Here's something Portland doesn't want you to know. Most, if not all, of the food carts are going away because of the development. We've already lost two food cart pods. Not everything you should expect on TV is true. I'm born and raised in Portland
do you guys have any (non-americanized) italian food cart? Portland and its scene is calling me in some way and my kitchen skills are solid enough to make you guys happy :d Yeah i'm dreaming a life in a food cart in Portland during a pandemic
Being a born and raised in the area, the one thing I miss the most since I moved 10 years ago, is the food. People can say what they want about Portland but there is no place like home! There was everything from The Brew pubs, best pizza places, amazing Moroccan food, Japanese noodles, Pho, yum and of course Voodoo donuts. But the food trucks, there is nothing like it. These vendors come together to bring love on a paper plate. When I saw that Tillamook cheddar pesto grilled cheese, I just can't express how home sick I got. Thank you for sharing a little home, lol. 😘
You need to add Sugar Street Bakery and Bistro in Portland Oregon on this list. Honestly the cupcakes are ridiculously DELICOUS and they are named after Portland streets.... Naito, Hawthorne, Burnside, Pettygrove, Alberta, etc. Thye are also know for their V/GF desserts and doggie treats. This place is so popular and trendy but still a lot of non locals have no idea about it! BTW, the pear/strawberry arugula salad, ginger Asian bowl, and breakfast burrito are AMAZING... Sugar Street Bakery is blacked owned as well as female owned!
I live a short drive away from some food carts around a bar.when my family goes there(usually without my dad), we always go to the sushi cart, the sushi there is reallllly good. you should go try it. its in clackamas
Been in Portland 20 years. You have to be careful. A lot of food carts are not open when they should be. Especially the weekend. It’s really frustrating when I want a certain cart and they do not update Facebook or IG on their hours or days of operation. It so bad I refuse to drive from Beaverton to Portland unless I know a cart is open. Almost all of the food carts are open during the work week because of workers. But they seem to forget a lot of people want good carts on a Sunday. That’s when we get to travel to Portland to eat.
I hope they asked for the burger to be cooked like that, that is a lot of pink I'm seeing. Anyway, makes me sad I'm nowhere near Portland now. My brother is, though, so I should ask him to eat stuff for me.
@1:50 I gasped in horror when she said "Tillamooook" cheddar. Tillamook rhymes with book!!
Yeah and after she made fun of the way her companion pronounced Alder

You cannot go to Cartopia without going to Pyro Pizza! It’s the best pizza in the entire world! And they make their own soda

Bro she ain’t even from Oregon with that pronunciation of Tillamook. I wouldn’t be surprised if she used to say OreGone before moving to Portland.
