Rose I feel has the best reaction to a Regeneration. She speaks for every new Who fan that began in 2005 and didn't have anything from Classic Who to go back on. Or knew anyone who had grown up with the Classic era.
Its a realy good deep thinking episode. Why they bring it out like a delete szene? We learn who a real person would react to a modern regeneration. That Rose is not so easy thinking "Okay, he is New. Like the Face. Moving On.". This should happend more often. Good Work Piper! Good Work Tenneth!
Tennant was literally the resurrection of 'The Doctor'. So appropriate that the delightful Piper was there with him at this beginning. I miss them both.

@@fulcrum1257 she eventually accepted him tho, and she didn't leave him. She could have decided to not travel with him anymore because of how he looked, but she didn't. Dan Jonesy Amy and Rory "dragged on"? You can't tell me they were worse than Clara. Granted, Amys story before Rory waited 2000 years was running a bit slow but i think Rory added a bunch of life into the storyline for a while. I do agree with you about the ending though.
Clara was AWFUL. She was bland and boring alongside Eleven but at least generally minded herself better. She was a total control freak with Twelve and became absolutely insufferable. I couldn’t stand her and her ending up with her own TARDIS at the end just infuriates me even more. I’ve never been so ready to be done with a DW companion as I was Clara (Donna being a close second).

@@designate_om OK, I misremembered then. Yeah, they really need to edit the shorts into the episodes. This and the one with the Fifth Doctor, especially, since they tie the episodes together.
I’m not calling him ugly at all but y’all really sleep on the fact that Rose wanted 10 to change back into 9. It’s not just because she was used to that face, it’s the person she fell in love with. 10 is a pretty boy compared to 9 and she still wouldn’t have given him the time of day because she loved 9. She believed 10 was still 9 and she was right. That’s the only reason she stayed with him.
I felt that too that the only reason she accepted him cause he said he was the same as 9 and with the metacrisis doctor the doctor says that me when we first met
I imagine it has to do with 9 being so accepting of his regeneration. 10 obviously didn't want to go and probably fought against it with all he had. 11 had just been given a new regeneration cycle so it makes sense the process would be less stable.
@@leowulf5280 Oh yeah, that's definitely it, I think. If you watch 12 to 13, you can see how calm and excited she was; that was due to the 12th doctor being so accepting of his regeneration

Morgan Brown um maybe bc the doctor never really takes the time to explain it despite the fact that it can happen at any moment given that they’re constantly in danger? lol

In this episode Rose was surprised by the Regeneration that the doctor had had had so she's probably thinking who the hell is this dude does he really expect me to believe does he really expect me to believe he's a real doctor and even if he is and why am I scared this is confusing what why can't I get my head around this

"can you change back?" I wish he could. Eccleston was the best.. shame we only got one season with the 9th doctor. Don't get me wrong David was terrific. But Eccleston was FANTASTIC!
The first episode after a regeneration, when the new Doctor wears the clothes you most associate with the Doctor that came before him always hurts. Seeing Ten wear Nine's clothes, or Elven wearing Ten's clothes etc etc. It just feels weird. It only lasts for one episode, but that whole time you can't help but feel like it's just 'off'. And once they don their own new wardrobe, it's back to normal again. Or, you know, as close to normal as this show can get.
I really find it funny how Nine goes through the process of explaining everything and he’s like “You’re ready now. I’m gonna change, okay? Don’t panic.” And then when he does, Rose just goes “....nope, not him. IMPOSTER!”
He’s the first doctor that I’ve ever seen ( before I decided to watch the whole series from the beginning☺️) He has a different place in my heart 💗 cause 10th doc introduced me to the show :)
Shame its incomplete, this is the best quality video I have ever seen of this short. Literally the first time I could actually hear that one line "Ooh, I haven't used this one in years"
I remember this so well in 2005, I was 15 and Eccleston was my introduction to Dr Who earlier that year. It was in the media after the first episode he wouldn’t be returning for series 2 but that didn’t help prevent me get attached to him and love him in the role. When he regenerated into Tennant and this little intro of him aired on children in need later that year I didn’t want to accept him in the role but at the same time found him intriguing, weird and alien and later grew to love him in the role too. I don’t think anyone else could have took over from Eccleston so successfully and make the role completely his own once again with such a level of enthusiasm. Looking back it’s amazing how successfully the show was revived with a new doctor in 2005 and then introduced a new new doctor so soon after.

@@HilmyA.S. You didn't. It was filmed for Children in Need. The Christmas Invasion (Tennant's first full appearance of the Doctor) starts with the TARDIS already crashing into Earth, the Doctor steps out and pretty much immediately faints. So this scene takes place between two episodes.

Rose I feel has the best reaction to a Regeneration. She speaks for every new Who fan that began in 2005 and didn't have anything from Classic Who to go back on. Or knew anyone who had grown up with the Classic era.
10: *burps up time vortex energy* OH COME ON I JUST GOT HERE
RadialEnergy XD
Its a realy good deep thinking episode. Why they bring it out like a delete szene? We learn who a real person would react to a modern regeneration. That Rose is not so easy thinking "Okay, he is New. Like the Face. Moving On.". This should happend more often. Good Work Piper! Good Work Tenneth!
This wasn't a deleted scene this was filmed for Children in need as "the first apparition of Tennant as The Doctor"
@@ambarodriguez4 Thnx coz I couldn't figure out why this was missing on my BR!

Tennant was literally the resurrection of 'The Doctor'.
So appropriate that the delightful Piper was there with him at this beginning.

Rose reaction is what I except the new companion reaction to be like, instead of "oh okay u got new face" its like something unexpected just happend in your face and u are just scared
Clara had an entire episode dedicated to her not accepting the new doctor
@@fulcrum1257 They didn't get along over several episodes I think.
@@jochenstacker7448 they were somewhat getting along but it was a rocky start.
@@fulcrum1257 she eventually accepted him tho, and she didn't leave him. She could have decided to not travel with him anymore because of how he looked, but she didn't. She wanted to stay and since he was all over the place and kept passing out after he regenerated she felt the need to be his 'carer', if you will. She knew he needed her support, but she didn't ask for him to change back. She learnt what she had to and came to realise that just because the doctor looks different it doesn't mean he isn't there anymore.
Rose and Clara, my favourite companions. Especially Rose, she's a live one.
Tennant in this scene is so baby-faced. He looks amazing 😍
Top 3 companions: Rose, Donna, Amy
I'd personally swap Donna for Rory
Can’t stand Amy or Rory, their time dragged on and I was happy they left by the end which was an unsatisfying departure anyway.
Dan Jonesy Amy and Rory "dragged on"? You can't tell me they were worse than Clara. Granted, Amys story before Rory waited 2000 years was running a bit slow but i think Rory added a bunch of life into the storyline for a while. I do agree with you about the ending though.
D Brooke Clara is not a bad character.
I still remember being so shocked when 9 became 10. I had never heard of Doctor who at the time. But it had me crying. I was like who the hell is this!? Then he grew on me in the end. Then he lost so much and gah!! He and nine will both have a special place in my heart forever.
"New teeth,Barcelona!"

All that glorious hopping
10 effortlessly slipped into the role and I loved him instantly.
The 9th and the 10th doctor are the best doctors out of the seasons of the show.
11 has his issues, 12's run was a mess, and 13 is... well, the less said is for the better
I'll always say 2 and 4 are the best.
yes, although I do love Matt Smith as an actor, but considering the knowledge I already have about the writer who's written his era, I highly doubt his doctor will be anywhere near as great and powerful character as 9th and 10th
The doctor and rose is the cutest and most amazing thing ever! I hated the way it had to end. :(
oh god so do i
why he didn't say i love yoou and live together as a couple :p
but he was kinda happy cuz we have seen him smiling ,,, when rose and meta crisis doctor kissed ,,,, it was like he feel exactly what his "copy" feel ,,, ( enjoying his love story with rose and the feeling of living with her a normal life as a couple) ,,,, and i really hope it was the case and he did feel this feeling like he was with rose not the meta crisis like the meta crisis was just a sort of connexion way between them ,,, and the doctor could live his love story with his rose through him ,,,,
anyway thats what i feel everytime i see him smiling at them when kissing ,,,, ^^
what's ur opinion ? am i right ? or a little bit too romantic xD
@@meriemcullen8510 I mean there was a special connection, far and wide. Warmed the heart. Not sure about romantic (maybe little) but meaningful definitely.
I loved that rose went into defense mode. Like from her perspective the doctor was in trouble he exploded, or was taken somewhere in a weakened state and she went into "okay rose lets think what could this possibly be think like the doctor, teleport, no the tardis has protocols against hostile teleportation from inside it, transmits wouldnt replace a person, this is a bad guy i should start monologing to buy some time in case its dangerous" She went 100% doctor

It's wild that this scene hasn't been re-edited into parting of the ways (or Christmas Invasion) after all this time. I feel like a lot of newcomers don't even realize this was a thing, and I worry that one day it will become lost media if it isn't properly preserved
There are a lot of dvd copies though, plus the BBC have probably learnt their lesson about not backing up their most famous/beloved shows

Gosh 10 is adorable lol
I think everybody fell in love with David Tennant in this scene, cause I did!
Looking back on this seeing his face bless him as he realises Rose is having a difficult time with his regeneration
Christopher Eccelston, David Tennant, and Matt Smith are the magical big 3, 3 of my most favorite doctors.
I felt that too that the only reason she accepted him cause he said he was the same as 9 and with the metacrisis doctor the doctor says that me when we first met
she loved The Doctor and after witnessing it, didn't matter if he was 9 or 10
Can we appreciate how calm Tenth was compared to his latter incarnations. He was just a bit disoriented while the rest were full blown maniac.
Unlike other incarnations, 10 was born out of love and had his beloved Rose next to him during regeneration
Tenth was NOT calm at all, what are you talking about?
David is sooo cute, especially in that leather jacket
Roses reaction mine reaction would just be the same
MisterExclusive 53 well then what would be the point of being with the doctor if you can’t accept him for his new face all the doctors are the exact same person
Morgan Brown um maybe bc the doctor never really takes the time to explain it despite the fact that it can happen at any moment given that they’re constantly in danger? lol
@@mimiHTcat I Think he only Tell Amy and Rory (and Clara Of Course).
David does such an amazing job on this scene. Yiu can see that moment where she broke his heart... the rejection. ❤😥
You know, Rose seeing the 10th Doctor is kinda like seeing an old friend after a couple of decades. They're still them but they've changed and you don't exactly know if you like them the way they are now.
Hmm yeah I see/know what you mean. Good analogy. For me it's usually a spawn of bad memories. Like seeing a ghost of my past. Upsets me/saddens me. Deeply. Cause wish things hadn't gone that way. Just Makes me very sad. Inside.
In this episode Rose was surprised by the Regeneration that the doctor had had had so she's probably thinking who the hell is this dude does he really expect me to believe does he really expect me to believe he's a real doctor and even if he is and why am I scared this is confusing what why can't I get my head around this
Still love the Christmas Invasion that's still my favorite episode by far I have a least favorite and I have a fever and this particular one is my favorite I love the fact that he fell right on his ass I don't know in Polish I don't know German I don't know French I don't know much but I do know I love Doctor Who but there is times and he wants me want to pull my own hair out

How did I get here? It 6 pm and I have to write an essay!
Its almost midnight and i have a swimming test tomorrow
do you have 90 minutes?
I really find it funny how Nine goes through the process of explaining everything and he’s like “You’re ready now. I’m gonna change, okay? Don’t panic.” And then when he does, Rose just goes “....nope, not him. IMPOSTER!”
I love this moment, he's acting a lot more like 9 would, as he's not really sure who he is.
“Love the mole”
It’s the fact that he gradually becomes less goofy throughout his era as he has to let everyone he loves go
don't remind it to me, it's soul crushing watching that process😭😭😭
He’s the first doctor that I’ve ever seen ( before I decided to watch the whole series from the beginning☺️)
He has a different place in my heart 💗 cause

The way he says Bercelona. 😢 Cutest thing ive ever seen
I like the Tenth Doctor in the Ninth's jacket. Wish we'd had more of it.
Lol I just like how his first line was new teeth that's a little bit weird
When he said "hello" you could actually see a little bit of Chris Eccleston in his face
I wouldn’t be mad at all. He got so attractive after he changed. His personality was also more charming
God I was so sorry to see Nine go I was almost willing to stop watching altogether. And then this smol bean in leather just had me at 'Barcelona!'
"Can you?"
"No"
Rule 1: The Doctor lies
The line about being thinner has really aged badly now we know Eccleston suffered from anorexia throughout the whole shoot.
Oh No yeah I thought that was really horrible
