I'm Cantonese and from Guangzhou. I've been to shanghai 6 years before, for shanghai Expo. It was AWESOME! The views are so beautiful there, all buildings are so damn tall, taller than Guangzhou(the 3rd biggest city in Mainland china).
And now I watched this show, then I know it have so many new things! But it's like a little pity that Jieqiong didn't pick somi to eat the local Shanghai food.
shanghai team lost because somi and kyulkyung are still underage and most of the voters are adult so they expect something that adult wants (like drinking beer or night tours) plus kyulkyung is native speakers and the client is korean so they think that shanghai team easily go wherever they want because kyulkyung can interprete for them but they were koreans so they can't easily do like what shanghai team do. but i really enjoy the shanghai team :(
The shanghai team's trip is the kind of vacation I would love to have! Food, culture, the attractions and how cheap the food is in china. (I know this reply is super late but i'm just rewatching IOI stuff)
Honestly, I'd rather go to the Shanghai trip even though I like Japanese food more. The way Wikeosangro team (I like their team name which is why I said that :P) were able to plan the trip and show it was interesting. They showed exactly how to act like a local. They were able to do so much in one day and still have time to eat at great restaurants. Wish they won

I never knew that. I'm cambodian chinese and I just eat it whenever someone at home makes it. I mean it's commonly eaten for breakfast but there's nothing wrong with eating it for lunch or dinner.
When I went to visit cambodia on EVA airlines, they had an option of chicken/beef rice porridge for breakfast also
yungtaro here in the Philippines porride is a must we call it "lugaw" we eat it in breakfast sometimes lunch sometimes dinner or when we're tired or when we just want to eat something, we even have a chocolate porridge 😂

yungtaro I think it's most common in Hong Kong and China to eat porridge on a daily don't quote me on that though from what I know being an Asian person myself Korea and Vietnam mostly only eat it when they're sick
yungtaro I can eat it anytime. Whether it's for supper dinner or lunch, not necessarily for beeakfast. My mom cooks great porridge.😛👍
The rational behind it is that it's easier to digest - nutrition wise it's an easy way to get fluids, carbs. It's more common for Chinese to just eat it whenever they want, usually lunch, but some do also fall back on eating it exclusively when they are sick (for the same reason). Not so common for breakfast (if homemade), mostly because of the time needed to make it. I guess restaurants open for breakfast help fill that niche.

lol, those are crawdads or crayfish. You can also find them in the USA, but the South especially Louisiana is famous for them. Now I know what they are called in Mandarin, xiao long xia.
Crawfish is most definitely popular in Louisiana, especially down here in the bayou. My school even has crawfish boils for us and we all pig out.

Came here from Kyulkyung and Chungha recent battle trip and I enjoyed this trip more. It seems that Kyulkyung and Chungha's closeness kind of faded away not really sure or is it just they're adults now and may have lost their playful side, also they separated for quite a while. Just hope their comeback will rekindle their good relationship as before.

i visited a few cities in china (beijing, xian, and shanghai) and there's bikes that are scattered around the town or sometimes they're all placed at a bike rack and all you have to do is use an app on your phone to unlock it and it costs like either 1 or 10 yuan. wouldn't that be easier than going to a bike rental place where you have to show your passport and sign papers? 😂😂
