Loved this video Chloe. How lovely that you are so close to your mum, and I am delighted you have a four legged friend, like me. Such an adventure! So pleased I subscribed to your channel.
Thank you for such a lovely comment Lynn! It's so wonderful to have a dog, isn't it. They enrich life immeasurably. What breed do you have, and what is their name? I am delighted to have you here, thank you for joining me :)
Hi Chloe. I completely agree with your words. I decided a long time ago that if I got the opportunity & the weather then I would travel to walk in the Lake District even if I was at work the next day. It just means I'm tired & sore at work instead of home ! Ideally it's nice when I have the next day off too but as you rightly say we shouldn't worry about that & pass up an opportunity. Work to live not the other way around. Precious time with your Mum & I bet she absolutely loves it. Buddy seemed to love being a UA-cam star too. Take care in the heat this week mate xx
I love that idea, you must have had so many wonderful experiences and memories since making that decision. If you're going to be tired and sore, it might as well be at work after an amazing time in the Lakes! She really does - I feel very lucky that she enjoys the outdoor adventures as much as I do, getting to spend time with a loved one in the outdoors always seems to make you feel even more connected. Buddy knows how to play the camera for sure, it's a dog's special skill I reckon! You too Michael, and thank you for all your support :) x
Dear Chloe! What a blessing to get two wild camps with such a short time apart!! This one looked so lovely too, with your mom and ADORABLE dog!! I love what you said about not liking having to wait for weekends or days off to enjoy your life. Enjoying our lives should be one of our highest priorities. That tree is absolutely magical and I love that ''spooky'' night shot your mom took haha sorry about the tea though! The beach and ocean footage was beautiful too, it looked so free and I love your spirit and heart for adventure, making the time for it and cherishing each moment. Beautiful video! Truly! And happy belated birthday to you mom!
Thank you for your birthday wishes to my Mum, she passes on her thank yous to you! I couldn't agree more... I've always wanted to make 'life' my main priority but it hasn't been until recently that I've truly been living that way rather than thinking that way. What a difference it makes! (it even makes up for forgetting the tea!)
Good morning Chloe and happy Sunday. Oh how lovely. I really enjoyed this video today. Please give my regards to your lovely mom and wish her a happy belated birthday from me. This looked like a super lovely few days with your mom and doggie. Honestly it was a pleasure to watch. Yes it seems we are always waiting, waiting for the right time or place. We are just constantly waiting. Its very sad really when we think of it like this. We're so busy with the mundane of daily life we have to do and we forget to live. Most of us do live to work as it supports our daily life. We forget to actually live our life. Beautiful video and sentiment. Have a great new week. x
I have passed on your well wishes, and she says to say a big thank you back to you! I am so glad you enjoyed watching it, as it really was a special couple of days to me. It feels quite special to be able to share it with you. You are right... it is very sad. Even for those that recognise it, being able to take the action to escape it can be even harder than the realisation itself. I am finding that the more time I make for 'life', the easier it becomes. Thank you, as always, for watching Joanne, it's lovely to hear from you. Have a lovely week (and stay cool in this heatl!)x
A switch has definitely clicked in my mind... I'm hooked! I am rather fortunate that it has timed up with warm and dry weather as I don't really have good camping gear, but you don't need much/anything 'good' in heat like this. Thank you Mark! Have a lovely week :)
It's still full of all the normal mundane things and struggles too... but I feel very lucky that I also often have moments and memories like these :) Thank you for taking the time to watch!
Great video Chloe, your doing very well and happy for you, great content, nailed it again, I'm in the process of learning some new software before my new one goes up, fishing is hard at the moment due to lack of rain, but still smiling all the best..Clive.
Thank you Clive! What software are you learning, is this a new editing software? I can imagine...hopefully the weather breaks soon, and in the meantime, stay safe in this heat!
@@ChloeRoseHarrison I will let you know later as my son sorting it out, but my old software far to slow, so a learning process, should not take long, it's to hot now, we need rain 😀
Hey Chloe, look at you with 2 wild camps in a week, I’ve got a lab to, he’s 6 months old and called Ted !! Funny you mention the whistle on the bag, when I bought my osprey back I knew it came with a whistle but could t find it, so I bought one to attach to my bag, eventually I googled it and found where it was 😂 Looks like a great little spot you and your friends found, nobody is going to stumble across you there !! Ooooh happy birthday mum, and good questing about the wild swimming … I don’t know, I’d say any swimming outside would count as wild swimming I totally agree there’s no point in waiting, it’s something I’ve only just realised and in fact my last 3 hikes have been after work hikes Loved this Chloe, I love your videos the messages you put across, I’m sat by the side of Loch Awe watching this and if all goes to plan I’ll squeeze Ben Nevis in after work …. Like you said we can’t keep just waiting. Speak soon Alan Team54 🥾⛰⛺️❤️
Ah how wonderful! Will Ted ever accompany you in the mountains when he's bigger?! I just hopped over to your channel to see if you'd made any posts on him...oh my, that clip of him at the beach, he looks utterly adorable! Those whistles are sneakily hidden aren't they 😂 I was a step behind you - I didn't even know there was a whistle that I couldn't find until someone posted on Instagram about it! It's been a very recent realisation for me too - and it seems we have reacted in a similar way. Squeezing in Ben Nevis after work... now you don't hear that all too often! That sounds incredible, and what a way to spend your time after work. I hope you made it up there!
@@ChloeRoseHarrison hey Chloe, yeah he will definitely be coming up with me, I have a border collie called Sheba and she comes up with me if it’s a safe enough route Yeah I managed to get up. @@54DegreesNorth Oh how lovely! She must love getting out like that. That is one hell of an after work trip! You must have been exhuasted after that, but fulfilled too I'm sure. Look foward to hopefully seeing some of that drone footage! All the best :)
It's nice having a whistle Chloe but do you know the code for rescue, how many times do you blow for help and if you hear a whistle how do you reply with your whistle ? Questions, questions. ATB cheers from NZ
Great point - I didn't know the codes until very recently, but as soon as I realised I had a whistle I have learnt them. I know the call for help, sos, 'where are you?' and 'come here', but I am sure there are many more important ones I am yet to come across that I should learn. Lovely to hear from you! A trip to NZ is a dream of mine...
@@ChloeRoseHarrison Glad to hear that you have taken the time to learn the codes, as well as a whistle you can use rifle fire, that sound can travel well, but you probably won't be using a rifle. You dream of coming to NZ, well don't let your dream turn to regret. you will not be disappointed. my favourite range is the Tararua range. Most of my life has been spent there as a guide and for recreation. It is as long as your London to Brighton and 30 k wide .You can see it on line, we have over 50 huts there that you can sleep in and some are very remote and of course there are no restrictions on where to camp (except in the high tourist areas) and none of that nonsense of arrive late leave early. If you do come down to the bottom of the world make it a long stay as there is so much to see and do especially if you like the 'out doors'. I like your attitude towards the forest and well being. When I was 16 an older man said to me "as you go through life , keep your bags packed lightly" . It took me years to understand what he meant, for he wasn't just talking about material things but also the baggage of the mind. The mountains have kept me sane and healthy. This year so far I have done 45 tramps (hikes) last year I did 67. Not everyone can do that and I understand that, never give up a chance to 'go bush' or it may be to late. Well that's all for now happy tramping (hiking). Mike PS we use the term 'Tramping' over here
@@mountainmantararua8824 No, we can't own rifles here, so whistles are the best we have!
