I like Joanna’s designs, but I love McGee’s casual, elegant designs because they aren’t as fussy. Lots of designers seem to overfill spaces and they’re just too cluttered for me. Side note, I also hope to never see another word stuck on a wall.

Beautiful pared down luxury, my only caveat...I've bought antique versions of chairs with wicker and a Bergere sofa. I've found it degrades and weakens over time. I've been left with beautiful chairs with busted out seats! Not for children and their sharp knees:). Mind you, good cushions can save them from the rigours of family life.
I think the antique chairs have dried out with time and normal wear and tear. They can be recaned though! These new ones she has are a different material and I suspect more durable.
You're right about that but getting it redone would be very expensive. I bought the chairs in flea markets etc. I love the look so I hope some modern technology is used to increase durability.

Yes, sometimes ... design can seem 'formula-ish'...but one can take away, all the basic tips and rules and ideas...then make it your own in your own home, by adding unique to you touches etc....beautiful h ome!
Oooh...I received my catalog yesterday, and I studied every page for ages picking out the things I want for our new retirement home! We’re leaving the East coast on December 27th and will arrive in AZ the first week of January. I’m going to need several things from McGee & Co, and it’s going to be a blast deciding on what they will be-Christmas may come in the first weeks of January, and that will be perfectly fine with me!! Now for how I feel about your new home-it’s truly more beautiful than I could possibly have imagined!! It’s so elegant and pretty-each room revealed was better than the one before! Your floors are lovely, your bedroom is stunning, your living room is gorgeous, etc, etc. I can’t wait to see the rest of it, and I hope for y’all to have many memories made within its walls! I love love love that white couch but even if its kid and spill-proof my worry is dinge, that is coloring that comes off of clothes or dirt off the dogs paws and lord knows what else..it doesn't clean like just a spill...man I want that couch!! Great esthetic and Video thank you
