I love how, despite him being totally incompetent, and having so much horribly malfunctioning equipment, all of his procedures always seem to work 😂

I love how he always almost kills them, or gets them addicted to crystal meth, and yet they keep going back to him 😂
Edit: duh! I just realized they keep going back to him BECAUSE of the free-flowing meth.

Everytime he appeared on screen, you knew it was going to be hilarious. Such a great character.

The writers had to have fun coming up with dialogue for Dr. Spaceman safe in the knowledge that Parnell could sell it regardless of how ridiculous.
"Your blood tastes like root beer and some of your bones appear to have vanished" is a diamond in a sea of diamond quotes
"That's not what these forms say!" The greatest call-back in the show
"Cosby Show Lied To Me" is probably on the form now, probably.
"I've already administered the epidural, so... would you like one as well?"
Chris Parnell is one of the finest character actors of his generation. He delivers every time, in every role.

The bit at 5:40 is pure brilliance! He says exactly - syllable by syllable - what a reporter said live on TV when she was having something like a minor stroke. She’s fine, but for the actor who plays Pete to repeat that gibberish verbatim is just brilliant!
Eee, I don't like that stroke part, glad she's okay. That was amazing by Pete though, he brilliantly delivered nonsense.
Like, the original is a frankly pretty scary clip, but Pete delivers it /so/ well. That moment of scared confusion rounded out with sincere confidence and pride is soooo good
Yeah I can't imagine how long it would have taken to not only memorise it perfectly but to deliver it in such a natural confused manner.

Every scene with “doctor” Leo Spaceman is a funny scene.
I know it would be tough to do, but if the writing crew could create enough content for a 22 minute show, it would own.
Now, this is surgery, so don't eat anything before you come in... because I'll have a big breakfast waiting for you.

One of the things this show did so well is they never over used the tertiary characters. You want more dr. Spaceman scenes, more Len the private investigator, etc. Those characters could've easily gotten old, but they didn't

Writing for this show must've been exhausting. EVERY line is a joke.
The only downfalls of Kimmy Schmidt are that it's 1 jpl (joke-per-line) less than 30 Rock and it doesn't have Chris Parnell.

I so wish they would make a spin off show for Dr. Spaceman. The writing on 30 Rock was so good. Every other line was a funny punch line but it advanced the story as well; just masterful comedy writing.
Jack is so smart in so many ways, and yet he lets Dr Spaceman treat him 🤷🏻♀️
