After watching this video, I have a question, how easy is it to open the emergency door for any mentally unwell person? If the plane has already landed and people were leaving, this is the one moment, if the plane was preparing for takeoff, this is a completely different situation, this plane will be delayed for several hours for an inside’s inspection. All other passengers will miss their connecting flights. If so she should go to jail. Sometimes people cannot lose their connecting flights because they simply don’t have the money for another ticket, or this was a very important flight which should be at a specific time.
In this instance the plane had landed and passengers were already getting off the plane, she apparently had some type of panic attack. As for your other questions, not a single flight anywhere is "guaranteed" and if you miss a connection because of something like this then you do not pay for another flight, the airline re-books you on the next available flight. As for needing to be somewhere at a specific time, that is on the traveller, weather, mechanical issues, (panic attacked passenger), dozens of things can cause a flight to be delayed or cancelled, if you absolutely have to be somewhere at a specific time go early.

I don't understand why the majority of these kinds of airplane outbursts and weird behavior are American. Somehow I barely see and hear any news from outside the country.
I can understand having anxiety on a flight. I almost had a panic attack during a flight. I don't know if that's what she was having, but what she did wasn't right.
Panic attacks can make you feel like you are suffocating and all you can do is get out of wherever you are, usually to fresh air. If truly just anxiety, I feel bad for her. She probably thought she could do it and panicked. If you've had a panic attack, you can relate. If you haven't, just stuff it.
She shouldn’t be flying then. She’s too much of a risk to those around her, especially in a confined space. What if she had her attack while in flight?
So from what I understand she was supposed to be at the emergency exit door middle seat but would not move from the windows seat for some reason? Which caused a small argument which all led to this.
If that is what happened, I hope they charge her and give her a lifetime ban. The people who wanted to get on that plane and the airline suddenly have it as their problem now with the plane out of commission for her opening the emergency door and walking on the wing.
Then if she is prone to panic take some self-responsibility and don’t fly. All she did was make it the problem of those leaving the aircraft, the airline and the people waiting to board who then couldn’t and had their flights cancelled or delayed. I hope they charged her and out her on the ‘no fly’ list for all airlines.
Airlines should start getting ppl to fill out evaluation questionnaires before boarding, people who knows they suffer from anxieties and flight phobias shouldn’t be boarding aircrafts so nonchalantly
That's got to be a "no fly" for years with TSA. What an absolute joke. She should run for Congress; they also believe fire exits are things to be played with.
I understand having anxiety because I deal with it all the time. However, there are still consequences for ridiculous and unsafe actions. If she was feeling that way she could have alerted a flight attendant or called or text someone for help
Not everything is about her. If she knew she was anxious then she can take some self-responsibility and not fly. Anxiety doesn’t give her the right to make it the airline’s problem or the hundred of other people who were going to get on that plane and couldn’t with it then being out of commission.
Dunque è ormai assodato... Chiunque può aprire facilmente la porta di emergenza di un aereo... Nella mia ignoranza ho sempre creduto che fosse possibile solo da parte del personale di servizio...
Sure, she's supposed to wait for the cabin crew to open the door, or say to open the doo. But.. why? (orderely exit?) Note she has her carryon luggage with her. That takes time to get. Nobody reports if the cabin crew where able to demand abeyance. Is she going to banned from flying, for not waiting?
She’s been in a fight or flight mode, she’s seen a way out and took it. People who are that frightened don’t think straight. Maybe she thought she had her fear under control when she boarded
Not when you can step out onto a wing. A slide from an exit door there would only sit on the wing. LOL… You have to jump off the wing, no rope ladders or safety nets to catch you.
Considering that's a food service vehicle at the back of the plane, it's typically not a time passengers should even be on the plane....why's she even there, much less having a crisis moment?
She's going to be really anxious when she sees the bill for this.
She will probably sue the airline for mental anguish and win.
On top of that TSA and Seattle police will have issued a ticket.

Oh boy, your problems have no right to affect others. Selfish behavior.
She shouldn’t be flying then. She’s too much of a risk to those around her, especially in a confined space. What if she had her attack while in flight?
Why didn’t she exit the plane the normal way like everyone else then? It said everyone left except her.
Hope she was banned FOREVER!
Ridiculous
WTH did it take so long for a crew member to get out there? And why is another non-crew member wandering around on the ground!?
Once she exited the plane, it's a Port of Seattle Police Department issue.
Does anyone else notice that video descriptions are greyed out to the point of being illegible?
Some folks don’t have sense enough to pour piss out of a boot, with instructions printed in the sole!
There was no need to open the emergency exit. If she was freaking out, they would have removed her.
Probably a panic attack, especially after seeing 2 airlines crash back to back this week
When aversion therapy fails badly
Airlines should start getting ppl to fill out evaluation questionnaires before boarding, people who knows they suffer from anxieties and flight phobias shouldn’t be boarding aircrafts so nonchalantly
Some people are not aware they may have a problem until they're on board, especially first timers. Bit freaky, man.
She'll be taking the bus and trains for the rest of her life
I’m just happy she didn’t try to
Open the exit mid flight ✈️
Well I guess we should be very thankful that she did not open the door while it was still in the air.
Funny how no one on the ground didn't spot her for several minutes. Give stewardess a raise for acting also as a therapist. LoL
Do you think she’ll be charged?
This is in Seattle. She won't be charged, she'll be awarded a lawsuit against the airline!
Nah
I’m sure she was met in the terminal by hordes of ambulance chasing lawyers. She’ll sue the airline for mental anguish and win.
Depends on her race
She must have forgotten her emotional support animal.
Some people will do ANYTHING to go viral.
jesli ktoś robi coś głupiego , to na pewno baba. To niestety reguła. W psychiatryku będzie mieć lepiej.
Or if she knew she was prone to it -
Take the bus, train or drive herself and if it is they bad, stay home.
I see people here don’t know how anxiety can affect a person pray you never have deal with it .
they dont care
Not everything is about her. If she knew she was anxious then she can take some self-responsibility and not fly. Anxiety doesn’t give her the right to make it the airline’s problem or the hundred of other people who were going to get on that plane and couldn’t with it then being out of commission.
Dunque è ormai assodato... Chiunque può aprire facilmente la porta di emergenza di un aereo...
Nella mia ignoranza ho sempre creduto che fosse possibile solo da parte del personale di servizio...
Can you imagine if she did this while in the air!?!? 😳😳😳😳😳
Por tumultuar.
She needs to be on no fly list for all airlines if she is that troubled, what if she did it in the air!
I am shocked at how badly this incident is handled! The wasted time, why wasn't she immediately removed, tapered, had her luggage removed etc...😮
Looks like she jumped off the wing!! Possibly her first time flying!!!
She’s been in a fight or flight mode, she’s seen a way out and took it. People who are that frightened don’t think straight. Maybe she thought she had her fear under control when she boarded
There was a cryptid person on the plane, she got freaked out, when the guy blinked his eyes sideways.
So she couldn't just stand up and walk off the plane with everyone else?
I have panic disorder but i never done such act when on plane or any transportation.
She must have been freaking out, man. "Mel-low, mel-low, mel-low. There, feels better now, don't it?"
one year in the gulag...
What's gulag?
@@notanindianscammer7594 What's a gulag? OY!
@@notanindianscammer7594 I’m thinking jail
Judges will find she is not a threat to the public. Give her a warning not to fly for a week.
@@MegaTriumph1‘no fly’ list permanently
If you cannot handle flying, don't fly. Or ask your doctor to give you one tablet of anxiety medication for the flight.
I can unfortunately understand after seeing 4 fatal crashes in just 5 days back to back.
What psychological diagnosis is she suffering from?
I thought emergency exits blew a slide?
Not when you can step out onto a wing. A slide from an exit door there would only sit on the wing. LOL… You have to jump off the wing, no rope ladders or safety nets to catch you.
Different aircraft
At least the emergency exit door works as designed.
Considering that's a food service vehicle at the back of the plane, it's typically not a time passengers should even be on the plane....why's she even there, much less having a crisis moment?
Some hard-hitting journalism there.
