I watched this on the morning of my Math test, and I passed! Thank you for the helpful video! I highly recommend splitting the testing between two days. All 4 tests on one day would be a lot. Best of luck everyone! You got this! Never stop learning.
took all four test today on four hours of sleep. It is crazy long and exhausting to take all at once. I scored 168 in the language, 162 in social studies, 158 in science, and 153 in math. I live in Alabama by the way. I dont know if the testing is different elsewhere. Also keep in mind that I did very little studying for language, science, and social studies. In the end reading comprehension is all you really needed. In the essay, you have to read a really long paragraph that has two arguments. The goal of the essay is to decide who has the better argument based on the facts that are presented. Pulling out information from the essay was easy, but the compiling of information and typing it down in my own words took forever. I'm not a fast typer or good speller so this one was hard to do before the time ran out. Science was a bitch. It had much smaller paragraphs than the language portion, but it was so harder to understand. I felt like a couldn't understand English while reading most of these paragraphs. I almost didn't finish the test in time because I just had such a hard time reading the paragraphs. It seemed to be mainly testing your reading comprehension and knowledge of how to read graphs. It also threw several questions at me that told me to use a calculator. I didnt have a clue on what to calculate so I relied on reading comprehension and critical thinking to guess. Social studies was a lot like language but a little harder. You had to read long paragraph and answer the questions based on the paragraph. You had to read paragraphs from things like presidential speechs and answer questions like "What did president mean from this statement?"or "What can we infer is the presidents standpoint from his speech?" It also talks about the different government branches and what they do. I didnt know which branches did what so I wish I had studied up on the basic government branches and how bills, laws, and acts get passed. I dont remember a ton of questions that dealt with the branches but it definitely would have upped my score if I had know the basics. For math it had a lot word problems, make an algebraic equation from the word problems, solve for x type problems, and graphs. I cant think of anything else about math. Just make sure you understand how to graph, make an algebraic equation, factor, FOIL, fractions, exponents, etc. During testing I would have rather have done another math test than science because your brain didn't turn to absolute mush during math. Are there any more videos with practice questions? They really help! : )
Your helping a lot I have trouble focusing for long periods of time so I have been doing a few problems at a time. But this is the best ged prep I’ve come across yet! Just so you know when you post a comment make sure you pin it so that it is the top comment in the comment section, that way everyone sees it when you have to make a correction after you posted the video :)
Let me just say because of you I passed 2 if my test now I’m on to my math and I feel very confident about passing this one. Thank you so much for all that you do 🎉
Hi, I’ve been watching your videos during my entire time of taking my GED exams and they’ve all been so helpful. I have my last exam (,which is the mathematical one) in two days and I am so thankful for your help!! I will update this comment when I know how it went. Just, thank you so much❤️
Hey, yes I did! I forgot to update the comment, so here’s what happened. The day of the exam i was pretty excited, not nervous, but excited and the videos this guy posts are amazing, so that boosted my confidence a lot more. Before even watching the videos, i felt like i never could have done the exams, just because i was scared of failing. Although sometimes you will think they’re pretty easy, the exam doesn’t have extremely difficult questions (especially towards the end and that isn’t only the case with Maths). Sometimes, however, you are going to find more difficult questions, which you will be able to answer, by learning things from the book. I used the Kaplan book, i think it’s called. This big, blue book. I also didn’t learn every single thing from it, as there is just SO MUCH information and i felt like i just wanted to get it over with. I had also previously already learned most of these things for all the subjects, except Maths. I will say, getting either a more difficult or easier exam is just pure luck. That said, they never truly are extremely difficult. One last tip i can still give you: I’m not sure if Maths is the only exam you still have left, but for all the other people who might come across this comment, just please remember this and it will assure you of getting much better grades!!! You will want to read every single question in DETAIL. Read it out to yourself, nice and loud in your head. Take apart the words and think the same question to yourself in other words - they love to get you mixed up, which will make you lose a bunch of time, make you overthink and finally have you choose the wrong answer. Make sure you know what they are asking from you and don’t get stuck on one question!! Move on to the next one, if you don’t know what to do, pick a random answer, flag it, so you have the option to come back and change the answer, if you still have some additional time left to check answers (which you probably will not have, but if you do, then great job!!). All in all, some people might think, passing the GED is impossible or extremely difficult. Passing all 4 subjects is actually not too difficult. You can pass it even faster/ easier if you get help from people on youtube too and don’t give up. Remember why you started and push through. Whoever’s reading this, i believe in you, because not many people believed in me. Good luck!
I failed my math test on Thursday and I am not discouraged I am going again and this time I am taking more hours to study I couldn't study much because I was not feeling well and slept in the night before so now I am preparing myself because I am about to do bigger and better things in the Navy I gave up high school to raise my kid and now he's 3 and his brother is 4 months and I just want them to be proud to have a smart mom and a hero 🥰 thank you Parker for helping us all I passed three subjects with your videos!!
@@lorenacaro7670 don't be nervous... in my opinion you have an easy subject left to do. Two to three weeks I watched all of his videos just the math ones. The practice questions are very helpful if you have the time you should do all the practice questions with him. He does excellent explaining. Also there are lots of slope questions make sure you understand that very well. Word problems are very important to understand as well. Good luck!
I’m so happy 😀 I watched this video last evening and learned soooo much, I actually did algebra on my own and got it correct. 🙌 it made me felt so good that I decided to take the pretest right after and I passed 🤗 I have to study more so that I can understand slope of the line, factors, diameter and radius and of course basic algebra. About question #2, Can you please elaborate 12 - 20 = -12. I’m so confused. I’ve never been to school and I can’t seem to understand why -12 is the answer. I got -8 btw
He did it incorrectly, you always subtract from the larger number. So you would flip the equation, subtract 12 from 20 to get 8 and because you flipped it you change it to negative.
Muchas Gracias por su tiempo y ayudar a muchos a lograr su sueño acabo de pasar mi test y soy una nueva graduada estoy tan feliz ! Gracias mil Gracias, Dios le Bendiga

Glad u passed ! i need to review this video acouple times to get it in my head , i sadly never really paid attention to my teachers in high school and regret that , thanks to this video he's being easy on math rookies like me
your little drawings are amusing, it helps to visualize a problem! maybe you should use a stylus pen, so writing #s won't be so hard for you, and its legible. Or you could splitscreen mode, and videocam your calculations on paper on one side, and the other side is the test questions. Thanks for all you do.
Thanks for the support! These are all great suggestions. I'll definitely look into a stylus pen and will consider trying some splitscreen stuff. I'm still learning all the ins and outs of making videos (as you can probably tell lol), so I appreciate all the ideas I can get. Thanks again!

Hey Parker, just a quick question about problem #2, without the calculator. I got -8 for (12-20) but you used -12 and I got a different answer when using -8. My final answer came out to be 216. I added 24 + 192 instead of 36 + 192. I'm not sure where you got the -12 for (12-20). Can you elaborate, please?
Hi, thank you for watching! Sorry for the confusion. I made a mistake on the second question while making this video. Your answer is correct. Again, sorry for the confusion. Good luck to you!
I've been staying along with each questions doing as brush up because i didnt pass my first ged math test by one question so hopefully this helps me pass
I love your videos I almost have my whole ged 75 percent complete you helped me get a 150 on my science so ty so much do you have any videos on linear equations and using the slope? Those are some of the last things I need to work on before I take the test thank you again for all your help !
If there's any way you can help. I'm on a ged practice test and this is the question. At the end of every month, Katie saves 20 percent of her take home pay after taxes. If Katie is taxed at a 25 percent tax rate, and S represents Katie’s monthly salary before taxes, which of the following expressions represents Katie’s total savings at the end of six months? After tax income=S−S(0.25) After tax income=0.75S How did they come up with 0.75S? They dont explain that
First, consider this: 1-.25 =.75. Now in the equation S-S(.25), think of S as 1S. So 1S-.25S=.75S. Is that what you were asking about? Or were you asking how they made the after tax income equation?
Test Prep Champions no you answered it perfectly! I got a 160 on my ged practice test and i am scheduled to take the real test this Thursday! I’m stoked! Next will be language arts.
Sorry I have to correct you on question two. You said -3(12-20)+3×4^3 is "228". I got "216”. You said (12-20)= -12 but it is -8. But I am surprised I got the answer though, I checked to see which answer was right on the calculator just to be sure, because I was certain the answer to the parenthesis part was -8 and the calculator also got "-8" and to double check at the end I did use a calculator and it also got "216".
@@TestPrepChampions It's ok! It helped me pay close attention, so it actually helped a bit. Hi love your study guides been super helpful as i study but for #18 you chose to round from the beginning... which the answer at the end rounds one cent higher then if you were to wait til the end amount to round.....$25.42728 which would be $25.43... would they mark it wrong if we chose to round from the beginning like in your example? tyia!!!
Problem 4: after plugging in the square root of 296 in my calculator, I’m getting 2square root 74. My question is, how did you plug it in the calculator and get 17.2 in decimal point?
I have a question regarding the Ged Test. So i know there are 4 tests in total, to take, but say for example, i passed 3 out of the four tests, would Ii be able to redo that test sepratley or would i be required to retake everything again ??
You can NOT add unlike-terms (192x+24 are not meant to be added, they are the answer, you can old add things like 192x+24x because these are like-terms)
for the problem number 2 I got -8 so i plugged that in im really confused on how you got -12 when 12-20= -8 not -12? can you explain this for me please. :]

Thank you for being patient, thank you for being able to survive. And as you read this, promise yourself that you will be able to get through your toughest days in the future.
Promise to keep smiling, no matter how you are ...
You deserve to be happy :)
Damn....... that actually felt like the real test!!! Thank you so much for helping, its nice to know there are still good people out here willing to help others! I just would like to comment the problems that I had trouble with....17, 19 and 20. #6 i didn't understand not adding in the 3.14 for Pi but i did the problem another way and still got it right.
Thank you for your comment! I thought I pinned it, but apparently not ;) It's pinned now. Good luck with your studying!
JUST PASSED
@@pandabear7308 AWESOME JOB!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Hey man, just want to thank you for all your videos! Did them all just before my exams and past first time with great marks all thanks to you !
Referring to question #2, the x between the 3 and 4 looks to be a variable. It is being treated as a multiplication symbol.
Just, thank you so much❤️
Hey did you pass?
Good luck!
Thank you and CONGRADULATIONS🥳!!
Thank you and CONGRATULATIONS
I failed my math test on Thursday and I am not discouraged I am going again and this time I am taking more hours to study I couldn't study much because I was not feeling well and slept in the night before so now I am preparing myself because I am about to do bigger and better things in the Navy I gave up high school to raise my kid and now he's 3 and his brother is 4 months and I just want them to be proud to have a smart mom and a hero 🥰 thank you Parker for helping us all I passed three subjects with your videos!!
I don't know how to say thank you enough.
I passed the math ged test today just by watching your videos. Thanks so much.🙏
How long did you study for which videos were helpful sorry so many questions lol ? Math is my last test I’m so nervous
Good luck!
@@deborahthomas1736 did you have an issue with the scratch pad ? Thank sooo much for the advice
@@lorenacaro7670 no I didn't not have any problem at all
I’m so happy 😀 I watched this video last evening and learned soooo much, I actually did algebra on my own and got it correct. 🙌 it made me felt so good that I decided to take the pretest right after and I passed 🤗 I have to study more so that I can understand slope of the line, factors, diameter and radius and of course basic algebra. I will be taking my test when I feel very confident because I just wanna get pass this. Maths is my last subject, I already passed science, LA, and social-studies. You are amazing and I wish I can hug you, I will update after my exam.
Guys You can do it too, I’m almost 31 years old and dropped out of high school in the 11th grade due to depression.
I drop out of school in the 11th also due to social anxiety it was pretty debilitating. And I have been trying to get my GED also. I just dont know where to start.
Congrats on everything
About question #2, Can you please elaborate 12 - 20 = -12. I’m so confused. I’ve never been to school and I can’t seem to understand why -12 is the answer. I got -8 btw
I am having same issue. Pls can you explain why it is -12 and not -8? Thanks
He did it incorrectly, you always subtract from the larger number. So you would flip the equation, subtract 12 from 20 to get 8 and because you flipped it you change it to negative.
That’s why I’m in the comments rn -8 is all that makes sense to me and my final answer is 216 instead of 228
@@hasnaamostafamaatouk8692 I think the x was supposed to be a multiplatation
Symbol.. this question has me so stumped bc my answer is very different
Certainly any one can make mistakes, even when training. You have a good eye! 216 is the right answer to my knowledge.
Thank you so much! I passed my maths exam with a score of 160! You are the best
Great job! and thanks!

Thank you for doing these videos!!! I finally passed my Math GED test!! Finally graduated lol.
Congratulations!!! Thank you for watching!
your little drawings are amusing, it helps to visualize a problem! maybe you should use a stylus pen, so writing #s won't be so hard for you, and its legible.
Thanks 🎉

THOSE ERRORS HAD ME THINKING I WAS BUGGIN BUT ALLGOOD I KNEW I WASNT WRONG THNKS FOR THE VIDS!
Sorry for the confusion! I really appreciate you watching!

After tax income=S−S(0.25)
After tax income=0.75S
How did they come up with 0.75S? They dont explain that
First, consider this: 1-.25 =.75. Now in the equation S-S(.25), think of S as 1S. So 1S-.25S=.75S. Is that what you were asking about? Or were you asking how they made the after tax income equation?
Test Prep Champions no you answered it perfectly! I got a 160 on my ged practice test and i am scheduled to take the real test this Thursday! I’m stoked! Next will be language arts.
I passed thank you!!
You're welcome. Congratulations!
What state did you test in?
question 2 has a major mistake of cal (12-20), it is -8, not -12
I saw it too.
Hi, you are correct, there's a mistake in the video. Sorry for the confusion. Good luck on your test!
@@TestPrepChampions It's ok! It helped me pay close attention, so it actually helped a bit. Since I'm usually not that great in math, I was surprised that I actually figured it out, so your videos have helped A LOT along with many helpful channels that explain math very well. :)

your videos they have been so help full Thank you. just fyi the answer on question two should be 216 I believe you might have made an over sight when you said +12--20 = -12 just so people don't get confused. I feel the way you are wording your questions are not clear. I found you other subjects to be much better then your math video. either way thank you for the time you spend helping us all we appreciate it
Wow getting it..... 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Hi love your study guides been super helpful as i study but for #18 you chose to round from the beginning... which the answer at the end rounds one cent higher then if you were to wait til the end amount to round.....$25.42728 which would be $25.43... would they mark it wrong if we chose to round from the beginning like in your example? tyia!!!
For #2, 12-20 is -8, not -12.
Problem 4: after plugging in the square root of 296 in my calculator, I’m getting 2square root 74. My question is, how did you plug it in the calculator and get 17.2 in decimal point?
you need to press a bottom on the calculator that looks like that......< >

thanks i pass science
You can NOT add unlike-terms (192x+24 are not meant to be added, they are the answer, you can old add things like 192x+24x because these are like-terms)
#8 is a good question with bad answer choice, it only has the interest answer and not the combination of interest and principal.
for the problem number 2 I got -8 so i plugged that in im really confused on how you got -12 when 12-20= -8 not -12?
can you explain this for me please. :]
