Thank you guys. It does feel lovely to be back on Cordelia and getting ready for a sailing season. Sending hugs to you both, we are with you all the way xxx
Thank goodness that Steve had his Anti - Barracuda pants on! Things are getting expensive in the Med too although, it is about half that price for us and a quarter that in lovely Tunisia 🙂Sail Safe Guys, Ant & Cid
Lucky he had his Anti-Barracuda pants because he's needed them a few time since this episdoe haha! Prices in Guatemala are better so hopefully this will work out for us. Thanks for the support guys 🥰⛵🐾
Thank you and yes, you heard right.....Steve did say he was having a nervous pooh haha! Lovely to have you on board with us and thank you for the support 🥰⛵🐾 xx
So great to see you on your way finally guys and Cordelia is looking great 😍, very impressed at the hull cleaning. Totally get the nervous 💩s btw - lots of those happening on Galene 😂
Thank you. We are so pleased to be back on board. I know you understand the feeling of being away from your home and after so long, this feels so good. Yes, we love the CopperCoat, would definitely apply it again if we still have Cordelia when its needed. After a year of no sailing, we're both a bit anxious about leaving Martinique, but we will even if there are more nervous poohs 😅 😂 🤣
Yes, but very easy to remove. We are super pleased with the CopperCoat and would definitely do it again if we had to. Yes, we'll be pleased to actually get a proper sail in 🥰⛵🐾
Glad to see the coppercoat still holding up and hate to think what it would have been like without it, but get a good idea looking at mine. good to see you're back on the move. haircut looks great 🙄. Have fun
Just my two cents...We spent a hurricane season in Rio Dulce. It is hurricane safe, but has a lot of lightening. Summer of 2023 there were around 12 boats stuck by lightening. Also flying out is very hard. You'll have to either hire a car or take a bus to Guatamala City to fly out. I think there is only one route that is dog friendly. It's a very long trip and can't be done in one day, so you'll need to secure a hotel that is dog friendly for at least one night. Good luck with whatever decision you make!
@@SailingRoam Thank you for telling about your experience, it has put a different light on our thoughts. We are still doing alot of research, so will add your points to the list of things we need to find out especially about our dog Gus. Thanks guys 🥰⛵️🐾
Wow look at that prop did it take long to clear? Your outtakes are hilarious and Steve’s hair cut still makes me laugh. Don’t be touching Annette’s Steve I’m not there to sort it out 🤣🤣 xx
Yes, it took a few attempts at getting it cleared. It was almost pretty looking though wasn't it? I hate it when Steve cuts his hair that short, but at least it grows xx 🥰⛵🐾
Your very welcome Steve. Keep up the Spanish. Great video and really loved Steve's haircut. Too bad you're a sissy with the barracuda. Muchos besos. Love and miss you guys.
OUCH ...Thats expensive !! winter berth in a marina in Greece just cost me 80 Euros a month and the flight back to the uk cost me 48 Euros , the only time I go to the carib is when someone else is paying me lol
Yes, it is expensive especially when you're living on a buget like us. However, Guatemala is better priced so hopefully we can sorted there and do the work we need to do on Cordelia, she's getting in a desperate state 🥰⛵🐾
If we could we would. We want to do the Bahamas and BVI's but we can't go into US with our boat unless we have the B1/B2 visa and we didn't have time to get that back in the UK. We can get it in several places this side of the pond and we are investigating that. Othewise, we will have to hitch a ride with someone else.....wink wink lol 🥰⛵🐾
It is seriously bad welding and we weren't too happy, but out on a mooring bouy with the wind we weren't sure what it was going to end up like. Steve had already found a welder in Guatemala that we will use to sort it out 🥰⛵🐾
No, I can honestly say on this occasion I was not at the helm, I was asleep in the cockpit, woke up and said to Steve 'we're rather close', at which point we went BANG lol 🥰⛵🐾
That is super nice of you, thank you. We have got prices so far for marina's & haul-outs, we are now looking for prices for boat work. We need Cordelia varnished, topsides painted and coachroof painted plus some interior carpentry work (new sofa, sink and freezer area). Can I get hold of you on Whatsapp please? Thanks, Steve and Annette 🥰⛵🐾
@@SailingSVCordelia I know RAM is best regarded for paintwork and varnishing. One reason is RAM has a huge covered area for yacht AND mast…at a cost, I guess! They also have guys skilled in a variety of coatings.
@@wildbeastescapes Yes, we saw that and have considered RAM for that reason. We might wet berth somewhere whilst we pop back home and then go to RAM for that work, subject to price.
@@SailingSVCordelia I’m at Happy Iguana Marina which is a great marina, and the dockmaster will check on your boat while you’re away. I was away in South America for six weeks and he opened up the boat and took photographs. For a very reasonable tip!
We're so glad to see you off the mooring ball and ready to sail again. Cheers R & K

The Barry Cuda looked menacing. Gus would have protected Steve for sure. Glad to see you moving again ❤
Yes, Gus would have loved a good fight, but luckily, we didn't need him on this occasion! 😂 xx
Thanks guys!
Thanks for watching & commenting Trev, really appreciate your continued support xx 🥰⛵🐾

Greetings from a beautiful country of Chile.Thank you for the video.I m sailor ,crossed all the Pacific ocean
That's amazing, so you know what it takes to cross a big ocean. We're still working our way up to that lol.

6:28 seriously ugly welds, i think that’s because the generator was kicking in and out, but that’s an easy fix at a later date..
