2 tuner Lengths was WAY too long on my Taylor. But the rest of the video was solid and the wraps come out looking great.
agree 100% soon as he said the distance, I thought it was too long, and then the video zoomed in on the wrap of the low E string and I knew it was too much...
1 to 1.5 tuner lengths is plenty, in my experience.

On the wound strings IMO that's too many wraps. You only 3.
I agree. When I do the over and under method I like to do the top wrap and then two at the bottom for a total of three wraps.
Too many wraps can cause tuning issues and, much worse, permanently damage the tuning machine with the excess wrap trying to pry / force the tuning machine up through the head stock.
This how i used to string when i was a beginner. ... now i string the locking way the way martin guitar has it on their channel with least slag

Any reason I couldn’t change the tuners locking keys on an acoustic? I haven’t seen too many. They make it much faster to change strings.
Question: I put new strings on my Guild M240 Troubadour and when I play the open B-string, there is a "ting" tone similar to a cheap, tin cymbal. That sound wasn't there before I changed my strings, and adjusting the truss rod did not correct it. Looking for some solutions. Thanks.
Which way is best. The way on this clip or the Luthier's knot way??
What kind of neck support are you using... I've never seen one like that

That is a theory up for debate. Almost all guitars have truss rods in them so you can adjust the neck accordingly. If you're using the same string gauge all the time it shouldn't be a problem. Drastic string gauge change (or string tension change if you're using nylon/classical strings for a classical or nylon string guitar) could affect the neck negatively if there isn't a truss rod. On older guitars without truss rods, or guitars that have had neck issues, it's recommended to have lighter gauge strings (or the same exact gauge strings) and to change the strings one at a time to help support and keep tension on the neck. I've worked on thousands of guitars and other instruments such as mandolins including my own and have never encountered a problem changing the strings all at once unless the issues or circumstances I stated where there. I hope this helps.

I just restrung my acoustic guitar with electric guitar strings. They don't sound as bright as acoustic strings but MAN is it sweet having 9's on an acoustic guitar!!
1 1/2 tuner lengths is plenty. This is why Sweetwater doesn't do any set-ups on any guitar for me.
This video skipped all kinds of stuff. You have to lick the fretboard for good measure, you MUST remove all the tuners and put them on in different locations so the government can’t track you. You have to fill the sound hole with expanding foam insulation! Can’t believe they skipped that!

That's a lot of wrapping, one tuner distance is enough.
I get really nervous when I see someone who doesn't tear the ends of the strings on the guitar.
Far too many wraps! Disagree? Maybe you need to better understand the physics and forces of the incline plane / screw - which is what you are creating when you wind a string downward on a tuning post. Eventually, those downward windings reach the lowest point on the tuning post and any additional wraps, having no additional room, are now trying to force apart the tuning machine and / or damage the headstock.
So many errors - hope nobody depends on these instructions!
There aren't any "errors" here. You could use less wraps, but it shouldn't do any harm.
Believe me, too many wrap is vary bad and could even damage the tuners / headstock. The excess downward wraps on the low E-string work to try to pull the tuning machine through the headstock.
