I enjoyed that but I did feel for the cameraman who had to walk backwards for half an hour :)

Accidentally found this. We in the US need to watch this, given what is happening in our primary elections. Perhaps a lesson learned on how we got to where we are in this period of our political elections and why we are voting and acting the way we are.

This is my thought as well. It's three years on and nothing has changed for the better. We're even more at one another's throats than we were before.

And 7 years later we are in an even worse situation. What stood out to me was Owen's comment about if you dare to speak out against the system and wanting a fairer society then you are labelled a communist, reminds me of what the media did to Jeremy Corbyn

The media has so much to answer for, smearing Jeremy while scapegoating, fear mongering and hate fuelling has torn our political system apart. And its just snowballing.

and rightly so, Corbyn is a nasty piece of work as is Owen Jones and this hobbit looking jackass

That is so good Michael sounds so normal.
He is not a actor.... a normal man.......cool.....I found so good......That's what makes him sympathetic. I love it so......I like him more and more.......

It's so interesting to me that he brings up hope. My mind immediately went to start wars, and I honestly think it connects back to what he was saying. I definitely feel scared to talk about politics in the real world, but the politics of the galactic republic and the separatist movement? Oh yeah baby. It's definitely a lot of what he's talking about here, we need to hope in our own world, and maybe we will get something done. I think that especially in the US people are either terrified of talking or they are extremely angry, and that's on both sides.

Why is the history of Wales not taught as compulsory subject in ALL Welsh schools today in 2015 ? At least from the past from 1801.

Only 0.7% of the benefit budget lost to fraud. And how much benefit entitlement remains unclaimed or wrongfully withheld?

Absolutely love this. And unfortunately has not aged. Will not do it until we get the courage to change things from the base of society to the elites.

SO many good points, so many things that really only the in-work poor can understand, so much waste of lives and livelihoods, I really want EVERYONE to watch, listen and take on board this stuff. Who for example NEEDS more than £1million to live a really comfortable life while gazillionaires are stashing away many times that and evading or avoiding their duty to support and help by their taxes those worse off who never had the same opportunities. And before anyone rants about benefit fraud and laziness - 0.7% of benefits are fraudulently obtained, and even with benefits the Food Banks are rushed off their feet. How on earth did we come to this? The gap got wider under New Labour and anyone who seeks to bridge the gap and make change is hounded and trashed by the right wing press. Power is indeed in the hands of the few with money, but anger can't be sustained, it is too damaging and turns instead to acceptance

Feels more like a scripted drama than an interview. Was this really an interview. They seem to know what they're going to say ahead of time. Well, either way, it's nice to come across an intelligent dialogue, something we rarely if ever get anymore.

Chris Hedges warns against 'hope'. Of course we have hope or we would all die in bed. But treat hope as another imposter, able to sap your anger and your judgement.

Gwyn Williams: I wonder how important a part is played by simple snobbery. I cite the case of two now elderly widows, whose families originate in the SW valleys, who live on the Vale of Glamorgan coast, (now a safe Tory seat) with a view of the estuary. They own their own homes, bought with income earned in the state sector, by both themselves and their late husbands. Like many others of their ilk, they think themselves superior to working class people, especially the shiftless unemployed. Or is snobbery an inevitable product of a brainwashed and individualistic consumer culture ?.
