I was at this game, a Wimbledon season ticket holder at the time. Really good memories despite losing on the day. We were safe and so it was nice to see another team survive the drop with my own eyes! Ndlovu = legend
As a Manchester city fan for 38 years that season was the most gut wrenching and deflated I've ever felt supporting them. We went down on goal difference after a 2-2 all draw against Liverpool. And to rub salt in the wounds United won the league at Middlesbrough. MCFC
This wasn’t the last game of the season, Coventry drew 0-0 with Leeds to stay up on goal difference as did Southampton who drew 0-0 with Wimbledon. Man City drew 2-2 with Liverpool and went down. All three clubs finished with 38 points.

A never-ending story: sheer brilliance on tap from the magnificent Sky Blues.
