You can pick 2 of your move. Use Bastiodon as a pretentious attacker to bait out a dangerous mon, and switch out to feign the opponent as a weak mon. So the next time you switch in Bastiodon as safe as possible for Sturdy, if possible, use Iron Defense and then bait out an attack and surprise it with Metal Burst!

@@JustWeavile And use Healing Wish to fully heal Bastiodon if done safely. I believe it dies to hazards before getting Healing Wish
Note: Make use of the Healing Wish mon as an attacker, and carry Custap Berry (and Endure if possible) so you can be the first to use Healing Wish. Too much info, sorry

Pair the moth with skowking for chilly reception and the build should be 252 hp 252 def and 4 in spdef...held item leftovers with the half damaging ability... Moveset is quiver dance bug buzz ice beam n terra blast with terra poison

Clear amulet quiver dance ice scales. modest frost moth max special attack and 80% in defense and 20% in defense with snow field. Got good results 😑 careful with taunt users
Moves ice beam, giga drain , quiver dance, bug buzz Tera water just for a defensive play

To be honest, I don't even want to continue attempting to make strong teams in Violet and Scarlet because the game are so bad but it's fun watching these battles
I just use mons I think are cool, I find casual play is more fun for me
