From Wikipedia:
Salt Lake City, often shortened to Salt Lake or SLC, is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Utah. It is the seat of Salt Lake County, the most populous county in the state. The city is the core of the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), which had a population of 1,257,936 at the 2020 census. Salt Lake City is further situated within a larger metropolis known as the Salt Lake City-Ogden-Provo Combined Statistical Area, a corridor of contiguous urban and suburban development stretched along a 120-mile (190 km) segment of the Wasatch Front, comprising a population of 2,746,164 (as of 2021 estimates), making it the 22nd largest in the nation. With a population of 200,133 in 2020, it is the 117th most populous city in the United States. It is also the central core of the larger of only two major urban areas located within the Great Basin (the other being Reno, Nevada).
Finally someone shows what Utah truly looks like.
Exactly. People are always describing utah as a snowy desert but it ain't that snowy in the summer.
Salt Lake City is not as innocent as it looks. There’s everything there like any other city. It’s just the big city of Utah. SLC has a cool underground vibe. 🖤
Everybody not ignorant knows it's full of drugs just like most of states!
A walking tour! Yes! I'm loving the unique on-foot perspective complete with the ambience. Good video Mike!
Thanks 👍
I’ve lived in Salt Lake since January 2021 and while it’s not any New York or San Fran night life, I can tell you that it’s growing and we’ve had some wild nights in downtown SLC 😂
I really enjoy watching this. Good job
This feels like you’re playing a game in first person and we’re looking at all the NPC activity along with exploring the map.
Thanks for this video. There is always the misconception there are very little bars and nightlife here. True it's not the scale of larger cities but we do have places you can go to.
At 18:01 classic utah driver. Silver Toyota camry, pulls past the white lines so nobody can walk. Utah doesn't have the worst drivers, we have the most impatient drivers. Utah isn't all mormon anymore. Downtown SLC can get pretty crazy. Still better than Chicago or LA. I've lived here all my life
Nothing better than getting hammered with your friends on a Salt Lake City Saturday night
I live in Utah and it's beautiful here
I love checking out nightlife when I travel. You get to see the social gathering places of the city.
Salt Lake City is lit!
Salt Lake definitely resembles Phoenix to some degree especially in many of the suburbs look very similar to the ones in Phoenix I'm not kidding except for the we don't have palm trees but we're not nearly as hot except for in southern Utah yes
Nice Walk 👍😁
Can't wait for November.
Salt Lake City's nightlife is pretty decent compared to the rest of the state. Everywhere else sucks (especially Provo!)
Wooowww....
I love Utah sult lake city
❤
You should film ogden 25th on a Saturday night
Nah, Wall Avenue at 3:00 A.M. 😛 With a nice car and phone battery at 12%. 😛😛
Great Job ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It reminds me of downtown San Jose CA.
Nice walk ❤❤❤
1:55 is that woman doing okay I saw her passed out right there when you were walking past her. Salt lake has a really stunning nightlife it's unfortunate despite being a Church controlled state it ends pretty early and soon out there compared to other cities
Not sure but I’m guessing they took care of her.
@@MileageMikeTravels well that's nice of those people to come to her aid
CHAZ dat a dailay occurrence
Most bars or clubs or restaurants the latest might be two in the morning that's some of them
@@DnJar
I'm surprised they natt *dry* barz dat kloze @ 22:00
The crowds look no different than I see on other UA-camrs doing NYC or Miami Beach night walks. Not what I expected in Mormon country.
Well you need to research better everything's not Mormon country out here I live about 30 miles north from this location in downtown Salt Lake in a city called Layton which is in the greater Salt Lake Metro area but it's its own City anyways it's not what you think meaning like the Mormons don't dominate like they used to you really need to understand it's quite various as a variety of different cultures and different faith not just a lot of us Born Again Christians here and other people of other kinds of Faith as well
You need to research more there's a lot of other people of different faiths there it's not just Mormons and they don't dominate like they used to back in the 70s and early 80"ss
yeah it's great. Things have really changed in the last twenty years.
This is the real night street in Utah. It's full of security
There’s lots of violence downtown when the bars close. That’s why I don’t go there around that time. Also, the bar scene in Utah is an absolute sausage fest.
Repeat the video like 4 times 😤
You have to go to different bars and clubs
Nice video. Guessing you're walking with the camera in a shirt pocket so as to not draw attention?
It's in my hand. You can see a few people looking at it.
Thought mormonville was a *dry* citay?
Nope. I have heard people try to tell me they thought the whole state was dry. Some idiot even told me he drove to Wyoming 2 hours away to get beer. I laughed my ass off.
It’s boring compared to other city that’s out of Utah. The liquor store close around 9pm and you can’t get liquor at gas stations or any other places. They have an 1 drink at a time at bars. So you can’t order like 5 shots for yourself.
@513comeup
10 PM bar close rule citywide? Wouldn't surprise me if Jazz games waz liquor free
@@UHaulShorts No not 10. When I used to go out it was 130 last call and the close at 2
@@UHaulShorts Jazz games I think are liquor free but you can get beer.
OMG that women faint out
6:44 what song is this?? 🤨
Ciara - "Goodies"
Add the high-priced bars for small unliquroed drinks.
I'm gonna assume that the majority of them are not not not non-members???😮😂
Utah, home to corporate America's subterranean world
Its a dead city desert 🏜️
27 minutes of people trying to prove how “not-Mormon” they are.
Or ykno just people normally living their lives
Plot twist Salt Lake City still sucks
Yep.
@@dawnagiron2192I am unfortunately moved back here temporarily from out in the country in rural iowa. I already miss iowa so much.
I live somewhere in Utah not in Salt lake City and I am still here I mean Florida is worse I am sorry but I am not dying over there.
Nighife in Utah's like watching paint dry, only less exciting.
Speak for yourself. I went to midget wrestling in slc a month ago.
Omg. So lame
😂
Latino For Trump 💪
UTAH is boring ASF along with SLC. They don’t even cater to urban events. If you don’t believe me then go on Ticketmaster or Seat Geek and see what fun is going on in UTAH. As an BLK MAN from the city Utah is not ready for us yet.
Liquid Joe's has midget wrestling. You ain't lookin hard enough.
Yes please don't move here. And if you are here move away
Lol 😂 @@connersmith4801
Crappy city😮
Utah looks a lot different than i thought....
This is only downtown Salt Lake if you looked at the suburbs it's a lot better and if you looked at other places that are in the metro area like Layton where I live is grown it's like 30 miles north from this location here it looks different I mean it's more pretty in other areas better nicer areas
😂
Definitely be careful crossing the street I'm not kidding even though you'll get the signal you got to be really careful there's a lot of crazy drivers here Utah has some of the very worst without question I'm not kidding even when you're going through the lane or the when you get the signal still be looking both ways so everybody knows you see them and even then I would still be careful because people somebody might be speeding through we have the most dangerous drivers
Were you using a GoPro by chance where did you have it like on your hat or maybe somewhere on up above on your shoulder butt cuz you can carry those otherwise unless you had a really good phone but you have to carry the phone the whole time that way if you're doing that I'm thinking it was probably a GoPro that you could just set on like your shoulder or your chest or something and it would just be running while you're walking
DJI Pocket 3. Linked in description.
Those mormons really know how to party 😂
Also I live in northern Layton if you get a chance even though Layton doesn't have the nightlife that's Salt Lake does but and it's not as big as a whole Salt Lake area but it's only 30 Mi going north from where you were at right there approximately maybe even a little less half an hour you can do a video on it just for sightseeing like different things to see like the Davis Conference Center and other things just to kind of you know like a tour through Layton maybe you should do that one of these days or at night whichever the video is that would be great and if I knew you were coming out and what day I would try to go check it out
