their cry for help because of their bondage ascended to God. So God heard their groaning and God REMEMBERED His covenant with Abrham, Isaac, and Jacob. God Saw... God took notice... and was concerned (knowing all, understanding all, and REMEMBERING all)."
Genesis 30:22 says, "Then God REMEMBERED Rachel, and God listened to her, and opened her womb."
None of these stories demonstrate that they didn't endure suffering or heartache for a season, but they do show that God remembered them by answering and redeeming them. He is always setting the stage for redemption long before it happens; He is aligning what needs to be in place. When He does redeem it, His supernatural power is often revealed, to deliver and set free. It may not seem supernatural to you, but if you have connected with us or another organization - with those who were willing to support and walk alongside you - it is through His supernatural powers. They are working in others' hearts to form and sustain this ministry; to serve and deliver the oppressed.
Friend, God hears our pleas, sees our (often silent) tears and broken hearts, and He REMEMBERS us! When He remembers, He always takes action: he rescues us, and offers us redemption, even if we feel undeserving, or that we have earned our victimhood by disobeying Him.
"For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust," Psalm 103:14. And He extends mercy.
