I think with a show like Game of Thrones you can't be sure someone is dead until you see blood shooting out their mouth which is why I am still supiciuos of Syrio and The Hound (though I hope the Hound is dead)

I saw it accidentally and left the comment :) Arya's story is based on Death and the Maiden motive and there's no way she will end up with Gendry. If they go for it in the show it's pure D&D fanfiction. In the book Gendry is the symbol of betrayal and he's a coward, Jaqen is the one who kept his promise and kept Arya safe. And she never forgets who she is book or show. She is Arya, they just teach her how to hide her identity because there are far too many enemies out there who want to hurt her. Jaqen called her My Lady of Stark and this is some serious foreshadowing :)
