- 7 years after the hit PBS Kids show ended, Becky Botsford is a senior in high school and has given up her crime fighting days from years past. But when a new threat arises and plans to take over the city, Becky has to make the choice as to don the cowl once more, or let evil take over the city once and for all.

Maybe not quite the direction I foresaw a made a fan-made film being taken, but I can greatly respect the effort and love put in the project.

Alright, time to clear up the hate. Please read before commenting "This was such a bad film cuz *SPOILER* isn't a villain".
WE MADE SUPER WHY A VILLIAN BECAUSE:
a) It was an original take on a former PBS Kids show and since it took place after the show ended, we wanted it to be a new story, not the same "former villain to be stopped again" rehash plot that so many movies have done throughout the years.
b) I grew up watching the two shows and I've always wondered what would happen if they fought. This movie IS a fan film and IS NOT canon.

great film! the editing and acting was pretty impressive
that ending scene though 👀 i assume if you all make a new film it will be with that character? if not that’s fine, i understand how hard filming can be and how long it can take

Will there be a sequel to this? I would like to see where you go with this storyline and see if you bring any of the Wordgirl villains or any other PBS Kids characters. Along to see a resolution of the cliffhanger and see what is the next step, maybe even having Tobey redeems and teams up with Wordgirl or something. It would be cool if you did something more with it.

@@Paige-ge Hey, yeah no worries! I'll break it down for you!
We used a red reflective jumpsuit we found at a local costume shop. It was honestly a one in a million find, the shop I bought it at closed down weeks later. The logo is entirely custom (just made with fabric) and then the yellow cape/belt were from party city. Honestly, if you search around thrift shops and online I bet you'll find something.

This was a good film. I enjoyed it. I just don't know why you made Super Why a villain for. I think the Hacker or someone who's already a villain would have been better. Still, this was well done. Nice job.

Thanks man! Truth is, I made Super Why the main villain because #1: I didn't want to copy old Wordgirl episodes by bringing in former villains to "be stopped again" because I felt that the plot would have been more interesting if it was a hero-turned-villain. And #2, I grew up watching both series, and always wondered what would happened if the two of them fought.
If we're being real, the reason why he's the villain is because I wanted him to be. Simple as that.
