I learned of him a couple months ago, my mum passed away a few days ago, and I decided to play this at the funeral which is in a couple weeks. His voice is golden.
Straight blues with hillbilly/country twist. From Kentucky to near you. Just seen him lastnight in Madison, WI. Best live performance ive ever seen. And ive seen many.
Its been over a year yet still I keep coming back to this reaction. Your reaction when he starts singing is the greatest reaction to anything on youtube. It instantly brightens my day.
I've been playing music for about 17 years, and the reaction on Beth's face at the beginning is the only thing I've ever strived for (man or woman) when I play. Lol Beth is great.
He is a musical genius. He takes a few simple words and makes into this amazing song. His song writing skills are very evident here. I am not sure if this hi s carefully planned, or it just flows naturally from him. Great job Chris.
I love your video ♥ And yes girl... if you get the chance to see Chris live, please do whatever you can to make it happen. He is just... unbelievable. I live in Nashville, Tennessee and have been volunteering at a local concert venue for almost 10 years and have been able to see some of the best performers in the world do warm ups, sound checks, and multiple night shows. And Chris Stapleton is easily within the top 3 I've ever had the pleasure of hearing, along side legends like Billie Joel and Elton John. I've probably seen him sing at different events close to 10 times now and he blows my mind every single time.
So great, he sings like he plays guitar. That raspy voice part especially sounds like his raking technique on guitar. Such a sweetness to his voice. Thank you Beth.
I've seen him live and I went in thinking it would be a little bit different but oh my god this dude has the greatest live singing voice I've ever heard anywhere. Going to see him again in July.
React to "tennesse whiskey" or "whiskey and you" songs by chris stapleton as well that are equally amazing! All of chris stapleton is epic in general 👍
When you said there was bluegrass and a little metal in his singing. He was in a rock band called The Jompson Brothers and a bluegrass band called the SteelDrivers.
Played for one of my boys from high school (hes black) he was shocked and said exact same thing. "Oohhhh wweeeee that man can sang, he taking dem to chaarch"
what i like about the chorus part…and you touched on it in terms of vocals technique…but in the emotional aspect…he takes us thru the stages of crying…the initial belting of the cry…next the stage of crying where we lose it…and then the ending part where we lose our breath kinda and whine…all beautiful
I know you get a million recommendations however his version of Amanda that he and his wife sing together is excellent. Her voice is wonderful and made to harmonize with his.
That man is absolutely fabulous, the way he mix so many music styles in to one unique sound and expression. Love his voice. More really good songs from him are, Tennessee whiskey and what are you listing to. Both of them are really good.
Loved watching your reaction to his voice. Looked like you almost shed a tear. That's okay. That's what he does. So much soul, hurt, and hope in his voice.
I always enjoy your reactions, but this one was one of my favorites. Some vocal coach reactions are dull ,not yours .You can tell that you feel the music. I love that . Best wishes and I'm telling everyone I know about your channel...
He was actually a ghost writer for years. Wrote number ones. His wife convinced him to put out his songs. Learned guitar on his own in a year, I believe
You do a good job of describing the process without dispelling the humanity of the process. Good job! Chris Stapleton is one of the elite singers for sure.

Chris Stapletons voice, is a gift
The man is a national treasure, everyone loves his voice.
Fun watching you melt a little listening to him😉
Looked like you got alil excited womanly heading his angelic voice. Can't blame you it's beautiful. No Maynard from tool but not really a comparison
Yes yes, loooove it too!!!!
As one does when listening to chris stapleton
I had the exact same reaction when I first heard Chris Stapleton. Especially in a world of terrible country he's a beautiful breath of fresh air.
Tyler childers, colter wall, and sturgill Simpson are also bringing back country.
Yo, that dude will absolutely steal your girl.
He clearly deserves her.
No kidding
You ain't gotta worry he's happily married with a mess of young'uns.
Dats tuff!!!

Bolivian trucker
Southern America is Mexico
