No, he's a douche
@ he means he couldve won much easier and dragged out a fight that didn't need to be. He lost because he's fired for not finishing the fight
Down Hill obviously you don’t know anything about fighting. When you step foot into the octagon you want to end that fight with a K.O no matter who you are. CM pink isn’t a good fighter and Dana knew that and throughout the whole fight Mike had plenty of opportunities to end the fight and just like Dana said a couple shots to the body without using his might to end the fight. If it was any other fighter like Conor or Frankie or chad they would have ended punk in less then 10 seconds. Staying in the fight, dancing around longer and doing stupid crap is leading off to your chances on losing. No match should go to the judges card that’s why these guys train to K.O there opponents do it doesn’t have to go to the judges score card.
@@dyllock105 like every other fighting where they try to put on a show he should sue dana

Anis Vince 😂😂😂
André Alves He was being sarcastic
Punk didn't even look fit WTF? like he didn't do serious training preperation. Looks like literally agreed to take a beating for money
Alon Tuchner welll the paycheck he probably got that’s not a bad idea
He was literally involved in a massive legal battle against wwe and literally had absolutely zero time to train and prepare for the fight
Bro did you see those spin moves though?
@Connor Clark ...
He had 2 freakin years between fights to prepare are you joking!?!? I don't care if your in a legal battle how the hell would that stop you from training?!? If this is what he wanted he would have put the work in and if he did and still over the course of 3 years couldn't even move like a fighter let alone not lift his rear leg up when he threw a right hand well then my god he should never fight again. In all truth When I was training I've seen guys that have never punched a bag look better after 6 months of part time training. He just doesn't have coordination of a fighter.
“ you get this opportunity to come in and fight CM Punk”.....
Did he really just say that? Shouldn’t that shit be the other way around
The Shredder punk is a much bigger draw and brings in the big bucks. no one gives a shit about mike jackson.
But that match was in main card only because of CM punk.(I know the match shouldn't have been on the main card)
The opportunity to fight CM Punk. Is the opportunity to fight MMA with a shit ton of eyeballs on you so he should have destroyed punk and shown his skills when he had the chance
He was saying punk is a big name in the sports entertainment world. He could have knocked punk out very easily and pushed his career forward
Punk is a bigger star than Jackson idiot. He had the whole Chicago on his back. So yes, he had the chance to fight Punk
Dana was the one who wanted punk in the ufc in the first place. Punk said he wanted to start in the amateur fights but dana talked him out of it
cus Dana is smart and knew Punk would get mopped there too except no one would even see it, make money off it, or anything besides know that Punk is garbage. So ofc Dana wanted it on his show first
punk is a grown man, aint nobody hold a gun to his head and made him go right to the ufc - he told vince mcmahon to go f himself, 3 years prior, he cant tell dana the same thing? nah because his ego got him beat up

For the people who are upset that CM punk didn't go to lower promotion.
In one interview he said he wanted start from lower promotion. It's just that UFC heard that CM punk is looking for MMA match they decided to take advantage of his name and make some money of him.
He had been out of wrestling ring for almost 3 years at that point fans where dying to see him in action. So where ever he went he would have brought few eyes into the sport and to the promotion.
And if he had started of from a lower promotion and lost he wouldn't have been a draw for UFC.
Hence they stepped in offered him match. And who wouldn't say no when he you get offered around 500k per fight.
Me if that meant I could possibly die there or have serious life threatening injuries lol
True, Punk just wanted to get into MMA and UFC took advantage of him for some quick cash. While it’s true Punk’s MMA career never would’ve taken off given his age, they still should’ve at least let him start off with something way smaller rather than embarrassing himself on PPV and getting released after losing in an unwinnable position.
Punks attitude was top notch too. “I’m either going to kick someone’s ass or get my ass kicked “ guy just wanted to prove himself & he always will have my respect for that.
@@Lolpy.he fought a dude with like 3 4 fights bro they didn’t give him khabib or no one 😭😭😭stfu

Jackson took pity on CM Punk. Dana's being a little harsh.
I want a trilogy of CM Punk, 1 more ass whooping please. Only UFC fight I would pay to watch.. The Return of Cm Punk The Greatest In the World
Lol he wasn’t taking pity on him. You don’t become a professional fighter that hurts people if you have an issue with hurting people. He was carrying CM Punk for some reason and it made UFC look ridiculous. Looked like someone told him to do it which causes serious credibility issues that have plagued MMA from day one. Dana has every right to get upset.
Took pity by trying to embarrass him? You’re a little confused
@@e2go Dumbest comment award right here. Divisions and rules exist for a reason, people aren't trying to get seriously hurt, they're trying to win decisively. Dana was the clown that matched up a total amateur with an actual fighter, that's on him but he doesn't want to take the blame. MMA isn't about punching down and beating up defenseless people, if you think it is you're nothing more than a pathetic scumbag.
Nah he was just being cocky. He didn’t even really care about becoming a fighter, it’s why he started so late.
I laughed hard at this. But a good result overall. CM Punk showed not much skill but great heart, Mike Jackson mucked around but it was an entertaining from my perspective
Daniel Shnier It was awesome. It was actually my second most anticipated fight on the card behind the main event.

Doesn't work like that: those people are performers. It's not about your ego. WHenever you step in a ring, you've gotta put a show - by doing your best. If you don't do your best and just fool around, you're dishonest.
@@decespugliatorenucleare3780 they messed up by letting CM punk fight in general. I assume Mike felt disrespected by the lack of skill of his competitor and just toyed with him. But the reason this was so infuriating for Dana was obviously about money. It was a ppv main event fight and it was bad. Mike should have knocked him out early. Even if punk was a cash grab it would have been a statement saying this shouldn't happen. Instead Mike drug the fight out and it was bad. Terrible exposure for the sport

I know it's all very well in hindsight, but I remember watching CM Punk in the WWE and always thinking that any average Joe could probably take this guy.
Facts he was (Nothing) compared to the WWE champs of the past!! Not even close, NO BUZZ WHATSOEVER!!!!!! BORING CHAMP!!
CM it's a showman, I like him in WWE and he is an amazing guy, but he's not a fighter. He tried, hard, but it's too old to start in UFC
He was a talker like rock
He was always garbage, always over rated, and now will always be a loser.
The guy was stoned and Phil still couldn't beat him!
Instead of shitting on Mike, this dude Dana needs to admit that he put a fucked up match on PPV. Everyone makes mistakes man. Just admit it and move on. Don't blame Mike. Blame yourself for putting it together. Don't shit on Mike just because he exposed the fact that you'd sometimes make match ups only because they drew big crowds and not because the fighters were talented.
Mike Jackson didn't seem like he was milking TV time. I think he was confused on why the fight wasn't stopped. Dana White created a publicity stunt that Jackson was unfortunate to be apart of
My Punching bag also shows lot of heart..😜
Lol
Joe just has to be nice. Lmao
One has every right to toy, maul, punch or do whatever within the rules to his opponent.
If one has moral issues like Dana, he shouldn't have let Punk compete.
Mike did not break any rules, but showed the reality.
I am with Mike 100%. He shouldn't have been fired.
He thought everyone would think he looked awesome and he would catch on with his cocky goofball persona. Unfortunately that shit onlu works when you're legit and not so much when you're 0 wins 1 loss. If he had been at least humble he probably would have got 1 more but he blew it due to having no awareness.
Nah bro thats just foul to extend a beatdown 5+ minutes longer all the while embarassing and disrespecting your opponent. In a sport where 2 people beat each other to a bloody pulp, having respect for your opponent keeps it tasteful. I felt sick watching a 40 year old with man titties get toyed with by a fighter obviously 20 leagues above his level. It just felt wrong. Like watching your uncle get his ass beat outside red robin in broad daylight you just dont wanna see that
Exactly.
So in a few words, from Jackson's perspective this was like a gladiator fighting Commodus in the arena

Dan white should be the one done with the ufc. look how many fighters hate the way he does buisness
that's really true. No arguing there. Guy is not a good representation of MMA.
@ Dana made the ufc what it is..before him it was only allowed to happen in certain States and hardly ever televised he's the one who made it to what it is today what are you guys talking about?
S Jersey why don’t fighters like him
@@cesargalvez8432They do that because he knows how to do business and treats them like entertainers but he also is the reason why they are paid so heavily and are safe. I'm not saying he's a saint but he's the reason why they are paid as much as they are and are safer.
Mma is ass anyway. I only stop by to watch Lashley, Lesnar, and Punk. If you want some good legitimate fights where opponents don't waste most of their time going in circle, I'd highly recommend Glory Kickboxing.
i dont agree with that at all. Mike Jackson probably was trying to hurt him to bad, because he obviously felt Punk was way out of his depth. Im not sure he should be penalized for that.
He dragged out a fight unnecessarily
No he didnt. He held back.
@@kingoftheotsutsuki5486 Exactly. That's something you're not supposed to do
Not to mention, because MJ held back instead of finishing him quickly, he gave CM Punk so much unnecessary damage by dragging it out to beat him badly. While I get MJ wanted to make Punk look good and put him over, thats shit you do in the WWE, not UFC. Its also disrespectful to toy with a person like how he did. Punk showed alot of heart and was essentially giving it everything he had though having no chance, meanwhile Jackson is clearing fucking around with him in the cage. Its insulting to the man's character and its a poor show of sportlike conduct. Very unprofessional.
Punk looked like a second player wrestler on a video game where u just let the controller sit and you take the other one to beat the shit outta him

Seriously that makes no sense. Jackson toyed with Punk, made him look like a total beginner, prolonged the fight to show how dominant he is, and that's somehow equivalent to losing the fight? I get the whole sportsmanlike conduct, but seriously, what kinda comment is that?
Mike jackson was toying with punk, it just made dana white look like an idiot for putting a guy like punk who has no idea wht hes doing inside to his sport ,mike jackson exposed the circus p.r act of cm punk and he gets blamed amd fired cause making ol dana ufc look bad

its not just how dana wants him to its how the audience would like him to especially when people are paying 60 + USD for ppv. How do you think people who go watch it live feel? The main thing is everyone knew he could have ended the fight but instead he prolonged the fight, acting stupid on the ground, smirking and shit...
Everyone knows dana isn't a fan of that crap. I mean during anderson silvas days when he was the bigges name in the world, he HATED anderson silva did that shit. It's no secret he isn't a fan of disrespectful stuff like that.

Merahki tell dana to fight himself if he wants to deliver should have thought better putting punk on ppv ... that shit was predictable
DuraStop would like to say your wrong, but I think the same, punk should have trained longer and started lower then straight into ppv matches for his first 2 fights. He needed more experience under his belt first

Dana's argument is stupid.
Mike had every right to toy with Punk. If Dana had soft spot for Punk, he shouldn't have let him enter octagon.
Besides Punk was an idiot too for not understanding the depth of this sports and thinking he will make it.
Amateurs never beat professionals. Period.
Mike could've pretended he was struggling fighting CM Punk instead of making it obvious that he was toying with him. Like in WWE he could've tried to sell it.
I can't tell if Dana got sunburn or he's just mad
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t a fan of CM Punk back then, but Atleast he tried to move to the big leagues. I’m a karate and jiujitsu guy and maybe he should’ve trained harder and longer to be really prepared. He showed heart no doubt but UFC is it real deal and there are hundreds of fighters who trained longer, harder and a lot more disciplines of martial arts that’s why it’s called “MIXED MARTIAL ARTS”
I think someone said not to finish CM. They prob both made their biggest life pay outs and did whatever was told to be done.
Jackson destroyed Dana.
That fight was gross.
Meanwhile, They'll let McGregor will be let back in lol.
Jackson was PAID by WWE's Vince McMahon to beat punk for the full 3 rounds. This was Vinces way to get back at PUNK for the grief he had caused when he left WEE and the recent lawsuit that went in Punks favor. Jackson knew what he was doing and must've been paid well. Jackson knew by doing it he would be fired from UFC hence his after fight interviews saying he will box Zuffa and other things etc.
