Pearl in my opinion is the coolest female video game character I've seen that I like.
And then Pearl crushed everyone in the final direct and Splatoon 3 was created in her honor.
I distinctly remember thinking that Pearl and Marina had like, the ugliest designs EVER when I first saw them, like, I actually couldn't believe what I was seeing. Nowdays I think they look fine, honestly I'm not sure if I just got used to them at this point or if I was just mad that they were going to replace the squid sisters back then.

Btw chara, the "lofi salmon run song" Is an actual song it's called salmon run tutorial and is my favorite salmon run song because of the hella chill beat. Also fun fact the strumming at the beginning is done on a chello, you can see them recording it in the splatoon music bts video.
It’s a mellow version of Deluge Dirge for the tutorial. Personally not my favorite but you can’t really go wrong with any of splatoon’s music

I've said elsewhere that I think it would be hilarious if the Splatsvillle Ammo Knights was run by Sheldon's "cousin" who visually was just Sheldon with an exaggerated addition like a bow or a mustache.
Also I had no idea about the skip feature for Sheldon when I got the game, so when I stumbled on it I seriously broke down laughing!
Sheldon's cousin: Shmeldon. They'd be tall like SpongeBob's cousin Stanley.

I would like to point out the fact that this inkling had a full ink tank and still ran into enemy ink, getting killed by the autobomb. But like apart from that and the audio stuff (which may have just been your computer or UA-cam) this was a lot better compared to 1’s direct.
Plus they play an inkling boy audio clip when they die

This must be how normal people feel seeing freaks like me on Tumblr talking about blorbo from my shows and the skrunkly meow meows. I love language especially when it sounds like nonsense 💖
To be fair bomb launchers are different since they unlike rush, they don't charge special for bombs that explode after it ends, and, one thing people overlook!
Bomb Launchers fire from the left side, whereas all inklings and octolings are right handed, this means you can't peek with launchers the same way you can with a charger- well, you can! But you'd need a different wall, it's something to keep in mind!
And bomb rush lets you spam whatever your normal sub weapon is, whereas launcher lets you use a different type of bomb
3:41 I like the "flipbrush" concept from Project Splatoon 3, but I think it could work better if you use firing mode by holding zr to get (not quite) but close to splattershot pro range and flicking by spamming zr.

I will never forget opening gambit sub ability.
The reason I think why Sheldon doesn’t have anything new to him is because he’s a Horseshoe Crab. Those haven’t evolved for thousands of years, so it would make sense why he’s just stayed the same for the whole trilogy(besides slight clothing variations). If that’s the case, I think it was really clever, considering I didn’t even think of that until 3.
At 5:12, when the inkling girl gets splatted by the autobomb, you hear the inkling’s boy’s voice instead of the inkling girl’s voice.

Something interesting about them showing the king flip mesh with cbk when showcasing splatnet 2. Even though that was what they showed in the direct. It wasn’t until a few months ago that it had never been seen on splatnet. So I always laugh at that given it took 4 years to finally be released

So I never played Splatoon 2, jumped on the franchise with 3, and it's wild seeing some of this with the context of having played 3 so much. A lot that is very familiar and then I get to the Salmon Run and with saying it needed more attention, well, it got it IMO. Salmon Run is my favorite mode.

Guys, I'm trying to get into splatoon, but I don't understand how I get to upgrade the stuff on our gear, do I have to do that salmon run stuff or can I get then by just playing matches?
you can get sub abilities by playing through the online. Doing salmon run will give you gear with a chance of having some of the abilities filled out already. hope this helps
You can gain abilities on gear by playing matches with said gear.
For ability chunks, you can gain those either by scrubbing or rolling a piece of gear, or by winning rewards in Salmon Run.

I wouldn't call the Echo Locator sound being the Wall sound as a mistake. It might've been a placeholder sound as the game was developed. Somethings don't take immediate priority, and since the game likely had a deadline to meet for the direct, they didn't make a sound for it, or did and forgot to put it in at that point, or did know but it wasn't high up on the list of things needed at the time.
point sensor sfx is the same as 1 so its definitely a mistake, autobomb potentially worked ok with the sensor clip though
@@ProChara Maybe the changed it because they thought the new sound was better initially but went back on it later? I dunno, feels big to call a sound swap a mistake.

They meant 2 years since the first game
Splatoon 2 is basically the Silent Hill 2/Street Fighter 2 of the franchise because it put Nintendo new IP on the map with over 10 million sales so yes it aged extremely well. Also this is in my top 5 favorite games of all time with fun and unique gameplay, very rich lore to learn, a God Tier aesthetics with a mix of Japanese Pop and Akira influence. Plus most importantly the character designs are S++ Tier not to mention Marina and Pearl (IMO) are probably the best female characters I've seen in video games. Nevertheless Splatoon is here to stay after 7 years since its day view on the Wii U.
