Yes it’s 2020 and I’m still gonna make an AMV of these two, goddamn it.
And even though I have no right to say this as the editor myself; it was fun seeing Izaya suffering XDD
- I actually never realized how popular the ship Shizaya is in the anime community. Not that I hate such idea, but the pairing throws me off so much since I’m pretty sure their sexual tension is based on nothing but knives and vending machines throwing lol. I can’t say I like the thought of them together as much as most people, with Shizuo’s personality differing from Izaya’s on a whole new level. They’re bound to be one messed up and toxic couple for sure. Some folks compare them to Soukoku, but I can at least see how Chuuya and Dazai might get along (I mean, they DO care about each other after all.)- these two tho? Hell nahhh.
But. But, but, but---This song. This. Song. Especially this COVER. Fits them so freakin’ much. When I first heard it I knew immediately I had to vid Shizaya-- and not with my usual editing style, but like, an actual AMV one. I honestly dunno how to explain the peculiar hunch since it just happened out of the blue, but this song felt right for them. And an AMV is exactly what I wanted.
Soooo yeah, for some of you who had followed this channel for a fairly long time, don’t worry; this video is just an exception. I’ll go back to my old style on the next upload (which is a little vidlet for one of my favorite film of 2019, stay in tune ;)))

(oh gee, thats a decade right there.) and im just as surprised (and happy ofcourse!) to see that people are still making videos of them. Yeah the whole hating-the-others-guts-yet-instead-of-avoiding-eachother-like-most-people-would-making-an-effort-to-always-be-getting-in-the-others-way-and-seeking-eahother-out-just-to-pick-a-fight deal is really something haha.

@Adeline Carney as for Shizaya well... ANY couple out there in this anime (or manga). Even if cannon like Celty and Shinra- how obssesive you can actually be in your realationship, huh? I think that every aspect of this anime even if true in colors (no flashy hair or eyes mostly plain wear that might pass for clothes or characters we pass on the street) make the whole story exaggerated. Put it in to extremes.
And what I like about the fandom is how people try to find a reason WHY it would work (lol especially fanfiction). It's not plain "oh they're lovley-dovley and we work on that" but what made them change (like peaceful life that Shizuo wanted would not work for him with Izaya involved or not- he still would lose his tempter, he's losing it every time at his work - even previous ones, just blaming someone instead of yourself is always easier) or what made them do it (like Izaya's being rejected on spot while not having an experience of rejection). On the other hand it makes a story interesting and most of the time people do research on various topics on psychology, myths, medicine etc.
Oh wow! I wrote a lot- I am not anime fan so it's one of few I watched and liked. My taste is quite peculiar- I like when it's something that might be almost touched and not too far from the reality and while being in Ikebukuro and seeing the same exact places oooh boy, you can fangirl all you want that you're in the same exact place that you're favorite characters were standing :D
The only sad thing was the changed between the studios - I don't like how at some point the details have not been worked out as in the 1st season
