Been watching Matt's channel since he built his first shipping-container shop and was doing all his work in the dirt with only minimal roof cover - putting in some rock was huge, fir him. Now he has a real shop with floors and actual walls, and lights. Dude knows his stuff, his videos are well edited, and we have only seen him run over a camera once. Okay, it was just one leg of a tripod. And even when he a.most drowned us all in a tidal wave of oil he still edited out the bad words and just left us a "wowsers". And I love when he lets the doggos supervise.
I've been watching Matt for a few years now, a very hard-working, down-to-earth guy who knows his stuff and he is entertaining for sure. Great interview Nate, well done! cheers from Tokyo! Stu
I just started watching Matt's stuff a month or so ago and have since gone back and watched 95% of all his older videos. He is a monument to how it's possible to make an excellent living without screwing around getting a college degree, a la Mike Rowe's foundation. That said, his vocabulary and speech pattern indicate an excellent education. His videos are interesting for sure, and several of them end up being whole mini-series. That was fine for the old stuff that's been finished, but now the current stuff is all partially done, and I'm impatient to get to the next installment -- the new shop, the old jeep, the grader, and all the rest. Thanks for posting this interview -- I wondered about his background. Well done.
The experience of years of hard work makes you wise and humble because you know it can all go tits up in a heartbeat. Matt is a clever guy and also very humble. His dry delivery and foresight makes for a very good watch. When I win the Lottery and buy a D9 and it goes wrong I'm gonna fly Matt to the UK to fix it.
Thank you for doing this interview with Matt aka Diesel Creek. Diesel Creek is my favorite UA-camr takes a lot to beat out AVE but I just love this guy! Over 20 years ago i was taught when trouble shooting and engine Spark, Fuel, Air what don't you have? you need all three to have a running engine .....still holds true today, this is what mat is basically doing when he tries to start something up and I still remind myself of it when I can't get something started.....know I just add what would Matt do if he was here trying to get this started?
Great interview, just found Matt recently and really like His content. He must be fairly close to Me in Pa. as I heard Him mention working on mining equipment. I’ve been in this industry for over 40 years, the last 15 with Rosebud Mining, which I’m just guessing Matt may be familiar with. Thanks for this!
Great interview Nate, I have been watching Matt for years and enjoy what he does and how he does it I have enjoyed his progression on the farm and making his life work.
This was GREAT! And, oddly enough, we have the pandemic to thank for at least some of this. I never watched much UA-cam until Covid, and now I can't get enough.
I keep checking for a notification from Diesel Creek and he’s not posted yet . Then I’ve come across this . What a great interview. I have learned so much from Matt’s videos and I love his sense of humour .At the moment I’m totally invested in watching him building his dream shop . I’m that girl who kept asking my dad if I could help when he was working on his car and my brother was given the job of pressing that pedal for him . We joke years later where my brother trained to be a chef and I work in television as a sound engineer . Don’t get me wrong I’m still a girly girl I just am the only female boss to my all male crews . There is a line and they don’t cross it out of respect but outsiders are still surprised that I’m an engineer . Just because I love cars ,machinery , and drive a truck I can’t buy into losing being feminine . Anyway Matt’s channel is my guilty pleasure . Better go and see if he’s posted yet 😂
Matt my Dad said his work trucks was new until it got a dent or scratch and then it was old but the last 9years he was in bassinet he deduck it out of the bassinet every 3 years and let Uncle Sam pay for it. Up to that he buy any brand he could buy and sell for a profit then , he stared buying Baby Blue.. He own BUCKS AUTO SERVICE in Tucson Az until he retired then he went fishing Love you Dad and miss you. ❤jimmy

I think Scott owes Matt a Burke bar like Andrew. Thanks for representing PA.

He's a star, but how many idols can we support? Once upon a time, it was just ONE, a deity.
Once upon a time? Christ alone, yesterday, today, and always!
I like Matt and all, but he's definitely not an idol.
Enjoyed the podcast Nate. Thank you for the time you put in producing it. Yall take care and God bless.

In Germany, a person who has mastered, excelled in something, he is referred to as Meister. I would refer to Matt as, Herr Matt, out of respect!
Not sure, but I think it is actually, Herr Mister Matt!
