  • This Kinetic Art piece pays homage to Eadweard Muybridge, an English photographer important for his pioneering work in photographic studies of motion. His chronophotographic works can be regarded as movies recorded before there was a method to replay the material in motion.
This hand-operated device consists of an aluminum frame supporting a rotating disc with 16-images, a synchronized light that intermittently illuminates the images, and an optical relay system to redirect the moving pictures toward the viewer’s eye.
