- The Sam Houston National Forest Cagle Recreation Area has two camping loops both with full hookup campsites. In this video, I provide a walking tour of the Cagle Recreation Area within the Sam Houston National Forest in Texas. I show you campground amenities and the best campsites in the video. Cagle Recreation Area offers affordable RV camping with direct access to Lake Conroe. Verizon cellular service clocked in at 1.67 Mbps download speed and 0.05 Mbps upload speed. $30 for full hookups is not bad at all. Interesting to me that they spent all that money to pave, etc and they did not make the effort to level out most of the sites. Thanks for the video.
Love these videos as they are evergreen and we know when we travel where to go back and look for reviews of places to go. This is very nice campground and hard to believe it is a full hook up for the that price. Naughty, naughty, pulling out and leaving a campfire going. 🔥Mary 💕Fred

Nice campground! Looks very cozy. I like campgrounds that look like that. There were quite a few campers there also. What a nice looking fishing lake! Love the Spanish moss hanging off the tree's! and the wide leaf palm plants. Oooo, didnt like seeing where someone left their fire smoking...I thought you had to water your fire down and be sure it is totally out ?! Nice video Lou! vicky

Not in this recreation area, but there is some free camping in this national forest. Alas, I just didn't have time to hunt down those campsites on this trip, but rest assured that is on my to do list the next time through the area. Lou
I appreciate your opinions on everything, but I’ve never been not able to get my rig level, may have to use multiple boards, but never have I’ve been not able to get my rig level. That includes state parks, county parks, national parks, Boondocking etc.
Auto-level is a different creature. No boards involved, but if the grade is too steep or if any of the pistons run out of stroke the auto-level reset procedure is a real bitch. Lou
