Oil Fires, always remember to slap the handle in a down ward motion and fling it all over your self What this technique does is is flings fire all over you so that way when you run out side the fire is not inside anymore.
If they would have done that last one in a average size room like a 12 x 12 x 8 foot room it would have been near or at flash point. Igniting everything else in the room.
Clothing manufacturers make synthetic workwear nowadays. They try to save money. They say that its uv protection, moisture wicking, or cooling clothing. Can you imagine the burns from synthetic clothing from dripping fire?
I would of thought America would have some sort of fire safety standard for furniture. Here in the uk practically everything in a house or office has a set level of fire resistance by law.
jej3451 no even the cheep shit us fire rated ikea is not more expensive and the cheep rivals ar also safe we still have 150 euro/pound wash machine's 100€£ fridges and so on but shit is safe cause its requierd to be
You probably could put that out with a garden hose but the smoke would be terrible. You wouldn't be able to see or breath. Plus look how fast its spreading by the time you get the hose half the room is on fire.
you are not suposed to use a fog stream because the center can allow heat to come back to you you are suposed to use a straight stream because you can aim it exactly where you want it and it goes through the air and doesent act as a funnle

Actually it’s rare to see another house catch fire from the first one. Second, a pan fire can be put out with just an extinguisher, then throw the cookie sheet on top and carry the whole pot with a pot holder outside and spray it with the hose or throw snow on it and burry it in the snow. Using just the cookie sheet could cause a re-ignition and causing it to get even bigger.
I'm very disappointed in this video. You never, ever ever throw water on a grease fire, and only CERTAIN fire extinguishers should be used. But you are right, if it is hot enough, it could reignite and flash if the cookie sheet is removed too soon. Baking soda is best on a grease fire.
@@mrs117firewife8 You can also use a class ABC dry chem fire extinguisher or a class K wet agent fire extinguisher (class F in Europe I believe). The class K extinguisher uses water + a wetting /foaming agent and discharges as a mist rather than the direct stream you would get from a water extinguisher. The agent spreads over the top of the burning liquid where it both cools and cuts off the air supply to the fire.
. "Actually it’s rare to see another house catch fire from the first one." True, but In more densely populated urban areas or suburban it is not uncommon for a fire in one building to spread to a nearby exposure. Often damage to the exposure is minimum or prevented as one of the main concerns of the fire dept. is to protect adjacent exposures.
I would love to see what it would look like to have the same kind of shingles... but more aged... tis kind of silly to have new shingles... that has yet to experience the different seasons and determine if the fire safety level is any better...
that may be true... but what really matters is how the hold up after a couple of seasons... or even longer. Is it just like dried up bark? or does it actually hold up a bit better than I what I would think would be the same as holding a dry piece of wood, waiting for it to catch on fire easily.
What’s wrong with this picture?👆🏼 I’ll give you a hint...the firefighter’s wearing something over his face that doesn’t appear to be of concern to the host. With due respect sir, these plastics you’re referring to are toxic and kill people and you just walked into a smoldering environment of it and video taped it.🤔. Even more dangerous than the fire itself and how rapidly it spreads, are the off gases you just breathed in...Just a lil heads up.
I love it how that guy says...Fire.
Steven Navarro He turns "fire" into a two-syllable word.

For some odd reason i feel sorry for the stuffed animal does anybody else
It made a bold sacrifice to teach people about the danger of a living room fire.
I did too
Rip stuff animals
Yes I’m very touched by things and that kid will never see that toy ever again and that could have been his or her favorite toy so it’s really sad
R.I.P stuffed dog it might be his or her favorite stuffed animal
Wool is a great natural fiber because it has lanolin so it doesn't burn easy. Wool is used in firefighter's clothes too.
RIP pot of Flowers ????-2016.
Seth Horst 1 hour old lol

Thank you for this video I needed to look at it

I'm shocked that Kevin didn't touch anything lol
Good to know

What a fascist government you guys have over there. No wonder everything is more expensive.

yeah i bet your printer paper is fireproof too lmao
Don't think so!!! At its for our own safety.
America is powered by greed... if a house burns down then someone has to buy another one don't they? It's sad...
They need to add fire hoses in residential houses, kind of like how they have in commercial buildings.
This guy has a pyromaniacs dream job. He sets stuff on fire all day.
Are plasticy shingles like that common in the US?
Fyyyyres
That leaving room fire if you caught with 1-2 min. You could get a huge pots of water and dump it in it
5:42 I thought he was gonna say "It's time to get the fuck out".
Now I’m gonna go through my house and remove things that could cause a fire
Excellent...
There is a recalled Kidde fire extinguisher in this video
R.I.P teddy
5:18 what a waste of furniture..😑😣☹

I never realized how dangerous house fires could actually be.
Yep. I've heard people die in them.
Don’t put the pan in the sink and turn the water on. Holy hell.
I haven't watched this show since I was 8 now I am 15 almost 16
Wow home fries are dangerous
s50201 ha hahahahahaha😂😂😂😂😂😂fries you mean fires right?????
Fyre
So, UL does their best to make sure certain materials have some fire resistance, if any...yet they test smoke alarms in a fucking vacuum chamber?

Home fries.. dang my eyes tired.
So, in other words by making more and more stuff out of plastics and synthetic materials we have made our homes much more dangerous.
Yeah I learned about synthetic fibers years ago and since then I only buy textiles with natural fibers.

Don't carry burning pans around. If you spill burning oil, you spread the fire. Cover it with a lid and wait for it to cool (at least 30 min).

They probably test that too, most roofing shingles have a 25 to 30 year lifespan.

Fun fact of the day: Fire is hot and can cause burning.
rlly?
Yip I read it in a book.
iShootBandits wow
I thought modern fabric had to be fire resistant? I thought materials were safer now than before…🔥🧵
