Sweet Georgia Brown ist ein MUSS für alle Gypsy Jazz Fans. Nachdem es schon ein Nr. 1 Hit war, kam es bei der Pariser Weltausstellung am 28. April 1937 zu einer erneuten Reincarnation dieses Klassikers rund um eine All Star Jazz Band, wo auch Gypsy King Django Reinhardt seine Handschrift beitrug.

Joscho has the best chromatic runs since Django. Overall absolutely monstrous chops and great lines too. His ability to immediately answer Schäfer's licks was incredible. Needless to say Schäfer was amazing as well, such inventive lines and lyricism. Rhythm section rock solid too. What a performance.

Joscho improves a lot, he's tired of showing off proving his virtuosity and being technical player, I didn't hear any of his usual arpeggios for this tune, he's completely a MUSICIAN now.
I think 10-15 years ago his playing style was different, it's all about showing off and playing fast.
A lot of zip on this one. Great vibe and a quick swing tempo. Fantastic performance by all. Thanks also to Paulus for joining in on this fabulous interpretation by Joscho and the gang.Those ripping leads by Joscho and Paulus are definitely from another plane called awesome.
Lost for words............. perhaps just one, Superb.
Given the price of electric these days, I'm surprised to see that Paulus left his tuner on!
