Nice truck. I purchased a 2016 579 back in 2020. My paccar motor has been very good to me. I've had very little issues. It gets the job done just fine. Im more than satisfied.
Nice truck Kev, getting virgin GOOD name brand tires is a huge plus. I spent over $6600 just on bridgestone drivers, not including the two $800/each steer tires.
I know this is an older video lol but you’ll like the paccar. I’m assuming I’m the guy with the blue/black one with the cam failure 🤣. But the guy I lease to is a ISX15 and caterpillar guy, but he needed to borrow mine last week bc both his are down, and he took it across I68 to Baltimore and was thoroughly impressed by this paccar.
Keep grinding keep doing your thing! If you ever want to grow your business invest in another couple trailers a hopper bottom and a pneumatic tanker extra types of freight when it gets on the slower side of things! Love the videos
@@ridingwithkev5560 no problem brother! Wanna see you win! Wanna see my military brothers and sisters out there in the trucking industry win an be happy with what they do! Never give up man!
I’ve got a red 2020 579 peterbilt ultraloft. Mines spec’d a little different. No lane departure, no smart nav more gauges and a 13speed manual. Its the biggest piece of shit i’ve owned. The only reason i drive it is I can’t keep a driver in it for more than 3 months. I would saved the money for the after treatment system. The reason for the engine warraty until 700k is because once it goes over 500k you they will make their money for nox sensor scr and dpf filter differenal speed sensor dosser nozzle dpf pump etc once mine approaced 550k i’ve spent 30k in tow bills lost revenue hotel rooms and breakdown pay for drivers. This has been my first and last paccar. When Peterbilt quit putting Detroits they became junk. I’m trying to get 20k for mine. Good luck with yours.
Semper Fi brother. For the wire sizes for the inverter, most of the inverters you can buy on the market come with wires that can safely supply power to them, like the Cobra 3000 watt inverter coming with #2 wire. For safety, I would go up a size, so from size 2 wire to size 0 wire. Bigger wire means less of a chance of fire. Hope this helps.
Semper Fi. It absolutely helps. I have seen that a lot of them come with wires and don't want to overload the current wires because I know the fire hazard
The inverter itself will help protect everything as well, so it’s another piece of mind thing. Considering you have a standard size truck, you’ll be just fine with the 2500 or the 3000. Heck, I have a 2500 if you want it. That ran a fridge, tv, game system, and rice cooker at the same time.
Funny story i asked them 6 times to make sure it was ungoverned. Left after buying it hit the interstate.........65 max. Had to turn around and go back 😆 set at 80 now
Hey brother, when you bought that, how did you drive it home? Did you have to get a moving permit or something? Or is that something the dealer took care of?
When I bought my first truck because I was leasing ontobsome one else I had to get just bobtail insurance. Because this one was going under my authority I had to add it to my actual insurance.
@@ridingwithkev5560 What about as far as the legal for the road/registration aspect? Did the dealer give you a moving permit or something? Before you got your plate, I mean
@bigrigbutters187 yes the dealer will have a temporary tag to get you home and until younger your plates. I live in texas and bought 1 in Oklahoma and one in Missouri and the dealer handled all the temp paperwork

It definitely was a plus in my book
I remember first watching you when you were with TMC. Now you’re in close to the same truck. But a red version as an O/O 😄. Impressive 🙂
Full circle
Congrats on the new truck! Can we get a tool setup video in the future?
Absolutely thats a pretty good idea

Prime Inc was sale a 2019 peterbilt 579 in white
I only had freightliners while I was there
What did you use to mount your gps like that?
Just the suction mount it comes with
Did you buy it from pedigree or one of the tlg peterbilt dealership?
I did not get it from pedigree is all ill say 🤣
